Hey Mike!

You must love to cook!! :) I wish I could just hire a chef for a month or so - might help whip me in to shape!

Thanks for starting that recipe thread! What a great idea!

Hi Lillygator!

I do love to cook and hope that the thread takes off! I think we could all do well diet wise with a personal chef, isn't that how Oprah does it!? hehe! :goodvibes

Have a great night!

Mike - I know I'm not your mother, but I'm proud of you for heading up so many threads on WISH! I think one of the best things for me personally is to take some control - it helps me stayed focused! Woo hoo! :)

Lisa

Awww Thank you Lisa!! I greatly appreciate that!!
I definitely agree that control is important and for me structure really helps me when I try to make life changes like this. The accountability I get on here is excellent. :goodvibes

Have a great night!

Way to go Mike on the Iron Chef thread - looks like it's going to be a popular one!!!!! Glad the quiche turned out the second time for you - doing it as a taco thing sounds good!!!!! I have an upside down pizza loaf that I want to make this week but I don't think I'll get to it - will have to save it for next week. It's from an old WW recipe book and was about the only thing in it that I cared to try. It is very good. Kind of like your quiche except no eggs.

Keep on

Hi!

Just stopping by to wish you a happy, healthy day!!

Keep up the great work! :cheer2:

So, are you having another busy day getting the school ready for all those kids?

On the subject of you preparing meals for everyone, DH asked me the other day if we could afford to hire you. :teeth: Of course, that may have to wait until I get the college payments out of the way. :rolleyes1 But wouldn't that make a great show for the food network? Cooking My Way to Slim Across America. The cameras could follow you as you go from WISH house to WISH house, teaching us a few sure fire meals and helping to dejunk the pantries.

Ah, well anyway. Hope you have a great day! ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo

Hi Chris!!
Hope your pizza loaf turns out good next week!! Recipes are fun! But speaking of funny recipes, have you ever seen the "WW Recipe Cards Website"?? Oh my good! It is perhaps the funniest thing I have ever seen in my life. It is old WW recipe cards that someone found and posted pics of and then added commentary. I literally cry laughing when I see them. If you haven't, let me know & I will find the link for you!

Thanks Pearlieq!

I had a pretty good one so far though beyond busy! I have barely been at my computer all day!!
My iPod arrived so I have to get that set up tonight!! hehe!! And we had a BBQ for the summer staff today and I did well my first real public eating with this group. I avoided the rolls, chips, and cookies, and stuck with two cheeseburgers eaten between lettuce leaves with mustard. Very yummy!!! And I was not self conscious about it at all. After two of my co-workers realized they forgot to put out the sugar free popsicles so they passed them around the office. I resisted!! (art sweeteners can be a big trigger for carb cravings for me!)

Tomorrow is my old boss' last day!!! I am sad that she is leaving as a person, but as a worker in this dept I am thrilled! LOL

Hope you had a good one too! I am staying here at work late for a few to get caught up on all I missed in journals today!

Well on the subject of my "kids", I finally found beds for them all as of today!!!! Yay!!!! :goodvibes I am beyond excited!! It feels like a huge weight is lifted off my shoulders and now I can get on with the rest of the million things I need to do!!

Tell your DH I am not sure you could afford my services! lol jk I'd cook for free for ya!! That's an awesome TV show idea for the food network, especially if the "Season Finale" is a reunion of all the houses visited at WDW! hehehe! Where's Oprah's address again??? LOL

Have a good one all!

have a great night!

Just thought I would give a dinner report because I made up a quick dinner with some ingredients I had on hand and it was yummy!!! Decided I was not in an omelette mood so I made some sauteed cabbage (soooo yummy!!) and then I decided I did not want to have to cook any meat so I looked at what I had easily accessible... ham slices, swiss cheese block, cream cheese, dijon mustard... hmmmm... an idea developes!! I mixed together 2 T of cream cheese with an oz of shredded swiss, a tsp of Dijon mustard, some dill and pepper, the spread a light layer on each ham slice and rolled em up. Popped em in the fridge to firm up and then had them with the cabbage. Was sooo good!!! :goodvibes

Hope everyone had a nice dinner!!

Anyone else watch the Real World on MTV tonight??? Wow.... I am speechless and crying for Danny to have to go through this and on television... I think it is time for MTV to turn the cameras off of him!
(I won't go into too much detail here about what happened if people haven't seen it yet tonight.) But wow... sooo sad!!! :sad1:

I haven't Mike - I have some of the recipe cards from 2 or 3 years ago when I did WW - I would love the link!!!!! ROFL

Glad you found beds for all the kids - I did see notes that we have quite a few that will be housed up at the Student Center when they arrive - I guess as long as it's a bed and it's warm and comfy it'll do!!!!!

Good job on the cookout/picnic and the choices you made!!!! BRAVO

Keep on
