Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party~~December 2nd

That's great. This will our mine and DH's first time there to see the Christmas decos. Can't wait. Most of us disers will have something line green on. Hope to run into you. We have dinner ressies for 5:05 at CP.
Say does anyone here know anything about the Disney Rewards Dollars from the Disney Visa card. I have some and want to turn them in before going down on Nov. 29. Does anyone know how long it takes to receive them once they've been asked for?

Aren't we all just the quiet bunch. Guess our ressies have all been made and we're just quietly counting the days.
I've done quite a bit of my Christmas shopping and my goal is to have it all done by mid November.
Just called and got my Disney Reward Dollars all ordered. I guess they now have a credit card type thing instead of gift certificates. This credit card can be used anywhere. Where as before you had to order certificates for specific places - "The World" or store or DisneyLand.
Still have to make a few more ressies but think I may wait til we're down there. Don't really want to have everyday planned want a few just playing it by ear!
How's little Jon doing and does he still enjoy school?
Has anyone heard when they might be coming out with the people that will be reading at the CP at EPCOT?

We'll be there too on the 2nd!!
This will be our third time!!
Have ressies at LTT for 7:25pm!!!
Sister and Brother in laws First time at VMCP!!
Can't wait less than 2 months to go!!!

Hi Bev:

luvmy2prncss - arent' you worried you will miss lots of activities if you have such a late PS? We are all eating around 4:30-5:00. ish.

We certainly are a quiet bunch! Jonathan is still loving school. He was happy that Dad was home today. Jon (Sr) has Mondays & Tuesdays off & JOnathan is always upset when he has to go to school on Daddy's day off.

Wasn't today perfect? I wish we could bottle a day like today for some day in February.

All my PS's are done. By the way, they released the CP Narrator list last week. I will be there on 11/30 & so will Andy Garcia!! Let me see if I can find that list for you and post it. http://wdwig.com/h_cpfaq.htm

Joanne
PS - started some shopping. I am waiting til we return from WDW for the big stuff for Jonathan. In lieu of a kids party I am giving him $$ to spend at The BIg Toy Store at DTD. Boy, did I get off the hook (l.o.l)

Thanks Joanne for the heads up on who's there this year. Don't know if I want to make ressies or just try to get in for the 5:00 show. Maybe that one won't be so crowded????? Don't know never been. Any Garcia would be great, but we have ressies for the 30th at Prime Time. But would love to see Ben Vereen or Rita Moreno also. We have a free night on the 1st and have ressies at Le Cellier on the 4th at 6:30 so perhaps one of those nights.
Glad to hear Jon loves school.
Yes, today was a perfect day and I agree if we could only bottle it up and save it for one of those horrid snowy days. Can't believe I'm dying to see snow on Main St. DisneyWorld!!! I'm sure with the way they're talking we'll be sick of it come February.
Well DH will be watching the game tonight! Not me I'll be up at 5:00 to be to work by 7:00.....
Luvmy2prncss - Our ressies are for CP at 5:05. I would also be worried about missing so much and I have never been before. I know we don't really care too much about the rides, but do want to see a few of the shows and the fireworks and probably the late parade.
Which parade are you planning on Joanne and Luvmy2prncss?

Hi Bev

Trying to watch the game & Food Network's "Unwrapped" show. The game is so hard to watch. So stressful. I tried to get World Series tickets the other day, but they sold out in 30 minutes.

I am going to go to the 2nd parade @MVMCP. Last year we rode all the rides with no wait while people sat waiting for the parade. We watched a show in front of the castle and just sat and waited there. I thought it was going to be the beginning of the route, but turned out to be the end. We got back to PO-R at 1:00 am. But that is okay. Some of Jonathan's schoolmates from preschool (a family with triplets) met us inside Tomorrowland and the kids got to ride the rides together and we helped them keep the kids corraled.

We will kinda be circling each other all week it seems. We arrive on the 28th. Planning to do the following:

11/29 - AK/dinner@Bomas/MK
11/30-Epcot (LeCellier)
12/1 - MK/MGM(Dinner @ PrimeTime)
12/2-Rest/MVMCP
12/3-Rest/Dinner@'Ohana with family arriving that day
12/4-MK-Epcot????
12/5-Depart

The only thing about the 5pm show is that its not quite dark enough yet to get the full effect of the choir walking down the aisle and forming on stage. Andy Garcia was who I was hoping for.

We are having dinner @LeCellier @4:30 I beleive, then over to get a good seat for the 6:45 performance. Then we will have enough time for Illuminations just incase we don't a chance to go back.

45 Days - It will be here soon. Send me your email or email me with a photo when you get a chance.

Joanne

jonsmom,
No i don't think we'll miss anything...We had a late dinner last year and still were able to ride many rides, catch the parade, watch show in front of palace, get our pics taken and see Belle's enchanted Christmas.
We stayed until the bitter end. DD was wiped out but it was worth it!!!

We stayed til the bitter end also. Intend to do this again this year! We always plan on a rest/pool day the next day.

Have a great time!

