Mickey's Very Merry Vacationers Land/Sea! We Are Home (TR LINK)

Wow!! You are getting SO close to your vacation! I know that I am really excited and anxious to see how you like it! I can not wait to go to WDW during Christmas!

Love the videos. Great sneek peak...thanks for sharing:cloud9:

I think we'll LOVE IT!! Can't wait!:santa:

Okay, so I have really enjoyed reading some PTRs in which they did a "this time next week we will be doing ________." Well, since we will be there 10 nights and on Florida soil for 11 days I will not get the whole trip in if I do just a week ahead. Also, the week before will be a bit crazy. My class is having a science fair that week. So, I've decided to do: THIS TIME NEXT MONTH!!!!!!!! Today is officially 30 days. Since there are exactly 30 days in November it is also 30 days!:yay:

Here we go!:santa::santa::santa::santa::santa::santa::santa::santa::santa:

This time next month we will be packed and ready to go to WDW!! However, since our flight is not until late afternoon I will be sending precious Hope to school for a half day. DH will be working for a half day. Since Faith has afternoon kindergarten she lucks out and does not have to go to school this day. I have not decided but I think I may get a sub for my afternoon on this day. My co-teacher does owe me an extra day so maybe she will cover me. I had planned on just swapping and teaching mornings but I think things will go smoother if I'm available to make sure everything is taken care of on the home front. We will pick Hope up from school at lunch time and be on our way to DIA!

DisneyWorld2008183-1.jpg

This will be our first time flying Southwest to Orlando. We flew Southwest to CA in May and we very happy with the service.
DisneyWorld2008187.jpg

We will not land in Orlando until about 9:40 Eastern time. We've never arrived this late but I do not feel cheated at all because we originally we planning on flying in the next morning. Now we will be rested and ready to hit the parks on Saturday instead of spending the whole day traveling. (Not to mention an extra day of free dining credits!)

We plan to pick up our luggage ourselves even though we may get there in time for ME to cart it. We don't want them waking us in the middle of the night to deliver. After getting our luggage we will be on our way to Pop Century via ME!
DisneyWorld2008192.jpg

We hope to stay in the same 50's building we were in last time overlooking the lake. We enjoyed that section.
DisneyWorld2008198.jpg

As it will be late we plan to unpack as much as we can, and head off to bed. I don't expect us to get to sleep before midnight Orlando time.

Disney makes amazing videos don't they? I love their new holiday commercial. Faith and I watched it and she said, "wow Mom are we going to do that". I thought she was referring to all the Christmas things they were showing so I said yes. Then I realized she thought we were going to fly through the air on the Disney boat with pixie dust.:goodvibes She was a little upset when I explained our Disney boat would stay on the water. She replied, "they're 'sposed' to have to show you what you can really do".:cloud9: Here's the link if you haven't seen it: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2009/11/disney-parks-unveils-‘its-a-small-world’-holiday-spot/

Also, we came across this Exlusive Preview of MVMCP. Amazing and now we are so super excited! DD9 still believes in fairies and after watching this video she can not figure out how the castle doesn't fly away if it is sprinkled with glowing pixie dust.

Thanks for sharing that video. :goodvibesI have not seen that one yet! I have only seen the new ones with the Pirates of Carribbean in the basement.

The last few times we always arrive later in the evening and I like doing that too, as your first official day there you are all rested from travelling.

I was researching Disney Cruise Line and found out that Sailor Mickey will be a new balloon this year at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade! They are selling a plush Sailor Mickey that says phrases like "Merry Christmas" and "Ahoy Matey!", etc. He also comes with a compass clock and 2009 embroidered on his food. Only $15~! How great would that be for the girls? I bought two for my kids for a future Cruise!

