Mike is the Best

I would have been beyond fidgety if we were stuck on the safari for an hour. :scared1: Now I will be scared to go on the safari. I start to squirm when we are on the monorail and have to wait for the one in front of us to move, and that usually only takes 5 minutes.

Great pics. I'm enjoying the TR. I was reading it at work during the day but the pics were blocked. Couldn't wait to get home to see them. Sounds like you're having a great time (despite being stuck on the safari).

No need to be fidgety. Think of it as time to look over your spreadsheets and plot your next move! :rotfl2:

Looking at the spreadsheet and seeing how FAR BEHIND we are getting while we are STUCK would put me over the edge. I would jump out and run across the savanna so I could get on with my touring plan! :rotfl2:

Note to self: Wear sensible shoes on the safari in case I have to make a run for it. :rolleyes1

Good idea :thumbsup2

The only time I ever got stuck for an extended period of time was on the Grand Prix raceway. I must have been around 10? Talk about getting heatstroke!! I was so sick the rest of vacation! Oh well.

Your trip is sounding like a good time! Sorry to hear about Kouzzina.

I would imagine you were sick from the FUMES! I hate that ride. DS LOVES it, but we usually only ride once or twice a trip. The queue is one of those deceptive ones that can say 20 minutes and you stand there for 40. We haven't ever been stuck for an extended period on anything. DH LOVES when the continuous loading things stop (like Spaceship Earth & Haunted Mansion) because he can get better pics if we aren't moving.

Terror (no kidding, I was laughing when I pulled it out of the envelope)

The letter “K” (Which I will admit to now that I forgot to look for)

Here is the run down of the day:
We got into the park, got our locker, and high-tailed it over to Pixar Place for a Fast Pass to Midway Mania, as the stand by queue was over an hour already we decided to head down Sunset, making a quick stop inside the Great Movie Ride. There was no mistaking that the CM on our tram was “family” as his flame burned at about a 12. Which made the mobster that took over the tram seem so mellow and flat.

Next we headed down Sunset Blvd. Am I the only one that quotes lines from the movie or internally sings songs from the Lloyd Webber show????

We ate lunch at Rosie’s and watched the birds beg for our food. It didn’t help that Daniel kept handing them his fries. Could be a new song for Mary Poppins (or as we call her by her adult film title: Cherry Poppins)

“Feed the Birds….
Ten bucks a meal…
Ten bucks
Ten bucks
A meal…”

We rode Tower of Terror. In line there were a few, big, tough, inner city kids that were in line before us, and annoying the line with their volume and bravado. I had to roll my eyes as they got on the same car as us… But then I was laughing so loud as by the end of the ride one of them was latched onto my arm so hard and screaming. Even if he was kidding it was still funny.

The Hollywood Tower Hotel is another area that I love to take photos at:

Next we headed over to Rock N Roller Coaster only to find that the ride was down, so we got a fast pass to return later. Then it was off to the back lot area to see Star Tours, and Lights, Motors, Action (or as we call it L.M.A.E.S.S) .

Then we caught one of the preliminary rounds of American Idol, and since this was my first time watching it (I don’t watch the show on TV) I liked the set.

Then watched the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show ( love the laser and fog effect that makes it look like you are under water), we also then headed over to One Man’s Dream.

Then it was back down Sunset to ride Rock N Roller coaster,

and get another Fast Pass for Tower of Terror. It was back up to Hollywood Ave, as we had an ADR for Brown Derby. This was one of the last places in the park that I haven’t eaten yet (the other being Sci-Fi Dine In). I had the Cobb Salad and honestly I wasn’t that impressed. I have had better Cobbs at other places.

Then it was off to Fantasmic! (my favorite closing show), and even at an hour we were already close to filling up. There were so many gliches during the show. Two of the barges hit, and one of the monkeys nearly fell off. The same barges then took forever to cross the water during the Princess scene. John Smith didn’t swing and Mickey went to grab for the magic lamp that wasn’t out…. Doh.

After the show we had enough time to head back to Tower of Terror to use our Fast Pass.

Day Six: (Saturday: Drive Home)

Well it always has to arrive at some point….the day you have to leave. We packed up and checked out. We decided that we were going to ride at least one attraction before we headed home, and since we had the Fast Pass from when we got stuck on the Safari, we made Animal Kingdom out choice. Plus we head out the Western Way so it made sense.

But first was breakfast at Kona Café. I had the Tonga toast, of course 
Oh I forgot that got the Tables In Wonderland card on this trip and it was worth it as we made up the cost of the card in just a few days and then we were saving money.

After breakfast we were off to have a “Wild Day” over at Animal Kingdom.

We got in and headed to Dinosaur since there was about a 5 min wait. Brian and I decided on our funny pose and let me tell you we had the cheerleaders laughing so hard when they saw it:

After Dinosaur we headed to Everest and rode it for the last time on this trip. Then we headed to the Tree of Life to see a Bug’s Life.

Then it was a 6.5 hour trip home.
Well that is it for now, we’ll be back in Sept when we are staying at the Kilimanjaro Club (Concierge) at the Animal Kingdom Lodge before going on a 3 night cruise on the Wonder.
