Midnight Dessert Buffet

They list the midnight dessert buffet in the Navigator, so they rely on the servers to tell you about it. We missed it, we were at another activity and forgot about it.

I will be going on the 7 night Western cruise...

Is the buffet only ONE night, or is it every night???

Where is the buffet located?

Thanks.............

We found that the buffet does not last until 12:15....we were at the 11:00 pm show in Rockin Bar D and thought we would hit the buffet at 12:00 when we got out of the show.....went to Lumiere's and the doors were shut tight already!!!

I personally do not find the desserts to be all that wonderful on the ship...some are winners like the creme brulee and chocolate lava cake....but others like their napoleans are just so so...I often find the cakes to be dry.

Okay, I have my Thursday's Navigator from last week's cruise right in front of me. In very tiny teeny weeny letters under Other Dining Options it says:
Gala Dessert Buffet 11:15 - 12:15 Lumiere's

We discovered it on our last cruise after the fact - heard someone talking about it. I had just assumed that the Dining part of the Navigator was the same every day (hours, dress code, etc.) but they sneak other stuff in! ;) I also discovered on this cruise that there was a Mexicali Buffet on deck 9 from 10:45 to 11:30 during the Mexicalifragilisticexpialidocius deck party (which is in big letters on the front page of the Navigator but does not mention the buffet. That is in teeny weeny letters under Other Dining Options!):teeth:

So it pays to read 'everything' in the Navigators - use a magnifying glass.:magnify:

3 cruises and I have yet to experience the Dessert Buffet! It IS a little late for us. But by golly, in Aug I will do my best to
1. find it in the Navigator
2. remember what time it is and where
3. not overeat at dinner
4. TRY to stay up
5. TRY HARDER to stay up
6. and maybe actually make it to the buffet!

Sandygirl -
Take your camera. Since we had just finished dinner an hour before I could take only pictures, leave only footprints!;)

:scratchin
Hmmm
1) Read the Navigators v-e-r-r-r-r-y carefully
2) Note the time and place of all Other Dining Options especially buffets
3) Take nap and set alarm clock to be sure not to miss buffet
4) Save room for desserts
5) Wear alarm set to buffet time to remind self
6) Oh this is getting too hard-Just camp out in front of buffet area for the evening, that way guests will have to step over me there by waking me up!
Ummm desserts. Umm desserts

How could all of you people missed the buffets? And the one too, at the Mexicalifragilistic party!

I've done only two cruises, and I knew each day and what time foods were going to be served! You guys must not be paying attention!

Okay..this is, uh, meant to be humorous:tongue:

I mean, is knowing about all the food buffets something to be proud of? (It takes me six months to lose the weight after disembarking!)

I know what you mean ....last year I gave 8 lbs on the Magic. This year I was much better and only gained 1.75 pounds!
I would have had that Chocolate lava cake every night but I was too full!
