Mickey's Very Merry Vacationers Land/Sea! We Are Home (TR LINK)

Just catching up... love the dress too!:thumbsup2

I love your countdown calendar also, but do you take each day off? It's too pretty to ruin. We did the countdown chain last time and the kids want me to do one again.

You are so right about Disney. After spending so much what is another couple of more dollars:lmao: We already added on two more days to our trip!

We add a disney sticker each day to cover the number. I'll post another picture after a couple weeks.

I know well, originally this trip was only a 4 day cruise with maybe 1 extra night in the world for MVMCP. Obviously, it just keeps expanding as now it is a 10 night land/sea!

That video you posted is awesome. I was thinking of changing our trip to be earlier but I think I may just leave it where it is so we can see all the Christmas things as it is our favorite time of year. We LOVE Christmas in our house.

It really does!! We will DEFINITELY have to go one year at Christmastime! I've already told Brent and he agrees!!

Good chioce!:thumbsup2

It's hard to wait isn't it.:sad2:

Alright, here are my more final plans. (Although you never know, things are always changing with me.) Since we arrive late in the evening I will not call arrival day DAY 1. It's more like night 1. Our plane should arrive around 9:40p.m. We do have to pick up our own luggage. I'm hoping we make it to Pop Century via ME no later than 11p.m. (hopefully earlier) We will quickly change, unpack and get to bed.

So, that's our first full day in the parks. By the end of the we will have explored four disney resorts, two table service restaurants, and two theme parks! I'd love to know if you have any suggestions or ideas.:thumbsup2

Your new plans look great! Loved MVMCP last year!!!:santa: It's so much fun and magical, I hope you love it as much as we did!!!

Teppan Edo! LOVED it this past trip, we had a great meal there and think the girls will love it, too, it's more than a meal, it's an experience with the show and all! And the food is yummy!!!!

You're on countdown.....I can't wait to hear more!!!:goodvibes

Wow, great news. Yep, Disney does know how to reel us in for more mooolahhh. But that's ok. When the kids are older and we look back on all these fun memories, the money won't matter.:)
I almost had to drag my kids out of the dance party in cosmic ray's last year at MVMCP. The DJ there was wonderful, showing them all the dance moves in slow mo then putting them together for the song. :santa:
Cool movie from Fort Wilderness. That's one thing I tried to fit in last year, one of the horse and buggy rides thru the campsites, but didn't get to. I heard they had decorations but from your movie they are more elaborant than I imagined.:cool1: Sounds like your last day there will be much more relaxed this way.

I'm glad we finally decided to go. We had a very magical time at MNSSHP and if it's anything like that it will be fabulous.;)

That's right, the memories are worth the little extra $$.

I saw your DD's dresses at Kohls yesterday :) It made me think of you!!!!

You will love Teppan Edo! If you have been to hibachi grills before it's very similar with a disney twist!

Too bad we can't fit in everything right? I listen the the DISunplugged podcast. They anounced it probably 6 weeks ago.

Okay, I think I've finally hammered out final plans for Day 2 in the parks.:cool1:

This one was more difficult as it is the day we will attend MVMCP now. We had planned on spending about 1/2 day at MK then to spend the evening at Ft. Wilderness on this day. I have early dinner res. for Wilderness Lodge but I may be canceling them and rescheduling as I can't quite fit it in just right.

DAY 2

Sleep in as we will probably not get to bed until about 1 a.m. the night before after DAP. (This is one advantage of being on Mountain Time schedule.) Get up when fully rested and if like, weather permitting spend some time at the pool. Eat brunch at resort. Then, probably around noon or so head to AK.:dogdance: This is totally new to the itinerary. Before we had decided that this year we would not do AK. We don't pay extra for hoppers as we don't enjoy hopping from park to park. However, now that we are paying for MVMCP we have the ability to essentially hop on this day. The only things we plan to do at AK are greet the characters in their Christmas outfits at Camp Minnie Mickey, ride Kali (as long as it's not too cold), do the Safari, and watch the Jingle Jungle Parade.

I know just where to watch the parade from at 3:45 so that we can turn and head out of the park right after the parade. We will head straight to MK for MVMCP!! We should arrive early enough to get in a few good rides before the party actually begins.

So, not only did we get the bonus of MVMCP but we also got the bonus of seeing AK during Christmas time. I just hope we stay rested enough to PARTY to the fullest at MVMCP. I can't wait to start reading reports of others who start attending MVMCP in November. Hopefully I will have a plan for exactly what we want to do at the party.

make sure you check out Camp Minnie Mickey when you are there. All the characters are dressed in holiday wear and it's the only place in the park besides the entrance where they play Xmas music. It was a joy working there last season and being at CMM and listening to the Xmas music and then we would bump to another kids club and it was the same music as it always is! You will love the big xmas tree out front! Imagine how bare it is when it's gone :(

That day sounds like fun! As long as ya'll rest enough that morning, I think you will be fine for the party that night

I have a question...do you get really wet on Kahli Rapids Ride (is that the name?) It looks like a lot of fun. My DD (6) would probably love it. I am just concerned b/c we will be there in January and I know it will most likely be cold.

I am anxious to see the pics from Mickey's Christmas Party!! I am sure it will be a BLAST! Also, we LOVE the AK parade. Makes going to AK worth it!!

Yep, I think Camp Minnie/Mickey will be first on our list. Of course we will probably fast pass the Safari first. (Or send DH as a runner).:woohoo: What a fun place to work! I hope my daughters get the chance to work their for a sememster when they are in college. What fun.

I personally always wear my poncho on Kali rapids. Even in smoldering heat. You do get soaked. We will definitely be wearing our ponchos in December but we still plan to ride.

Well I made two great purchases today.:yay: One was MVMCP tickets!:santa: I even paid the extra $5 to have the tickets delivered. You could print them on paper using your own printer for free but what's the fun in that?:confused3 Now we can look forward to Mickey Mail!!:mickeyjum

Then, we made another unexpected purchase. We changed the time of our returning flight. It is still the same day but at a more reasonable time 12:10 p.m. We had some credits from when the price went down a little on our departure flight. The prices for returning close to Christmas have been ridiculous. I was glad I bought our tickets as soon as possible because the return flight has skyrocketed from the time I bought it. However, the later flight finally went down to a price that we thought more reasonable. With our credits we paid just $88. I personally would have kept the flight the same. I kind of liked the idea of getting back so early. However, DH thought it worth it to pay $88 and get a couple more hours of sleep. So now we just need to decide if we will stay at the Hyatt located in the airport of stay at Pop that last night. I still have both booked. I think we're still leaning toward the Hyatt although there are some good arguments for Pop as well. I'll have to give that one some time.
I also changed our T-Rex res. for a little later on the day we disembark so that there will be enough time to get to DTD in a relaxed fashion. As of a couple days ago I reserved our golf cart!:drive: We are just going to have too much fun.;)

YAY!!! How exciting!! I would probably splurge for the ticket delivery, too!! Mickey mail is always fun!! :goodvibes

Wow, everything is really coming along isn't it? We are under 50 days now, I can't believe it! :cool1: Now I'm just praying that everyone stays healthy so the kids don't have to miss any more school than they already will with the trip, and definitely hope no sickness comes in December that would mess up the trip! :scared1: I'm so glad you are able to do AK now, for the characters in the Christmas attire. I think Camp Minnie Mickey opens at 10:00, so an hour later, so you could do the Safari first and then head over. That's what we did when we were there last September, worked perfectly. There was no one at Camp Minnie Mickey, although I'm sure during the holidays that will be different!
