Might not be able to do Amtrak...

Well, I was planning on me and the kids Amtraking to Florida for our trip next year. And I was really looking forward to it. But then I started thinking about it and I've run into a few problems. Now I am questioning whether we will be doing Amtrak. Maybe someone can help. The plan was for me & kids to arrive a few days early, rent a car from one of the places at the Amtrak station, and go visit relatives. DH was flying in on Saturday morning. Me and kids were going to go to the resort, drop our luggage, check in, go get DH from the airport and take him drop his luggage at the resort, return the car and then head to MK. My first problem I encountered was figuring out how to get from the resort back to the Amtrak station at the end of our vacation. Then I realized the car rental places I could choose from at the Amtrak station were not the ones I could return on Disney property. I don't want to give up on this whole adventure, but if I start throwing in taxi rides for 3 or 4, it's going to end up being cheaper for us to just fly. Any help??????

Is it feasible to just keep the car for the duration of the trip?

Probably the only real problem with that is that I will have a real fight trying to convince DH that we should get the dining plan when we can just as easily hop in the car and go to a regular restaurant.

Can you rent from Enterprise, they will pick you up. Maybe call and see if you can pick up from the one near the Amtrak and return to whichever one is closer to Disney.
