Gosh, I love mothers-in-law! Just when you think your family of origin is utterly crackers, along comes your spouse's mother to make you realize how normal they really are.

I need to hug my MIL extra tight today. She's not a pain in the butt at all. She never criticizes anything I do, say or wear, thinks I'm very brave for taking on her son and admires the way I've trained him. And she never calls after 8pm or visits without calling. She'll talk your ear off and she's a little loopy at times but never a pain in the butt. I guess I got lucky.
