What a great view! I don't know how I missed your trippie until now. Look forward to hearing more from my fellow Alabama DVCers.

ahhhhh, i miss that view so much it hurts :lovestruc (we get x029 or x031 at least twice a year ~ very tempting to see if you can actually get one in the "net", isn't it? ;)). if this is your first BW view, try getting up very early one morning, & watch the sun come up (it's an amazing transformation from a silent black & white world, to a stunning one that takes hold of almost all of your senses). then make sure to sit on the balcony (preferably with a glass of wine & a loved one) during illuminations.....pure heaven :cloud9:

loving the TR :thumbsup2 (& thanks for the tip about bob jackson ~ do you know if he is always there fri & sat nights?)

hope you had wonderful bday!! :bday:

Wow, those are some great views you have from your room. My brother so wants to stay at boardwalk to get those views. I don't think we'd be able to get him out of the room, though, he'd just want to sit on the balcony the whole trip.

Hey y'all.

I'm try to catch up on my trip report. The boards being down plus a fun filled vacation has gotten me behind on my trippie!

We are up to Saturday night.

We had a 6:30 ADR at LTT. We were almost late because we waited 20 minutes for the MK bus, but then had to stop at Swan & Dolphin too. We were fashionably late (6:35) for LTT. (We did see the prev. bus drive away though.)

OK, here is the food porn we promised.

The salad was really good. The entree was so so. Dh said the fresh fruit, and I thought the apple pie was good. Nothing was outrageously good, but very good overall. I told the server that although the meal was very good, I did miss seeing Minnie, Goofy, & CHIP&Dale.

We stayed for Spectro and Wishes.

Wishes and Spectro was amazing as usual!

Later, we toured Liberty Square and Adventureland. Our 1st stop was at the Haunted Mansion. I really hoped that a cast member would ask about the birthday. After the ride, DH and I were stopped outside. A CM sneaked up behind me, scaring the devil out of me. He then said something about the bday, and then said good, one year closer to the hearse. He also said that he could make it so that I could stay young forever. Not thinking, I asked if he was a vampire. Hmmm. He was kind of cute.

We also did Aladdin and Pirates and called it a night. We had ressies at Spoodles the next (Sunday) morning.

Overall, Saturday was a fun day. AK was pretty crowded, but touring MK was pretty manageable after Spectro and Wishes.

Great castle pictures and mmmmmmmmmm food!! :thumbsup2 The weather looks wonderful and it looks as if you are having a great time. Awesome view from your room! Thinking about the great time you are having while I am here at work! :sad2: Only 195 more days for me!!:rotfl:

Thanks for the review and photos! Boardwalk View looks wonderful!! We booked a BW view studio for one night in May. Can't wait!! Sounds like you are having a wonderful Birthday!! Enjoy!!

Great pics, great report, looks like a GREAT TIME!!

What camera do you use for the pics?

Have a MAGICAL DAY!

I am so happy you guys are enjoying the trippie. I'm up to three pages!! You guys are absolutely wonderful!! Yippee!!

I love doing a live trippie because, 1) I enjoy the great feedback, 2) I have a journal that I can remember my trip by, and 3) I don't have a whole week to journal when I get home!!

We have a A95Canon SureShot

I'll try to take pictures of the studio. Its in good shape. Our sink is a little slow. We thought we would tell them tomorrow since we will be out and also have trash and towel.

We are enjoying DVC more and more. It is so wonderful to take it easy and just enjoy yourself. For instance, I missed Everest because the FP return was close to our LTT ADR. No big deal. We'll catch it next time. We are really enjoying the parks and resorts at our own pace. We are also becoming more adventurous with CS food. I think another Disney website has been very helpful with that.

Next stop Epcot and Hollywood Studios.

Sunday: March 22nd

We started the day off by going to Spoodles for breakfast. We forgot to take pictures. We got the All American Breakfast. The potatoes were amazing.

We then ventured off to Epcot. Here are some good F&G pictures.

Dh insisted that we get this picture. :thumbsup2

Epcot didn't seem very crowded at all.

At lunch time, the stand-by wait for Soarin' was 45 minutes. We rode SE, Nemo, Mission Space, Test Track and Soarin.

We also ate at Chefs de France for lunch. We forgot to take pictures again. It was very good. Dh was disappointed. He insisted that we make this ADR because he read that an AA Remy from Ratatouille was visiting tables. Our waiter was named Remy, but he wasn't a rat. Dh had the Crepe Basquaise (Crepe with grilled chicken, peppers & tomato sauce. I had the Quiche Lorraine. We liked both dishes.

We went back to the resort for a short while before going to DHS for a 6:30 ADR at Mama Melrose, and we took pictures too!

We shared a Caesar Salad (no picture). Dh got the pork tenderloin. He really liked it.

I was in a high maintenance mood. I would make Meg Ryan's character in Harry Met Sally proud. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan, but I didn't want the spaghetti and I didn't want the tomato sauce. I asked for the Chicken Parmesan with the Penne Noodles from another dish, and the four cheese sauce from yet another dish.
It came out with Spaghetti, which was fine!!
2009WDWTrip192.jpg

Our really great waitress, Holly? from Pittsburgh PA, noticed immediately that I had spaghetti. It actually looked a little thicker than Spaghetti. I said it was fine, since I was fine with anything other than Spaghetti. She said, "That is the spaghetti." Before I could stop her...she said you are getting a new plate and was gone. DH immediately took my Chicken Parmesan and put it on his own plate.
Before I knew it, she was back with a new plate with Penne instead of Spaghetti.

It was pretty good although the sauce tasted a little like the sauce you get in a frozen pasta dish.

We then had dessert.

DH had the no sugar added dessert.

I had the cheesecake thingie. OMG!

We then went to Fantasmic!
Here is a picture.

Wow! We are now through with Sunday. I will post Today (Monday) soon. It was so wonderful. You'll have to wait, but the day started off in a very magical way. You'll have to wait. There is also a mystery afoot. I don't what it is yet, but I'll let you know what I know. This is such a fantastic trip!!

This is SOOO much fun to read and your pictures are AWESOME!!!! Happy Birthday!party:

Enjoying the trip report! We're right around 6 weeks from our trip so it's getting me ready - thanks for posting all the pics!

You bet we are enjoying it! Isn't it nice that we can say, we'll catch it next time.

Enjoy!

It's Tuesday morning - you're not up yet? lol - just kidding.

I need to wait now til late this afternoon to find out about your magical start and whatever is "mystery". Not nice.

:)

Til later.

Ok, ok, I'm up.

Today is the big day. Should I admit it? Yes, I'm 40 years old. :scared1:

My day hasn't really started, but I woke up and felt 150 years old. That is the downside to going to Disney on your 40th birthday, or at least to going to Disney 4 or 5 days before your 40th birthday. :confused3

I tried to take it pretty easy yesterday in anticipation of today. I've been up for 1/2 hour now, and feel much better, and less like an antique.

Enough with the sour apples...Let's Dance!!
:dance3::dance3::dance3:
