Below is an email I received from Midwest Airlines today.

To Our Customers, Shareholders and the Communities
We Serve:

The Board of Directors of Midwest Air Group (AMEX: MEH), parent company of Midwest Airlines, today announced it has unanimously rejected as inadequate AirTran Holdings, Inc.'s (NYSE: AAI) unsolicited exchange offer to acquire all outstanding shares of Midwest for $13.25 per Midwest share and strongly recommends that its shareholders not tender their shares at that price.

The board reached its conclusion after careful consideration, including a thorough review of the AirTran offer with its independent legal and financial advisors.

Complete details of the board's position, including related SEC filings, are available from the special page we've set up to share the latest information with our customers.

Thank you for your support of Midwest Airlines.

I flew them PIT/KC this week and really liked them. The back half of the plane was empty both ways. So I took a seat in the back and stretched out. We had the chocolate chip cookies on the way home and the FA asked if I wanted to take some home. I said yes and she gave me a whole bag!

Super airline!! I always try to fly them if I can, even driving the hour north to Milwaukee instead of the 10 minutes to O'Hare. And you were lucky, Debbie, usually always full, but most flights are the two by two, first class type seating, so not packed in like the legacies.

Anytime i have flown with them to/from Milwaukee the plane was full!

I love Midwest too, but they sort of have a monopoly on Milwaukee. We don't get the low pricing flights like Southwest, jetblue. But I guess I'd rather have the comfort of the seating and you just have to pay attention and watch for the deals.

I don't know if the day of the week makes a difference, but I flew out on Wednesday morning and flew back Thursday night. I found in general that flights are more full on Monday and Friday.

Im sure it does. I usually fly on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I did fly once on a Tuesday back from Orlando and that one was full too! It could also be that besides the one nonstop flight a day AirTran has to Orlando, Midwest is the only one offering nonstop service from Milwaukee to Orlando.