Too cool! I'm off to check it out. Thanks:goodvibes

Hmmm, haven't seen the ones with POC in the basement. :goodvibes

This time next month we will be waking up in Orlando for our first full day in WDW! We have very late breakfast reservations at Chef Mickeys. The girls have really been asking to dine here. Our very first trip to WDW (2 years ago) Chef Mickeys was the first restaurant we dined at. I wasn’t impressed with the dinner buffet so I didn’t book it last year. Well, it was greatly missed by everyone else so this time we’re trying breakfast. I did enjoy the atmosphere. It’s a great way to start off the trip.
IMG_0608.jpg

After breakfast at Chef Mickeys we will take the monorail to Epcot. We plan to hit attractions mostly in Future World this day.
image111.jpg

Test Track is a family favorite!! Can’t wait.
image119.jpg

We then have early dinner reservations at Teppan Edo. We have never dined here and the girls are looking forward to eating at “the place where they cook in front of your face.”

If time after dinner we may explore World Showcase a little. Maybe listen to a storyteller, catch the candy making lady, or even play the Kim Possible game. Hopefully DH can find a restroom this time. (joking):rolleyes1
DisneyWorld2008403.jpg

Then we will head out the International Gateway (which we have never done). I’d like to check out the Beach Club and Boardwalk Resorts decorated for the holidays. After looking at the resorts we will either walk or catch a boat to Hollywood Studios for the after hours DAP party!!
DisneyWorld2008069.jpg

It is quite late but I’m hoping that since we are used to Mountain Time it won’t be as bad. DH really wants to ride TSM over and over and over. I love the idea of going to an after hours party in Disney World!! Should be fun.

Finally, after a long and hopefully very fun day we will head back to Pop for the night!:faint:
DisneyWorld2008127-2.jpg

Totally New Experiences for day 1: Chef Mickeys for breakfast, Epcot during the holidays (by the way I am super upset they are not doing the Lights of Wonder this year), walking out International Gateway and visiting Boardwalk, Beach Club Resorts, after hours party in WDW!!:woohoo::disrocks:

What is a DAP Party??:confused3

Your plans look great! We are wanting to try out the international gateway to the boardwalk as well!

This time next month we will be sleeping in after a late night at HS. Feels a little strange to do all our sleeping in at the beginning of the trip but its what works best this time around. We will need to get all our sleep today because it's MVMCP day!

After everyone is sufficiently rested we will stop for a quick lunch at Pop.
DisneyWorld2008200.jpg

We then will board a bus to AK! We're just doing a short stop by to check out AK during the holidays.
image061.jpg

We plan to meet the characters in their festive outfits, watch the Jingle Jungle parade, and definitely do the safari!
DisneyWorld2008320.jpg

As soon as the parade is over we will hop on a bus to MK for MVMCP!:santa:
We've never been, but we have been to MNSSHP and had a blast!!:woohoo:

Can't wait for another magical evening!

This time next month we will be waking up our third morning in WDW. What amazes me is that even though we didn't purchase hoppers we essentially will have hopped the last two days. By the third morning we will have already been in all four parks. I just realized that! Day 1 was EP, HS; Day 2 was AK, MK. Well, that's a first for us for sure! We've never hit all four parks in 48 hours before.

This morning once again we will continue our new theme of SLEEPING IN.:scared1: If all goes well we will have stayed at MVMCP until the weeee hours of the night.

Today we have an early lunch reservation at Coral Reef. We love this restaurant. It is DHs favorite for sure. Last year I surprised Faith with a diver and it is an all time precious memory she talks about often. We have a reservation right when they open so I'm hoping for table near the window.:thumbsup2
DisneyWorld2008268.jpg

Hopefully we can get our sleepy heads up early enough to grab a fastpass before early lunch. After lunch Epcot is ours for the rest of the day! We will hit the attractions missed on Day 1, watch some Santa storytellers, find some characters, whatever we choose.
DisneyWorld2008433.jpg

I did purchase Ridemax for our upcoming trip. I think I may actually bring the laptop so we can enter in the attractions we didn't get in on Day 1. I'm excited to try it out.

We then have dinner reservations at Akershus. I wasn't planning on doing this restaurant again but found that the girls kept talking about it. So, who can deny their daughters a dinner with princesses?
BelleAkershus.jpg

After our early dinner we may try to see the 2nd showing of the Candelight Processional. I've decided not to stand in line for hours. We may get in line within the last 30 minutes and see if we get in.

