Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party - Lets Talk Characters!

I feel the same way!! We are going the weekend of 12/11-14 and then will be back for 12/26-29. I wonder if I purchased Memory Maker if it would cover both trips?? If it did, I would definitely do it!! Does anyone have any experience with trips this close together using Memory Maker?

From what a cast member told me it is good for 30 days after purchase. I'm going to buy it right before our MNSSHP pictures expire and it will cover our MVMCP pictures and hopefully another trip before the 30 days is up. You should be good for both.

Pretty sure MM expires 2 weeks after it is first used so 2 weeks after 12/11 in your case

We use Memory Maker every trip. Memory Maker is good from 30 calendar days from when the first picture is first uploaded, or linked, to it.

If you purchase it ahead or time for only $149.00, it will not "activate" until 3 days after the purchase date and your "30 day" clock starts immediately once the 3 day waiting period ends, regardless of when the first picture is taken. So, any pictures taken during that first 3 days time would not be included. (You could always get a freebie card and then after 3 days link it to your MM on MDE).

If you purchase MM at the park, for $199.00, you can use it immediately and your 30 day clock starts ticking from there.

One item of note: Each time that we have purchased MM (usually around the holidays timeframe) Disney has offered a "free" 30 day extension for viewing your pictures online on MDE. Normally, the pictures last for 45 days in your account after they are taken.

What about the line for santa?

Wanna hear something funny???? We forgot about Santa HAHAHA. We were on our way back to the hotel and I said to my wife "WE FORGOT SANTA!!!!!!!!!

we both laughed and never even saw the line so I cant report on it.

Yes, but how long can pics be added? There was a 14 day limit at one point for sure. I know people there longer than 14 days that had to either hope the CM would give them an extension or wait to start the pics being added to get all the days they wanted. But that was probably before MM now that I think on it, that was PP+.

Memory maker works like this: it expires 30 days after the first photo is downloaded. Our friends went on sept. 7 and we arrived sept 26. We shared a memory maker and it worked perfectly. The trick is that photopass expires 45 days and memory maker expires 30 days after first download. So as long as your trips are within the 45 day window, it will work!

Photopass was 14 day limit. We were there for 6 weeks last year and a CM made a phonecall to a supervisor and they were able to extend it for us since we were there for so long.

You can begin capturing photos as soon as you purchase Memory Maker. Once you download the first photo—or otherwise redeem your Memory Maker purchase—you then have 30 days to capture more photos. Please remember to download your photos before they expire.

Disney PhotoPass photos, photos from select dining locations, photos from select attractions and any other media in your account are subject to the Disney PhotoPass Expiration Policy and currently expire 45 days from the date the photo was taken.

Hope that answers your question :)

Actually got answered a couple posts above. What I was remembering was Photopass +. That did have a limit of 14 days worth of pictures, without supervisor approval. MM does not have that limit, thankfully

Are the resorts doing any kind of meet and greets it looks like the wilderness lodge had Mickey and Minnie In holiday gear

We Have tickets to the 12/16 party. I'm considering also going the day we arrive 12/11 so we have double the chance to see the shows and the characters. Our flight gets in at 4:30ish on the 11th, would it be worth it to do 2 parties?

Only held during a few days prior to Christmas. It's to provide "atmosphere" in the resorts because the parks are very crowded. Kennythepirate.com will post the schedule a few weeks in advance... usually for the Monorail and Epcot resorts as well as AK and WL.

That's my plan! One day all the characters the next day enjoy all the events and show

This is exactly what we did for MNSSHP this year. It was nice to just roam the park freely on our "character night" and not have one eye on the clock, rushing to the parade / fireworks / shows. Even though we did end up watching the late parade that night, mainly because it was coming past as we were leaving the M&G with Mickey. :) But having 2 nights definitely took some of the pressure off trying to squeeze it all in. And there is definitely enough to do for 2 nights!

Did anyone see Duffy Bear at the Christmas party? We're going next Thur. and we heard he would be there. Would love to know where to find him.

Duffy rides on the first float in the Christmas Parade. He sits in front of the tree on the lower platform of the float.

Does anyone know where exactly we will find the seven dwarfs at during this years Christmas party?
