Sadly, there hasn't been a lot going on lately, so there isn't much to update on...

My birthday was on Monday, and it turned out to be a really awesome day! All of my family came over on Sunday night and we had cake and ice cream together, which I really enjoyed. My Dad gave me some money, as he always does, so that went right into the cruise fund! When I got to work on Monday morning, I had a couple things on my desk that I know everyone here will appreciate:

I think it's safe to say that my co-workers get my love of Disney!!

Mike got me a Garmin watch to use for my running:

AND, he took me to dinner at the Melting Pot. It's one of my favorite places, mainly for the chocolate of course, but we only go for special occasions! We really enjoyed the evening, and it was the perfect ending to a wonderful day!

This weekend, my great-niece is having her 3rd birthday party on Sunday afternoon, then we are headed over to Gayle & Allen's for a Labor Day cookout. I'm sure there will be a lot of cruise talk going on while we're there!

I know I keep saying that I'm going to get started packing, but I still haven't done it yet, and I really need to get with the program! I also have a feeling that I'm going to end up having to take Dustin #1 to get some clothes this weekend as he says he doesn't have enough to last him through the cruise! Uuggh!

Hopefully, I'll be able to update with the packing progress soon! I can't believe we leave a week from Saturday...And speaking of that reminds me that I still have to get the Minor Authorization form signed and notarized!! Yikes!

I hope I haven't lost all my readers!! I'm sad that I haven't had much to update on lately!

Tonight I'm meeting Dustin #1 to pick up a few more outfits for the cruise..turns out he doesn't have quite enough to make it through, so we're headed to Old Navy to see what we can find. I'm just glad that he agreed to actually go there since he's so picky about his clothes and will usually only wear Hollister. I've bought him a few things from there before, but told him it just isn't happening this time!!

I work today and tomorrow, then I'm off for the rest of the week and all of the next! I think I'm almost more excited about not having to work than I am about the cruise! Though I did find out over the weekend that we may be making a trip to NC on Thursday to see a cousin who was recently diagnosed with cancer. He's only been given about 3 months to live, so my Mom wants to try and go up to see him. I kind of dread it because I know it's going to be sad, but I do want to see him.

And believe it or not, we actually have about half of our packing done. We got started yesterday and were able to get a good bit done. We have everything we can fit in the garment bag and pretty much what's left is laid out on the bed ready to be put in the suitcase. I decided to pack a separate bag for our night at AKL to try and make things a little easier.

Speaking of our night at AKL, we have an ADR at 'Ohana for 6:45 that night, and Mike really had his hopes up to try and see Wishes from the beach. It never even occured to me that there won't be a Wishes that night due to Night of Joy. He was really bummed when we found out, bless his heart! Either way, we're still both excited about introducing the rest of the family to a little taste of Disney!!

Actually, I've not mentioned anything about breakfast, and that's because I'm not really sure what we're going to do as of yet. Since we're staying at Kidani, and they don't have any quick service breakfast options, then we may try Mara over at the Jambo House, or stop and get a quick bite somewhere on the way.

The reason I asked is because you're so close to Boma, and it really is an amazing spread! I think for the breakfast buffet it was $25.99 pp when we last went. So many delicious things I've never seen before. The pastries are just amazing! Not trying to be pushy or anything, it was just so wonderful I have to share the goodness!

That's a great idea that I never even thought of. It sounds really good, but I'm not sure everyone will be willing to spend that much on breakfast, so it's definitely something I'll keep in mind for future trips. Thanks for recommending it!

Yep, I totally agree the price is high, but definitely worth checking out sometime. Dinner is equally scrumptous! Have been contemplating the dining plan for upcoming trips so it doesn't seem so unreasonable. But I'm more leaning towards the Tables in Wonderland. Dreaming about Disney takes over my life