I think we'll be doing the same thing staying for the later parade. Hope it won't be too crowded.
Guess the only night we'll be in the same parks is MVMCP and perhaps EPCOT on 12/4. We have ressies that night for Le Cellier and hoping to do Illuminations. As I said before we book in on 11/29 and leave on 12/8.
Well in from work and waiting for supper and kinda listening to the game that DH is watching. Hope they can pull it out!!! But hey it's great to be a Red Sox fan and get this far.........
We're off to NH on 11/8 for a week of relaxation. Looking forward to it. Then it's right around the corner to Disney.... Can't wait!
So where do you think the best place to watch MVMCP parade is? Will it be coming up Main Street toward the castle or down Main Street away from the castle?

WooHoo!!:bounce: :bounce:

Just booked our tickets! We'll be there on 12/2. This is our first December trip and our first MVMCP, so we have double the excitement! :hyper:

See you there...

That's great to hear, don't forget to wear something lime green. Do you have ressies for dinner there? If so where and what time.

Hi All,

Thought I better add a few words to this post so I can join in the fun finding you all on 12-2 MVMCP. I have my lime green Home Depot Mickeys to somehow attach....I was out shopping today and saw this absolutely horrid lime green sweater...if only it wasn't so expensive (for being so ugly) I would have bought it as a joke...just to wear and SHOUT TO ALL that I'm a Disser.
We arrive 12-1 and will be having dinner at CP at 4:25pm.....I envy those who are there with children....husband, Mike, and I will be honored to be honorary grandparents. My baby is 35...and thinks we will have no fun without "our kids" at Disney. Ha Ha
I'm so anxious to see all the shows and extra parades/fireworks etc. I just hope that Walt makes a profit that night....just not too much of one (meaning I hope it's not too crowded). Love reading all the comments. Indiana is beautiful today...nothing but yellow and orange leaves.

Shuuuuuuuuuuu....Don't tell my kids....okay???

As I told all in an earlier post that we would be at Cp for dinner at 5:15, that has all been thrown out the window.
My sister who recently relocated to SC and I dearly miss decided a couple of weeks ago to join us for a couple of days and attend MVMCP. Than last week my Dad, shockingly, anounced that they are going to drive down, spend Thanksgiving with my sis and also join us.
Woooohoooo!!
(Like I wasen't excited before)
The best part is my kids don't know.
heeheeeheeehehe
They are so excited to begin with, let alone when family shows up.
I have had to bump our CP PS to 4:30. Let's hope that they let us in that early.

Send some pixie dust my way. I'm on waitlist for a 2 bedroom BWV, instead of a 1. (Dear family, you couldn't have decided this 5 months ago???)

So if you see a family of 7 with a poohish thirty-something Mom with a big a** grin on her face and two blondy kids.

IT"S US!!!!!!!!!!!!

-Kim

LOL! Don't forget, though... you get a picture of you and your group while at the party. Lime Green may not be the color of choice for such a picture!! :D

SanilacJack...~~~~~sending pd your way!~~~~~ How much fun and what a surprise! Have fun! :Pinkbounc

Thanks for reminding me about the picture. Now I feel better for not spending to buy that lime green beauty. Guess I should be getting out the ole Christmas sweaters/sweatshirts. What are you all planning on wearing for the photo?

No dinner plans as of yet... but I'm working on it. The CP looks good, although we are 'fans' of Tony's.

The lime green fanny pack in the DIS Store looks good. I think I'll get it. The 'absolutely horrid lime green sweater' idea is a good one too. But my DW and DD wouldn't let me get out of the room in one! :crazy2:

C4241 - I will be wearing if cold enough - (which I really hope it isn't ) a Mickey 2002 sweatshirt I bought last January while down there at the Disney Outlet store. I really am hoping it won't be cold enough for that. But then we here in MA have already had snow.. Thought the first snow of the season I would see would be on Main St. Disney World!!! Hope this isn't a preview of our winter!

Snailacjack - that's great about your entire family joining you. Nothing like a family reunion at Disney. They're so much fun and some great memories to cherish.

MK-FanPR - Boy you'll be heading north while we're all looking forward to heading south to warm weather. I think a Lime Green sweater would be great - DW and DD have no sense of humor. You're allowed to act like a kid in Disney! Don't forget to wear something Lime Green and be looking for the rest of us at CP.

Will definately be looking for you as Joanne said we (the 4 of us)can be Jonathans honorary grandparents. Yipppeee a little one to watch get excited! Can't wait.

We are coming for our first trip as a family! Arriving on Thanksgiving evening, flying in from Indiana! Staying at Wilderness Lodge Villas.

So the green ribbon thing, is that so we can identify each other?

Cause I sure would like to put a few faces with names. Every one on these boards have been so nice and helpful, it has really made the trip special to me, and we haven't even been yet!

Is there a time or place to meet as a group? If not there should be!

Welcome Snowball - Yes the lime green ribbon is so we can identify each other as disers! It's fun to communciate with people that are as excited as you about going to Disney.
Don't know if they have a meeting place or time. Some of us have ressies for dinner. Like my DH and I have them at Crystal Palace for 5:00 on Dec. 2. That's the night we're at MVMCP. We have planned on meeting a few people. It is our first time at the World for the Christmas season and so our first MVMCP. Hope to see you there. Hope you - Like I have learned alot from this site regarding MVMCP and some other things as well.
They say the second parade isn't as crowded and to make sure you get your picture done early. And then there's the snow on Main Street - not to be missed. We have a rest day planned for the day well at least for during the day as that night Dec. 3 we have ressies for the HDR at Fort Wilderness. How about you any big plans other than MVMCP that you might like to share?
