Mid October

Last year we went 10/16-10/23. It only rained once, on Friday afternoon, and only for one hour. The mornings were very nice, but the afternoons got hot and humid. It was about 87 every day in the afternoons. The parks were dead in the mornings and busy in the afternoons. We were at the park each day at opening and we left every afternoon around 2 or 3 to go back to the hotel and go swimming. It worked perfectly for us. FastPass was awesome. We have a small child that goes to bed early, so I can't tell you how the parks were at night. Also, we only did the parks on weekdays, not weekends. I'd heard they were packed on weekends but those were our travel days so we can't say.

We had a great time and we're planning on doing October again this year.
:)

We are planning an October trip as well and I would like to know some more opinions on weather and crowds. Also if MNSSHP is as wonderful as it sounds and do the kids have to bring there own bags for trick or treating or are they provided with some at MK?
Thanks in advance.

We went for our first time in October last year. The first few days was HOT and HUMID, but the crowds were definatley manageable. Then Wilma hit and a cold front came through and it was actually on the chilly side for our last 6 days.

October is a beautiful time to go, but since we are from the far North, the heat and humidity were hard on us so we probably would not go again.

MNNSHP was great! We loved it. My son got som much candy and our main priority was not even trick or treating.

They supply you with the treat bags and the parade and fireworks are awesome.

We usually visit WDW in October and the weather is beautiful. I would say the average temperature is around 80 degrees. In all of our visits we've never experienced rain for an extended period of time, I guess we've been lucky. The crowds are reasonable. I think the longest we've waited for any ride is 15 minutes. I highly recommend October.

We went 10-15 through 10-22 and had a great weak. We actually went to Magic Kingdom the first Saturday for dinner at LTT and to watch wishes and specto. The second show was empty (we watched from Liberty Square). It was a great way to start the trip and Saturday evening at MK was not too bad. The weather was nice (we had the one rain shower on Firday) right as we got to our car and it was over buy the time we got back to our room. MNSSHP was a bonus to this time. I would like to go back around this time!

It's my understanding that it was busier than usual last year due to "free" dining offer.

We'll be there the week of Oct. 8th (Columbus Day), do you think it will be crowded due to the holiday?
