Resort Thread Disney's CONTEMPORARY Resort

The problem is the 4th floor looks more like it’s stuck in the mid 80’s or 90’s. Lots of purple and teal, etc. it doesn’t look like it did in the 70’s when the hotel opened, but it also doesn’t have the mid century modern look of the main lobby.
This was my main observation. It definitely shows its age.

We are staying at Bay Lake Tower for the first time this fall. Is it directly separate from the main Contemporary Resort (i.e. does it have its own check-in lobby and bell services) or are we supposed to do check-in and luggage storage at the main lobby of the Contemporary?

Also, if we are doing a grocery delivery, would we have it delivered directly to BLT or to the main Contemporary hotel (we will also have refrigerated items, I believe I read here that they would be able to be stored until we could get them?)

They do have a separate check in lobby and bell services. I am not sure on grocery delivery.

Doing a quick stay for the halloween party in October. I know they pipe in the music on the balcony of the 5th floor for the fireworks....

My question is...do they pipe in the parade music for the new starlight parade? Can you see it from the balcony? Just wondering if its worth it to try to watch.

THANKS!

My wife and I just returned from a 7 night stay (8/17 through 8/24) in a Theme Park Atrium Club room. We dined three times at Contempo Cafe, including twice during the 2pm and 5pm hours and neither saw or heard any visible evidence of construction.

We loved the Atrium Club! It's going to be hard to convince my wife to stay non-club level again. :)

Do you mean the 4th floor observation deck on the north west side of the A-frame? Yes there are speaker that play the normal fireworks audio on the deck.

No they don't play the audio from the Starlight parade, and no you can't see the parade from the 4th floor of the Contemporary A-frame. There is no view Think of it as a parade in the canyon of the buildings of MK.

I've never liked how so much of the view is of the parking lot. I'm sure the fireworks views are awesome, but I actually kind of prefer the lake view. It feels a little more peaceful.
Pics make the parking lot look a lot more prominent than it actually is. It’s hard to explain and sounds weird but when you’re actually looking at it in person it’s really not that noticeable during the day and most of your view is MK bus depot, Space, and the castle. There’s so much kinetic energy between Astro orbiter and all the activity over there my eyes are really not drawn to the lot (also pics just make it deceptively large compared to the castle. It’s really small by comparison from my room).

Fireworks are gonna be Amazing!!
