Just wondering if there's hope of a Miles from Tomorrowland meet and greet coming to the parks (Tomorrowland, perhaps? :)) anytime soon. My 3 year old is already obsessed. He was obsessed just from the commercials! All the merchandise released last week on the premiere date, which gave me some hope that maybe they were planning to hype it in the parks as well. I am already thinking the TTA might see some more little ones lining up to ride, since it figures so prominently in the show. We go back at the end of April, and my little guy has already been asking if he gets to meet Miles. If anyone hears any news, please let me know!

I hope he ends up getting to meet him! They are really pushing tomorrowland right now. The new movie with George Clooney opens in May I think. Now if George wanted to come do a meet and greet Id stand in line for a few hours!

I came here to see if anyone asked this question. My daughter is obsessed with it. She's been sick (fever and bad cough) for two days now and we are trying to keep her calm and resting. So, that means she gets to watch a ton of TV and all she wants to watch is Miles From Tomorrowland! We are going to WDW in October. :)

Glad I am not the only one! I ordered the Miles plush online, and it got here Tuesday. My son hasn't put him down. Miles goes to dinner, the bathroom, bed, even sits on the counter while he gets a bath. LOL. Hopefully he becomes really popular and comes to the parks soon!

I don't know anything about anything, but I really really think we're going to see Miles at Hollywood & Vine sooner or later. I love Handy Manny, but he's been down to reruns on the Disney Jr channel for a long time now, and I can't help thinking that Disney would love a "fresh" (male) character to replace him.

Wish we could have a meet & greet with an interactive animatronic Merc!

Both my kids are obsessed with Miles from Tomorrowland!! We were in the Disney store the other day & they had some merchandise out...the kids went crazy over it! We go the end of April, beginning of May....hopefully there will be a meet & greet!!!

I saw this title and thought it was about how long something would take to get to tomorrowland from being a certain number of miles away.

But I take from it that it's a character named Miles lol. Never heard of him

We will be there at the same time! April 25th-May 1st. So excited!

That's probably because the show just barely started - like maybe a week ago.

We just got back from our local disneystore---- our kids (DD8 and DS4) are totally nuts over this show! Have to admit, it's very good, and the animation is excellent ! Bought our son the figurine playset and he carried it all the way around the mall ! The CM at the store said they can't keep the merch on the shelves--- (however, for whatever reason, it was hidden in the back of the store!). Not the best idea--- I am sure it will be changed soon---

I would expect that Disney would run with this, and I would expect a M & G, and an update to Disney Jr live within the next few months---

I don't know - it took a lot longer than a few months with Sofia the First.

True--- but I think there are a couple of things at play here--- the live-action "Tomorrowland" movie is scheduled to be released on May 22nd---- and looks like Disney is marketing "Miles" more towards boys - (although my DS loves "Sofia" , and both son and daughter love "Miles" )

Just seems like people are always pushing/hoping for a little more of a presence for the boys (given all of the princesses) --- also some rumors out there that "Miles" might replace Handy Manny at H & V character meal once they start a M & G

I didn't even think about the H&V thing but that's a great idea. Not that we don't love Manny (we do...we actually joke that he's my husband's twin...they look alike and can both fix anything!), but it would be great to have a new character and change it up a little. I am glad to read reports that other kiddos are loving Miles too. It is a really cute show. My natural thought was of course to have an M&G by TTA, but we would be excited to see him anywhere!

My 3 year old son loves the show too. Maybe by the time we get there in November he can't meet Miles! He loves Handy Manny too though. So he'd still love to meet him.

They are showing/repeating the 1st episode tonight on Dis Jr @ 6:30pm (est) and our lil ones getting ready to take their showers now !!!! ( gotta love these shows :)) --- they are counting down the hours!!

Yep--- I don't think Handy Manny is airing new episodes anymore.... Great show, but a little long in the tooth, so timing is very good for "Miles".

AFAIK, the last new episode of Manny was the Valentine's episode from like a couple of years ago, where Mrs. Portillo and Abuelito are now married, and Manny finally starts thinking about what a nice person Kelly is... The episode ends with Manny and Kelly drinking lemonade and making goo-goo eyes at each other; Mrs. Portillo-now-Garcia says, "It warms mi corazon - my heart - to see Manny and Kelly together like this," and Turner the Flathead Screwdriver looks into the camera with this little smile and cracks, "Took 'em long enough!" Perfect ending to the series!

Yep, he's the New Kid on the Dis Jr block. He has adventures exploring space and alien worlds with his Mom the Pilot, Dad the Engineer/Inventor, tween sis Loretta, and his best buddy/sidekick, Merc the lovable robot ostrich.
