Hi mike I think I am a reality fan just like you. I did watch real world and that guy gets one thing after the other. He did get the girl though. But it seems the GIRL is a little to sassy for him. But yet we haven't seen him out on the drinking world very long. As for big brother I think my guy is going to get kicked out hey. He has no fight against her (I don't want to say any names). I really like him. Do you or am I getting sucked into the brain washing? I didn't like eric at all. To bossy. Well hope you done have a bad day. Good luck today.

I haven't Mike - I have some of the recipe cards from 2 or 3 years ago when I did WW - I would love the link!!!!! ROFL

Glad you found beds for all the kids - I did see notes that we have quite a few that will be housed up at the Student Center when they arrive - I guess as long as it's a bed and it's warm and comfy it'll do!!!!!

Good job on the cookout/picnic and the choices you made!!!! BRAVO

Hi Mike....I hear ya on the busy day! OMG it is crazy here. We just bought another company, so that makes it even worse!!!

BB was pretty good last night. I am interested to see who gets kicked off tomorrow night. I am not going to be able to watch it though My in-laws are celebrating their 36th wedding anniversary and we are going out to dinner. Not sure where though!

Has today been a bit slower for you?

I looked at the old WW recipe link. ICK! It is hard to imagine that someone would actually consider serving that stuff and to think, it was probably the height of fashion. Of course, we are taking the 70's, so that says it all.

Your ham rolls sound similar to what I do for party's. I soften cream cheese and add lots of fresh chives (dried will work, but fresh is better), mix it up, spread a thin layer on the ham, roll it up, and chill. They are so good. You could use onions, but the chives provide a better flavor and add color.

I definitely think Danny deserves better than Mel!! hehe! As for BB I share the same fear that Kaysar may be gone tonight. He and Janelle are my top faves, then Ivette so we'll see!! Eric was way too bossy. I actually think Maggie is coming into her own in the game without him. Guess we will find out Thursday!

Sounds like things are as wild for you as they are for me right now!! hehe!! Today has been actually more busy than yesterday and I don't forsee any calm days in the near future!! hehe!

Been having a pretty good day though! We took my soon to be ex boss out for lunch and I did well. I had an antipasto salad that came with provolone, pepperoni, salami, and half a hard boiled egg on it. So I was able to stay on plan while everyone else devoured loaves of italian bread and had french fries, and breaded chicken parm, etc... it was not easy but I survived intact! I would have just made that my RM and had some bread or even a baked potato but we are BBQ-ing tonight (my fellow Hall Directors and I) so I need to save my carby meal for dinner as usual. Besides eating my RM at the same time each night is great for craving control.

Thanks for your message! Who knows what they were thinking in the 70s! hehe Cool that you recognized the ham rollups. It is similar to a recipe I made for an appetizer spread this past Christmas that was cream cheese, chives, and crushed pineapple mixed then spread thin on flat tortillas, then a layer of ham, all rolled up and sliced into pinwheels with Honeymustard dipping sauce.

I just made some kick *** chicken kabobs to bring to the BBQ tonight! Spicy chicken chunks, green peppers and mushrooms. Yay! The HD coordinating the BBQ is soo sweet because she told me all about how she was making her famous potato salad for the BBQ earlier and then while shopping for the ingredients she called me and said "I am not sure you can eat the potato salad? Can you? What else can I make so you can have something??" I told her not to worry and that I could have some of her potato salad at dinner and that I appreciated her thinking about that for me. What a good friend!

Hope everyone has a great night! I am sooo behind on journals for the day, I hope to get to them after the BBQ! Thinking about everyone!

Anyone else watch the Real World on MTV tonight??? Wow.... I am speechless and crying for Danny to have to go through this and on television... I think it is time for MTV to turn the cameras off of him!
(I won't go into too much detail here about what happened if people haven't seen it yet tonight.) But wow... sooo sad!!!

My thoughts exactly! Turn the cameras off! It was really sad to watch. I've been watching this season fairly regularly since they filmed in Austin...many of my students had "Real World" encounters.

Good luck with the BBQ tonight...DH and I are going to throw some BBQ chicken strips on a salad w/ blackbeans, corn, and tortilla strips. Yummy!

Hi Jamie & Tracy!!! Thanks for your well wishes!!

It was indeed a wild day and tomorrow will be as wild, at least the first half will be! hehe So we'll see what happens! Interestingly, my new boss today just randomly asked me if I was "low carbing it" as we have had lunch out a few times this week so she has seen my lunches, and today when she headed to grab a quick lunch with my co-workers at the Dining Hall I think she might have asked someone why I don't eat at the dining hall. She was very interested and to make sure i knew she wasn't judging me she quickly added "because I am so frustrated with myself and always looking at what helps other people." So I told her how I have lost almost 40lbs this summer and she congratulated me & then added, "We will have to sit down together soon so you can give me some more of your program details, I am very interested." So that was cool!

I am relaxing tonight, watching Big Brother and then possibly a movie. As for dinner tonight I think it will be Taco Quiche! hehe. We are going out to lunch again (on the office's dime) tomorrow so I will not have the leftovers for lunch, but probably for dinner!

Hope that everyone is doing well!! I am going to try and see if I can catch up with everyone's journals now!

Good to hear that your new boss is an understanding people person. It sure does help when people are not ready to judge, but to learn. I think it is really great that you have co-workers who are so supportive of you that they are willing to do whatever they can to make the food events more comfortable and compatible for you. That is great!
