Military Disney Resort Hotel Package Basic Plan?

Hello disboards experts! This morning I made a room only reservation for December 2020 using the recently released 2020 military resort discount. When the reservation emails started rolling in I noticed that rather than say "Room Only", the package type is listed as "Military Disney Resort Hotel Package Basic Plan". Also, I was charged a $200 deposit rather than the value of one night's stay that I was expecting. Has there been a change in the room only booking process? Or did I get a bum castmember? To be honest, she talked a lot and in the end I was just desperate for a confirmation number.

Any advice before I call customer service again? Thanks in advance for your help!

My room only worked as you expected it to. I suggest calling. Better safe than sorry.

When I booked back in May my confirmation said Military Room Only. My deposit was equal to the 1st night stay. They may have changed the wording for next year's discounts, but I'd call and check on it for sure.

Mine was a few weeks ago when they released 2020 military rates

Ours changed as well. DW called to confirm we had room only, as it showed “military package,” when as recently as last month it would show “room only.” And we were asked to make a payment this time.

I’d call just to be sure.

I have a RO military discount for the end of Oct. It says " Military Room Only" on my reservation and the deposit was 1 night stay. Sounds like you have a package since they only charged you $200 deposit. I would call to get changed if it's not an error.

Thanks for the replies! I did call to correct it, which meant cancelling that reservation and re-booking as room only. Not sure where the miscommunication came from but it was easily resolved.
