Military Base on Long Island, NY for Tix

My brother (military) and I went to 2 bases on Long Island today in search of buying the Military tix for our upcoming trip with no luck...

Has anyone bought these tickets on LI or in one of the five boroughs?? If so, which military base had them?

I know we can buy them once we are there, we just thought we would save our Disney time and have them in our hand so we are ready to play!

I know that on our base DH has to order the tickets and then pick them up when they get in, usually no more than a wk or so to get them.

Our base (Andrews AFB) has to order them and they recommend ordering at least 2 weeks before you need the tickets. We just went to Shades of Green and got them and you don't pay sales tax there. Good Luck and have a great trip!

If these are Disney Armed Forces Salute 2009 tickets you may as well buy them at WDW as they must be activated at a WDW ticket window or Guest Relations Office to be able to be used. And the sales tax you would pay at the window on the Companion Tickets will probably be less than what it costs you to drive all over to find them at a base.

DH called his MWR at CG base in staten island they said they had it (which he didn't think they would b/c they are TINY), but I would also suggest calling Fort Hamilton in Brooklyn (it's big). You can always get it at Shades of Green when you get there vs at disney b/c it's tax free!
