I know this question is incredibly basic, but we have never been to WDW....

For my daughters wish trip in March, my husband is using a Military Salute To The Troops ticket that we purchased on base. We have already added this ticket into MDE and it is linked to my husband.

We will have our Magic Bands, and have them linked to the right person in MDE before we arrive in FL.

Ok, so once we do that....do we need to do anything else prior to entering the park? Can we just walk right to the entrance, bump the bands and enter? Or do we need to go somewhere to activate his ticket?

I mean, can we after linking everything up in MDE....DH to band to ticket ....can we then ride the monorail the next morning from our ADR at the Poly right to MK and enter?

His STT ticket is showing as added on our MDE.

The info that came in our package with his ticket seems a bit outdated and didn't make mention of how this works with the Magic Bands/MDE and the travel rep on base didn't seem to know either. :confused3

Before entering a park you must first stop at the Guest Relations window and activate your tickets. Make sure your DH has his military ID card with him or they will not activate the tickets. There is a short form to fill out and the whole process only takes a few minutes. Once activated, all you will need is your magic band for entering the parks. The process is efficient and quick.

Also, only your DH will need a military ID, but if I remember correctly, all adults/teens in the party need a photo ID. It is fairly simple and quick, and necessary to prevent people who do not qualify from being able to take advantage of the special rates. Once you have completed the activation process your party can split up and park hop as you please!

If you're talking about the 4-day Armed Forces Salute ticket, these need to be activated at WDW, either at a ticket booth or Guest Relations outlet at a theme park or Downtown Disney. Linking them to MDE does not activate them.

Here's good info on how to do it, from Military Disney Tips. This is a great website for discount info on tickets and rooms at WDW and Disneyland. http://www.militarydisneytips.com/b...isney-armed-forces-salute-theme-park-tickets/

Can they be activated at MK Guest relations that first morning or do we need to go to TTC? I don't imagine we will be able to get to DTD before that first morning. Thank you all for the replies.

They can be activated at MK guest relations - we did this on our November trip :)
