I am in the process of booking our flights on SW for our Aug cruise

and Im alittle confused:confused3

when you fill in passengers names it asks for
middle name

but it says that the info has to match your id (drivers license)

which I had to check and ours just has middle intial

so my ? is since the form asks for middle name yet the ID is middle intial

which do I use

or does that relly make a difference

I hope someone can answer in hurry--Im antsy to get my flights booked!!!!

thanks all

I just used my middle initial flying on USAir since it is what on my DL. Had no problems. If I was going to use my passport as id I would use my full middle name since that is how the passport is worded

I always use whatever the ID (D/L) says. For some of us, that's using our middle names. For my grown kids, some of theirs are middle initials.

If your D/L is just your middle initial, use that.

for the fast replies

now I can finish the booking and get the great $99 fares

57 days to go!!!!

Just FYI for future reference, when you create your Rapid Rewards account your full middle name will be requested, and for future purchases the system will fill it in automatically if you are logged into your account when you purchase the ticket (which I would suggest, because that links the transaction to your account, which makes it easier to pull up with the smartphone app, etc.)

SWA also will record your birth date on your account and once one of their agents "verifies" that birthdate from a legal document at the airport and records the verification, you will no longer need to present proof of age to fly on age-restricted fares. This is handy with senior fares.