I am the only one who has experienced Illuminations so I hope the family can hold out to see Illuminations this year. Love the fact that there is a holiday ending this time of year too, that will be new to me.;)
DisneyWorld2008092.jpg

Looking forward to a wonderful day with two great table service restaurants and some new firsts at Epcot.:woohoo:

How fun!! I'm loving your "This Time Next Month" posts!! I can't believe how fast your trip is approaching!! I know you must be getting excited!!!

Getting so close now!:goodvibes

I can't wait to hear all about your family's new adventures at WDW & at sea! Enjoy your final countdown to the big day!!!:)

Yes, we're getting super excited around here. Today there is almost a foot of slow on the ground. It's really starting to feel like Christmas.:santa:

Are you kidding?!! Snow already?? Geesh, I am in Canada but I am still shocked to hear that!

Even more reasons to get excited for your trip!;) Orlando has been having very warm temperatures lately...hopefully it will stay warm for your visit!:goodvibes

Well DH and I spent a couple hours Christmas shopping online today.:santa: And guess what, we're done! We had originally thought it might be fun to do all our Christmas shopping in WDW. We came to our senses when we thought about hauling it all home and the prices in WDW. Anyway Disney Store was having 20% off plus $5 shipping. We decided to go ahead and buy everyone's souvenirs/Christmas presents from there.:rotfl2: We got some great deals. We also bought some more gifts for the girls and ourselves. Can't wait! We saved over $100 between the 20% and $5 shipping. So, we will wrap it all up before leaving on the trip and will be ready for Christmas when we return.:yay: Of course, Santa still has his work cut out for him.;)

Alrighty, This time next month!!:santa::santa::santa::santa::santa::santa:

We will have breakfast at Ohana. We really loved the atmosphere when we had dinner there last year. We weren't however fans of the big chunks of meat thrown on our plates. We are looking forward to a yummy breakfast, fun atmosphere, and bonus: characters.:flower1:
DisneyWorld2008131.jpg

After Ohana we will take a bus to Hollywood Studios.
image174.jpg

Our only musts for this day are High School Musical and Osbourne Lights. I'm sure we'll see much more but we look forward to a go with the flow relaxing kind of day.

YAY!!! I also shopped online with the 20% off and the $5 shipping--you are right about the GREAT deals!!! :thumbsup2

I checked my emails this morning and saw they are offering 30% off and free shipping today. Although it looks like the 30% off is just on "deal of the day" merchandise so I think we still came out ahead.:goodvibes

This time next month we will be in the Magic Kingdom.:cloud9:
DisneyWorld2008118.jpg

I'm a little worried because touringplans has now posted this day at a crowd level 8.:scared: When I saw that I briefly considered changing our HS and MK days (foregoing Wishes, Spectro). However, it's pretty much impossible at this point. We have BBB and 1900 Park Fare reservations for this day. So, I'm just hoping that it is not as bad as it sounds. If the crowds get bad toward the end of the day we will just head out and maybe watch Wishes from the Poly beach.

We haven't done BBB since our first visit in 2007. The girls are both looking forward to it. As am I.:goodvibes

House110-1.jpg

We will have dinner at 1900 Park Fare. This is also something we missed last year. In fact, our digital camera died before our dinner here two years ago so we have no digital photos of our time there. We had a great time and are looking forward to dining with Cinderella and her mean step sisters again.:goodvibes

After dinner we will decide if we want to go back to MK and wade through the crowds for Wishes and Spectro or go back to the hotel. Or perhaps we will go to Poly beach to watch the fireworks. :confused3That's one thing I love about going every year. You don't feel like you have to get it all done. We will have experienced Holiday Wishes at MVMCP earlier that week. Although we really do love MK after dark!
DisneyWorld2008363.jpg

We will need to head back and be fully packed because tomorrow we're heading to the "big Disney boat"!pirate:
