Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party~~December 2nd

So much to take in! We are going without kids so will do about the same at the MVMCP - want to do more shows, fireworks and parade also probably the second one as most everyone has said that is less crowded. If we can stay awake. What time is firewroks and 2nd parade????
I'm going to try to get 50's Prime time for a late lunch and then off to Fantasmic on Sunday (Nov.29), Breakfast on Monday (Dec 1) at Donalds Breakfastasaurus - know how that is???? and into AK and then Rainforest at DTD that night. Tues (Dec 2) is MVMCP, Wed probably a MK day with Hoop Dee Doo that night and Thurs (hopefully) Keys to the Kingdom tour with supper at Le Celier and Illuminations. Friday EPCOT and Saturday and Sunday are we'll see days (nothing planned) and then boo hoo home on Monday to probably SNOW - the shoveling kind! Boo Hoo. Where are you staying????

The fireworks are about 9:15p and the 2nd parade is about 10:45p.

Your plan sounds fun! I'm looking forward to some trips without our kids but that won't be for at least another 10 years at least!

We're DVC members since 2001 but have never stayed 'home' at the BWV until this year...I can't wait! We usually stay at a monorail resort but it's about time we stay home!

My late husband and I went many times to Disney while our children were growing up. We enjoyed every minute of it. You're time will come before you know it to go without the kids. The first time we went without kids seemed strange at first but we did things we never did before - we were like two little kids. He past away a few months after that trip of a heart attack. Now I'm remarried and with my new husband who I introduced to Disney only a year ago - and he loves it.
We're thinking of looking into DVC while there. Not sure we'll have to go listen to what they have to say. We were thinking of the new golf vc thye're building. My husband loves golf and plays a few times a week.
We're staying at the GF wanted to be on the monorail. And got a really good price as an annual pass holder.
Hope to see you there. Let me know how you make out with your ressies this week.

Sorry to hear about your first DH:( but I'm also VERY happy for you that you were able to find someone new to share your life with! That's wonderful.

No, I'm not rushing my kids out of the house or anything like that but I just know that when we go without the kids, it will be a very different kind over vacation and we'll do things we couldn't or just didn't do before...

We stayed at the GF 2 years ago and it is by far my favorite resort!!! I would love to stay there again in 2005 (every year if I could afford a 2 bedroom there!) before my girls out grow MK but this year and next year are both set at BWV because we invited family/friends so we need a 2 bedroom!

I'll PM you my success and you can tell me about yours!;) :(

Good luck this week also. I can't believe it's time to make all these ressies. 89 more days and I just am getting so excited. One of the girls in work leaves a week from Tuesday. So we've been talking and talking Disney. Hope to get down there next year with all my kids and grandkids. The children are already starting to save for it.
Looking forward to finding out how you make out and again good luck.

Let me know how you make out this week with your ressies. I think we might try for Tony's. Looked over the menu and it sounds good????? Hope we can meet up somewhere it would be fun. Good Luck this week.

Howdy Howdy Howdy!

I'll be there on Dec 2. Our LTT ressies are at 6:50pm, but we will be there until closing, so that's good. Will we miss anything at the very beginning? We are also scheduled to do the Hoop-De-Doo on Dec 3. We're going to be there at 5:00pm. My BF and I are staying at ASM, POR, and CSR for 2weeks. The rest of my Family is staying at CR for their trip. We are so looking forward to our trip!!! Hope everyone has a great time!!!!!!!!:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

How was Jon's first day at school????
Well, got my ressies for MVMCP we're eating at Tony's, figured we'd leave the characters meals for the kids. I called today and got all my dinner ressies for up to Dec. 3. Even was able to keys ressies for Keys to the Kingdom Tour. Everyone that has been on it raves about it. We'll be doing that on Friday Dec. 5 at 9:30 and lunch is included! Will call D again beginning of next week to finish up making our dinner ressies.
How did you both make out with yours?
Fan of Goofy our Hoop Dee Doo Ressies are for Dec. 3 at the 7:15 show -too bad they're not the same time.... Have you ever been - it's such fun.

