The Lime Green Mickey heads are available at Home Depot in the Disney Samples of paint section...Alien Green I believe.

Ribbons are available at craft shops like Michaels or Joanne's Fabrics or even iparty had Lime Green ribbon!

I also got Lime Green luggage tags from Walmart with a Lime Green happy face on them! They are perfect!

DS (3) and me!

Can't wait! We went last year on the 3rd, it was our first time and the best part of our trip.

My DH and I will be attending MVMCP on Dec. 2nd as well. We were thinking of doing LTT for supper - Didn't think you could make ressies until 90 days out. We're also from MA - guess we'll be well represented. Our trip is from 11/29 - 12/8

KC03 - I am from Raynham - small world!

We will also be @ MVMCP on 12/2. Eating at LTT at 5:05 but will try to switch to CP. Especially since it seems that Donald and Daisy are no longer considered regulars.

This is our first trip at Christmas time and I'm so excited about going to MVMCP. I hope it won't be too crowded. Don't know if we'll make ressies for dinner. Not sure what to do - go in early and eat supper in the park or go in late for a few rides, fireworks and late parade. We have no children. We're grandparents and will be celebrating our FIRST anniversary.

Congratulations on your 1st anniversary.

Last year was our first time @ WDW for Christmas as well. We just loved it so much my husband wanted to do it again this year. Future Christmas trips will be hard to do since our little one is starting kindergarten next week. At MVMCP they have "snow" on Main St. My husband thought it was great because it was snow we didnt have to shovel. Little did we know we would be seeing the white stuff til April!

Feel free to email me with any questions you might have regarding all the holiday festivites @ WDW. I would be happy to help. Flying from Logan?

Jonsmom

Yup, we're flying from Logan - how about you? We leave on Nov. 29. You're so right about loving the snow on Main Street - stuff we don't have to shovel. (I guess we'll have enough to shovel when we get home). I'm debating about doing the Candlelight Processional. We do want to eat at Le Cleier and Rose & Crown. Is Rose and Crown where you can sit out on the patio and watch Illuminations? We'll be there for 9 days, but it still just doesn't seem like long enough time to see and do everything. We have res. for HDDR on Dec. 3. Want to save some time to "bask" in the sun by the pool! It may be a long cold winter up here! Have you made dinner res. anywhere for before MVMCP? Am confused on what to do! Should we eat in the MK or elsewhere that night????

Bev - we do have reservations to eat @ LTT on 12/2 at 5:05pm.

I do want to change them this week to the Crystal Palace. They have a great selection of foods in their buffet.

You can enter the park with your tickets as early as 4pm. Might as well eat in the park! Or you could have a late lunch @ the Poly.

We are also leaving out of Logan on 11/28.

We have made reservations for Candlelight Processional Dinner Package. We chose LeCellier. We have a 6 year old and he isnt much into hot dogs or chicken fingers or any of the kid menus. He would rather have steak. They do have steak on the kids menu. WE have never eaten @ Epcot and this will force our hand. Plus you prepay for your dinner so I figure - one meal that I have already paid for. Rose & Crown is the place where you can see the Illuminations.

We had made ressies for the Luau on the 3rd, but there are too many mixed reviews and I hate to committ to one night like that so early in advance. I promised my son in lieu of a birthday party with friends he could go to The Big Toy Store @ Downtown disney and buys some toys for his birthday. (I figure its cheaper than a party :). I gotta make time for that.

Any questions.......ask away. Yes. The Farmers Almanac does predict a Winter/spring/Summer forecast like the one we had. They are not always right!

Joannne

Crystal Palace sounds good and I've read alot of good reviews
about it. Maybe this week I'll do the same and make reservations for it before MVMCP. I've also heard alot of mixed reivews on WDWIG about the luau. We're going to Hawaii in April so figure we'll do a luau out there. With the CP dinner package if we make them for Le Celier - is it the regular menu selection or a different menu just for the package? I went to DW last January on a "girls week" and loved Le Celier. Am looking forward to having the Filet Mignon again!
So to get back to MVMCP what shows are good for two "old folks" with no kids? What shouldn't we miss? Can I call today or tomorrow for ressies at Crystal palace for Dec. 2?

Forgot to say that Jon is a very lucky little boy - going to Disney for his birthday and being able to go to that HUGE Disney store and getting gifts! WOW would you like to adopt me? :Pinkbounc

Hi Bev

I agree....Jonathan is a very lucky little boy. We even took him on a cruise in May aboard the biggest ship on the planet. He just absolutely loved it. Didnt want to spend any time with us in fact. So, it was nice for all of us. It was his 3rd cruise.

Wednesday is the day to call for ressies for the 12/2 party. I dont remember, is that the day you are going too?

All of the shows at MVMCP are excellent! The parade is wonderful. The fireworks are spectacular - they are 360 degrees around the sky. You can see them from anywhere. The show in front of the castle is very good as well. Try to be up front when it begins, since Santa Goofy makes an appearance. Rudolph flies out of the castle. We didnt get to a couple of shows since we were riding the rides during the first parade. One of the families in town was also visiting and her triplets rode the rides with Jonathan. Great great fun. Don't forget to have your picture taken. It is also included in the cost of the ticket.

Magical magical time. Oh, speaking of magical - wasnt today a beauty. I would like to bottle it up for a cold wintry day in February!

I'll make a deal with you - we will adopt you as grandparents (and take us to Hawaii of course) and you can come to WDW with us anytime!

Re: Candlelight Processional Package - you can eat off the regular menu. You have a choice of soup, salad or appetizer, entree and dessert. Beverage is supposed to be included, but dont quote me. Also, tax and gratuity is included.

