Military futures any one?

ive ben considering the army alot lately. school really isnt my thing and i have always wanted to fight for something i believe in and be proud in it. the airforce has also always interested me also. im not afraid to die for something i believe in.

I wanna be in the Air Force! I've always wanted to be an astronaut and to be one you have to be a pilot first. I'm actually having my first flying lesson this summer when I turn 15 and I can't wait! The only thing is that my mom doesn't want me to join the Air Force, but once I'm 18 she doesn't have a choice lol

To be an astronaut, as said, you'd have to go primarily through NASA. Though Air Force experience helps, being a pilot alone isn't just it. I've been a pilot for 4+ years, but my license doesn't nearly qualify for what's needed to become an astronaut. Firstly, if you wanted to garner pilot hours through the Air Force, you would need to enlist as an officer and go through OTS. You would need at minimum 1,000 PIC jet hours.

Not saying it's impossible, and of course military experience always helps, but it's not a piece of cake to do, either.
