Hi,
my family and I are going to Disney the first week of December this year. I was wondering if it would be worth it for us the spend the extra money to visit the MVMCP. I've heard people say it's rediculously crowded and you can't move. Others say it's worth it. The first week at Disney has always been a great time to visit, so I'm hoping some of you who have been to the MVMCP the first week fo December can give me some insight. Thanks!

HI! We went to Disney from the 9th-13th of December in 2005! :santa: We went to MVMCP and LOVED it! It was the highlight of our trip. If you have the money to spare, I say do it! If you get there shortly before it starts it's not very crowded, infact we felt like we had Fantasyland to ourselves! We did not think it was crowded at all. I think we went on a Sunday night, but I'm not sure. I don't know if you have kids, or how old they are, but if you can ride the rides and see the shows during the first parade (8:15) and then watch the 2nd parade (10:45) you will avoid a lot of the crowds! And just remember that you will have a fun trip whether you go to the party or not!:cool1:

We've been going to MVMCP since 2000 and we love it!!! We love the whole atmosphere at the party - the snow down Main Street, the Christmas parade, the characters out in the Christmas attire, and the "Twas The Night Before Christmas" show they do! Last year, my DD decided she wanted to just ride the rides - and we rode everything - some rides many times - in just a couple of hours! The Speedway cars had maybe a 5 minute wait! It was so nice!!!

I definitely recommend the party!!!! We're going back again in Nov this year - and definitely planning to do the party again!!!

Have a great trip!!!!

Hi Majic 2000 how are the crowds? (they sound low):)
Exactly what time of year do you go?;)
On average hows the weather been?(Can you swim ever?):goodvibes
Sorry for all the questions. I just need to know:lmao:

We usually go the week after Thanksgiving (we leave the Wednesday AFTER Thanksgiving). The first fews days are great - but the Saturday they do the taping of the Christmas parade is crowded at Magic Kingdom.

The weather is really nice. Usually a little cool in the morning, but nice during the day, and sometimes a little cool again in the evening. My kids have swam during these trips, depending on how cool (cold) it is. (Although we have been a few times when it was rather chilly - sweatshirt weather - there usually are kids in the pool though - and even though the water may be warm - I'm thinking that's got to be a cold walk back to the room!!!)

That week is our favorite time to visit because of the low crowds! And the Christmas decorations are unbelievable!!!

Have a great trip!!!

We are doing MVMCP for the first time this year, on Dec. 6. Luckily, I won $1000 on the radio last Thursday! I get my check on Friday, and I'll order my tickets next week. We are also planning to do the Candlelight Processional Dinner since we got some unexpected $$, but I haven't seen any info for that yet this year. The rest of the money will pay for our airfare. All that's left to pay for is hotel (hoping for an AP code) and the kids' MYW passes (DH and I have APs left from our Feb trip). My annual bonus will come shortly before we leave, and that will pay for our food.
