Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Lets Talk Characters!

I went with my husband , 4 kids (7,8, 11, & 12), and I got the 7 dwarfs, Aladdin & Abu, fireworks, parade and 4 rides (jingle cruise, speedway, teacups and pirates). It was crowded and hard to do much. I think if you go, don't try to get everything done because you won't. I think I went in with too high of expectations.

Also my parents. Dwarfs, princes and Scrooge were might highest priorities but only got 1 of. 3 done. The lines were all super long and super crowded everywhere!

Can someone find this out for me please. If it was answered somewhere on the Dis darned if I can find it. For MNSSHP a one time party only memory maker was offered for $39. Are they doing it for MVMCP too ? Thanks

Found it! From the Photopass Facebook page:
Disney's PhotoPass Service - Yes, the One Day Memory Maker entitlement is available for purchase for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party. Visit any ticket booth at the Transportation and Ticket Center for more information and to add the one day Memory Maker entitlement to your Mickey's Very Merry Christmas event ticket. Hope you have a great time!

Yes, last night we were offered it when we got our hard tickets. Agreed with previous poster about how crowded it was. We went to MNSSHP on a similarly ranked crowd level night based on touring plans. The Christmas party felt significantly more crowded. We were spoiled - for the Halloween party we were easily able to find a front row seat for the parade in Frontierland 1/2 hour before. Last night we had to go over an hour early and within minutes after we snagged a spot there were no front rows left anywhere that I saw. By parade time, the space behind us was completely filled. All the walkways just felt packed.

We don't do characters so can't help with that, but if your priority is rides the parties are a great way to do that. Starting at 4:00, we were able to do Buzz (FP), Peoplemover, Peter Pan (FP), Big Thunder, Astro-orbiter, Haunted Mansion, Little Mermaid, and Mine Train (waited exactly 17 minutes). That was including a lot of breaks, the parade, fireworks, and castle lighting. We could have done a lot more but DS6 was on the edge a little after 10:00.

The parade was great - loved the soldiers - but we felt like the Halloween parade was much more special. If you have little ones into Frozen it's featured really heavily in the parade; loved watching this little girl's face next to me. Thought she was going to pass out she was so exited. The hot chocolate was fine, cookies were terrible (weird after taste, maybe preservatives?). Son loved loved loved snow on Main Street. We thought the castle lighting was kind of strange? Don't recommend going out of your way for it.

Overall we enjoyed the Christmas party but don't think we'd do it again. We had SUCH a great time at the Halloween party. My son has autism and has trouble with conversations. After the Halloween party he was perfectly telling a peer all about the party (such an amazing moment for mommy and daddy). At that moment we had to do the Christmas one too. But to be honest we were left a little disappointed.

Thank you again Itinkso and you too kelleybean. As you know, I had to cancel MNSSHP ( been going for decades ) and ticket office was kind enough to give me a MVMCP ticket instead. Haven't been to one in I don't remember when. I do remember going to an indoor Mickey's Christmas Party late 1990's I think, in the Contemporary if memory serves.

Anyway, as with any party I expect crowds but will be tweaking the must do list. That MM will pay for itself with about 2 pictures and I will be a hound for the characters ::yes::

I agree with PP. Very crowded and difficult to just maneuver around everyone. I enjoyed the parade and fireworks, but it was too hard to get over to tomorrowland for the show there. I wanted to meet Scrooge, but the line was 35 minutes at 10:15 and we were all too tired to wait. I'm glad I experienced it, but liked the Halloween party more.

Does anyone have a map from this year's party?? Kenny has not posted a 2014 map yet and now he is off to Disneyland Paris!!

I'm so sorry to hear about the tight crowds!!! The long lines for characters like Scrooge McDuck! And that the cookies are not good!! I thought I read in years past they were different in different areas but, I guess they are all the same heavily preserved cookies at all 6 stations?

Who's in the Diamond Horseshoe? Is it Woody, et. al. or the Country Bears?

What cookies do they have this year?

Sugar cookies (or maybe they were supposed to be snickerdoodles). Both my husband and I preferred our son's packaged gluten free cookies, so that's saying something! It is probably not normal how bummed I was over those cookies ... I think Disney could have done a much better job there. On the plus side, the places where they were giving them out were really efficient. Even when it was crowded we barely waited.

Did they still have the apple slices? If not gluten free it is and that is saying something haha

Also if you don't mind I'm guessing you didn't do the dance parties?

No dance parties ... too ride focused! They did have apple slices. Also apple juice if you don't want hot chocolate.

Thank you! my grandson does not like chocolate:sad2: and thank you for helping me remember why we loved Disney so much in the first place DS has Down Syndrome and did so many of his first while we were there

You're welcome! I believe you can add it at any Ticket Booth or Guest Services.

Thanks I've been looking for this information for days. But I hope your right about any ticket booth or guest services. It doesn't seem smart for resort guest on Disney transportation to have to go to the ticket and transportation center to get the one day MM.

There was a comment either on FB or the other MM thread that stated it could be done at any Ticket Booth. You may even try the Concierge at your resort if you are on site.
