I have a little about this airline. Are all there seats the equivalent of first class? It appears looking at their website, that it is very close. But the fares are like coach. How is the service? Does anyone know the width of their seats?

IMHO Midwest Express is the most awesome airline in the world! It is usually a little more expensive than the other airline that flys out of Milw. direct to Orlando, but I am more than willing to pay the difference. Yes, it is like the whole plane in 1st class. All is 2 across wide leather seating (not sure of dimensions). The most outstanding thing is the food. Champagne with breakfast and wine with lunch & dinner (red or white) all no additional charge. Chocolate chip cookies baked on the airplane with lunch. Meals are served on china with linen napkins and real silverware (no plastic here). Dinners have included shrimp, lobster, filet mignon, etc. I guess I can't say enough about the meals! Service has always been fabulous. Seating is assigned when you book. Stewards/stewardesses and pilots are very friendly and helpful. It is a shame all airlines can't be like this one. They have received numerous awards from Conde Nast Traveler and Zagat. Hope this helps. Any more questions, please ask!

Midwest Express is the BEST! Yes, their seats are 2 across on each side, leather, very much like first class (not that I've ever flown first class :p ) The seats are definitely wider than regular coach but I'm not sure of the exact measurement. The service is excellent, they are usually on-time in my experience, the food is good, you get wine (or champagne if a morning flight) and they bake chocolate chip cookies on the plane. :D

I did read something on this board that they are doing very poorly financially so who knows how long they can keep up this superior service with competitive pricing. I'd be very sorry to lose this wonderful airline!

I can't wait to try them, after reading some incredibly positive articles, with the features mentioned above (seat width and comfort, service, food). I'd go for it!

I'll also chime in. I wish Midwest Express flew everywhere I go! I LOVE them. It is totally worth it to even pay a small premium to fly them.

Be sure to let them know if you're traveling with kids. They have special meals for them. (Like blueberry pancakes for breakfast, while mom & dad are enjoying thier omelet. ;-))

Midwest is the best!!!

My family has flown with Midwest for the past 5 years -- nothing will beat the service. The flight attendants are always pleasant, the food is awesome (especially those cc cookies!).

We have a Midwest Express Mastercard, & earn frequent flyer points toward free mileage. We're going to Disney in September on 3 frequent flyer tickets.

Huge thumbs up for this board -- I've already saved a lot of $ browsing the threads! Thanks to all.

Thank you for all the replies!!! I am seriously considering flying into MKE for our December trip. We always fly NWA non-stop. By one stop might be worth it, considering the great reviews and added benefits. Actually as of today, the cost to fly NWA to MKE and Midwest Express to MCO is only $25 per ticket more for rt (as compared to NWA from MSP to MCO rt, non-stop). I think that we are going to give them a try!!!

Thanks again for all the information.

Having both a brother and sisiter-in law both pilots for MIdwest is sure was nice to read all the
good things people have to say about the airlines (and the best part is all of it is TRUE!!):)
Thanks everyone

I used to work for them here in pit. they bend over backwards for their passengers. and are pretty decent to their employees as well. they are truly a first class airline all the way. they really have great food too. in fact they even bake cookies right ont he plane int eh galley. you can smell them too......
