Military Families, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen all will need our prayers.

It is getting scary, very scary. Anyone who knows a military service member knows that we are going to war with Iraq. The preparations have been made... huge amounts of troops are being sent to the Middle East "in support of Enduring Freedom".(Afghanistan mission) ya right... they are positioning troops for invasion. By the end of January.. all will be ready. We have so many friends and family members that are being deployed soon. So many have had orders changed or enlistments extended by their branch of service.
Prayers for peace are a priority. Prayers for the safe return of our service members are necessary. Also prayers for military families, active duty and reserves.. much needed.

I did not start this thread to be a debate... so please do not turn this thread into a debate regarding political viewpoints. We have to face the fact that this is where the US gov't is going. No I don't agree with it.. but I realize that our servicemen and women need our full support. Young men and women who joined the military for a variety of reasons are being asked to stand up and serve as they swore to do.
To all the diser's with Military connections. Stay strong, You are in our thoughts.

I've got a BIL in active reservist duty, since 9/11! My cousin serving in Alaska. Another cousin's Dson just graduated from Great Lakes Naval academy and, a dear friend who's been a Marine (recruitment poster Marine as well), to Pray for. God Bless them and all of their families!

One of my good friends is in the service and he was just shipped out on deployment on Monday. They were originally going to go to Hawaii, Austrailia, Japan, and North Korea along the way, but they are now going directly to Iraq. They are not even porting anywhere to fuel up - the fuel will be coming to them. He said it is crazy, and that they are definately going to be going to war...

We have a friend in the AF (F-16 pilot) and we didn't hear from him this Christmas. He always calls, so I'm wondering if something is going on...

MAMAJOAN, I would agree that ALL of our brave young people in the military deserve our support.
However, the WAR in IRAQ is not YET a reality.

I'm NOT offering a debate, but I would say that the BEST way to protect them from harm's way is for those Americans who DON'T support the Administration's headlong jump into conflict to express their views.

I am a member of several Marine boards and deployment is a hot topic. You can hear the sadness in the words of the Mothers/Wives of American's Finest. To each and every one of them I pray their loved ones return home soon. And to the service men/women who protect us so unselfishly, Godspeed.
