Any suggestions for first timers to MVMCP? What definately NOT to miss. Jonsmom has given some good info? I need all the help I can get as I'm so confused about it??????
We are bringing newbies so we'll do all the highlights...we're doing Chef Mickey's so their boys can see the Contemporary and the monorail.
We're doing Fantasmic Show on Monday with the dinner package. Then MVMCP on Tuesday with CP for dinner (hopefully).
Wed and Thurs are free nights and we might either do Boardwalk stuff, DTD or the Candlelight Processional. But I won't do the package for that one this time as it's just a maybe. My BIL and his family are already a bit overwhelmed by having to make PS this early so I'm only doing one package (Fantasmic). Then for my family (2 DD's ages 4 and 7) we're planning to do either the Storybook Princess Breakfast or Cinderella's Castle...it depends on my luck!
We usually plan 2 or 3 half days (or more) at MK for our DD's and a day at MGM and then a day at AK (although we've skipped this park altogether in the past) and a day at Epcot. Our kids LOVE MK just too much to do it any other way.
Then we're off to Universal from Friday to Sunday...
Anyway, don't miss the different Santa's at each country in Epcot! That's fun too.
Regarding MVMCP...it's kind of the same advice as
MNSSHP excpet that there are shows to see too. Mickey's "Twas the Night Before Christmas" is great in Tomorrowland. Country Bear changes to a Christmas show.
What I do is get to MK early for dinner and finish before the party starts. I get my picture done ASAP and there's usually no line at the beginning and then again at the end. We wait for the second parade as it's less crowded. Don't miss Rudolph coming down from the castle at the beginning of the AMAZING fireworks! Also, the Dumbo ride Dumbos will have Santa hats which is a cute festive touch. They'll haul out Cinderella's carraige and put it behind the castle and usually there are characters there for photos/autographs.
The decorations are amazing! It's just a great atmosphere and great fun! We go for the shows, parade and atmosphere more than the rides at this point in our lives, but in the future we may focus more on the rides.
Enjoy!