I'll let you know how I make out on Wednesday.

Joanne

Hi Joanne, Today is Sept 1???? So wouldn't you be able to call tomorrow Sept. 2 for dinner ressies for MVMCP? We are going Dec. 2. I'm going to try Crystal Palace. Do let me know how you make out. Does Jonathan have silly grandparents like us that love Disney. I made a trip right after 911 with my grils and there families. We had such a great time.
Would love one more grandchild. He'd fit right in with my two 6 year old grandsons. Not twins - two different families. I have another daughter down in Mississippi that has a set of twin boys - two years old. 3 daughters of mine and my husband has a daughter. We have 9 grandchildren in all. So what's one more! My first husband past away and we were lucky enough to be able to go to WDW several times with our girls while they were growing up. He was as much of a Disney fanatic as I am. Now I'm so lucky to have found another wonderful man who also loves Disney!
Where are you staying when you go down?
What shows do they have in tomorrowland? I think I read that there are a few over there. Are most of the shows for children. Read that there a some that if you don't have kids don't bother with them?

My call day to switch from LTT to CP for December 2 is Wednesday, Sept 3.

Tomorrow, Sept 2 is my call date for December 1...Fantasmic!!

Hi Bev

Today they are taking reservations for the 30th of November. Must have something to do with 31days in October and August. Just a guess........

Jonathan would definitely fit in with the twin boys.

Tomorrow is the first day of kindergarten. Ugh......it is gonna be a tough day for me.

I don't remember what MVMCP shows were specifically for kids. I just enjoyed the atmosphere so much.

Our first trip to WDW was during the week of 9/11. We were at Chef Mickeys having breakfast at 8:30am. The rest of the week was a very low-key very sad one. We decided to go during May of 2002 and again during december 2002.

My husband worked for Amtrak so were able to take the autotrain for free. That cut down the costs for us quite a bit.

Well.....gotta run. Jonathan is patiently waiting to play some games. Talk to you soon,
Joanne

Where in MA are you from? I know a Jen Beatty that used to work for Shaw's? Wouldn't be of the same family would you?
Looks like a bunch of us from MA will be there at the same time.
THis is our first trip in Dec. and so looking forward to the Christmas shows. I'm so confused on what to do for MVMCP. Will call Wed for ressies for dinner - see what I can get. I'm confused as it sounds like some people have already made ressies more than 90 days out?

Hi,

I'm from Norfolk, MA...near Foxboro.

Yes, some were able to book LTT early when they got their MVMCP tickets. Then at 90 days you can book the rest.

I booked LTT when I bought my tickets but now I need to add my niece so I'm waiting for 90 days as LTT was SO booked they couldn't add her for me! I'll be calling Wed to switch to CP.

Wear Lime Green and we'll have to look out for each other!;)

I've been corresponding with Jonsmom57 from Raynham. We'll all have to wear something lime green to look for each other. I'll try also on Wednesday to do CP dinner if not I might try Tony's. Hope we all get CP - good luck on Wednesday - let me know how you made out. Am also trying to get ressies that day for other things. Le Celier, 50's Prime Time and Keys to the Kingdom Tour.

There's another Diser called Travelin Tigger who will also be at WDW that week and at MVMCP Dec 2 whose from Millis, Ma!

It's such a small world! We'll all look out for each other!

Good luck with your PS this week. I start mine tomorrow and go through Friday!!!

What other stuff are you doing? We've ressies for Hoop Dee Doo on Dec. 3. My DH has never been to that. My first time was last January on a "girls week" to DIS. We had such a great time. Any suggestions for first timers to MVMCP? What definately NOT to miss. Jonsmom has given some good info? I need all the help I can get as I'm so confused about it??????

We are bringing newbies so we'll do all the highlights...we're doing Chef Mickey's so their boys can see the Contemporary and the monorail.

We're doing Fantasmic Show on Monday with the dinner package. Then MVMCP on Tuesday with CP for dinner (hopefully).

Wed and Thurs are free nights and we might either do Boardwalk stuff, DTD or the Candlelight Processional. But I won't do the package for that one this time as it's just a maybe. My BIL and his family are already a bit overwhelmed by having to make PS this early so I'm only doing one package (Fantasmic). Then for my family (2 DD's ages 4 and 7) we're planning to do either the Storybook Princess Breakfast or Cinderella's Castle...it depends on my luck!

We usually plan 2 or 3 half days (or more) at MK for our DD's and a day at MGM and then a day at AK (although we've skipped this park altogether in the past) and a day at Epcot. Our kids LOVE MK just too much to do it any other way.

Then we're off to Universal from Friday to Sunday...

Anyway, don't miss the different Santa's at each country in Epcot! That's fun too.

Regarding MVMCP...it's kind of the same advice as MNSSHP excpet that there are shows to see too. Mickey's "Twas the Night Before Christmas" is great in Tomorrowland. Country Bear changes to a Christmas show.

What I do is get to MK early for dinner and finish before the party starts. I get my picture done ASAP and there's usually no line at the beginning and then again at the end. We wait for the second parade as it's less crowded. Don't miss Rudolph coming down from the castle at the beginning of the AMAZING fireworks! Also, the Dumbo ride Dumbos will have Santa hats which is a cute festive touch. They'll haul out Cinderella's carraige and put it behind the castle and usually there are characters there for photos/autographs.

The decorations are amazing! It's just a great atmosphere and great fun! We go for the shows, parade and atmosphere more than the rides at this point in our lives, but in the future we may focus more on the rides.

Enjoy!