Hi Bev

Jonathan's first day of school was great! School starts @ 12:30 and the bus picked him up @ 1:05pm. He was home @ 3:45, which wasnt so bad. He never wanted to take the bus to school and its become his favorite part of the day. Today it came @ 12:55 - getting better and home @ 3:30.

I got my MVMCP ressies for CP @ 4:30 so I cancelled my LTT for 5:05pm. I really wanted LTT for Daisy & DOnald, but I dont think they are regulars there gathered by what I have read. Didnt want to be disappointed. We have eaten at the CP once before and loved the food. The characters are okay but I love the desserts there.

The Beatty family will be there around 5:15 I beleive.

Talk to you soon,
Joannne

Well I called Disney back today and switched our ressies on Dec. 2 to CP. Ours are at 5:05. Had to call back cause I made them for the wrong night at Tony's Town Square. Oooops and I realized it about an hour after I hung up. Don't know what got into me. Must have been a bad day at work!!! Hopefully we'll see you all there. bev

I was just reading some past notes and came across one from you saying you're doing Fantasmic on Monday night 12/1. So are we. We've gotten lunch ressies for 50's Prime Time at 3:00 and Fantasmic (I read) somewhere starts at 6:00. We also have ressies for CP at 5:05 and then MVMCP on 12/2. We will definately have to wear something lime green all of us disers that will be there on 12/2.... bev

You'll have to get something lime green also to wear it will be like a reunion! What a great time we'll all have looking for each other at CP on 12/2. I'll have to look for Beattyfamily at Fantasmic as they'll be there the same night as we're planning. I'm so excited about going to Disney at Christmas time. This will be our first trip that time of year. Can't wait! How about you? bev

Hi!

Yes, I am doing MK & Chef Mickey's Nov 30, MGM and Fantasmic (H&V package) Dec 1, Epcot and MVMCP (CP at 5:15p) on Dec 2, Storybook breakfast then AK with no other special plans on Dec 3, Mk again with no other special plans.

I want our schedule a little bit open for swimming, eating in our villa, renting a boat or bike and the Boardwalk and of course, DTD!

I was tempted to do CRT or Prime time cafe Dec 4 (calling tomorrow) but I think I'll just stick with what I have.

I so enjoy the planning but it can be stressful too!!

I will be sure to wear my Lime green and look out for fellow Disers and those from MA! ;)

We'll be there December 2 too!! Can't wait. We'll be there with my mom and my sister and brother in law.

Anyone have any luck finding those lime green ribbons?

No I haven't found any lime green ribbons yet. But really haven't looked. Will have to get on the ball and get that done. Our time to go will be here before you know it. I just can't wait. Feel like a little kid waiting for Christmas. Are you doing dinner before MVMCP and if so where?

I went to Home Depot and got a lime green mickey mouse head paint swatch, cut it out and attached a lime green ribbon to it. hot glued a pin back to it all and I'm set. Please...Don't call me Martha, I might cry.

If any body wants one I could mail one to ya.

I will put mine on my backpack so it will always be with me.

-Kim

Very creative and I think we should call you "Martha". You gave me an idea I'll go to the material shop and get some lime green ribbon if I can find some and tie a bow on my backpack. Won't be as creative as you but it will be something lime green! One of the girls I work with told me not to miss "Mickey's Twas the Night before Christmas in Tomorrowland and the Diamond Horse Show Review. Then the Fireworks of course and we'll be doing the second parade. From what everyone says it's not as crowded. We have no little ones so don't have to worry about anyone falling asleep. Well except us!

I think our big plan (notice I said "our", it's actually mine) ;) is to see the things that evening that you would only be able to see at MVMCP. The rides you can do any day of the week. Its the shows, the snow, the characters in holiday outfits, the special fireworks, the music, the parade.....Did I say the snow?????

If we have time, we will catch some rides, but I really want to get caught up in the specialness of the evening, not trying to run my family ragged to do something we can do any ol' time.

BTW, I had heard that the Country bears Christmas show during the day is the same as MVMCP. Does anyone know if there are any other shows, like Goofy's horse shoe revue, that are like that?

Holiday Cheers!
-Kim

This will be our first MVMCP. We will be there on 12/2 and have PS at the LTT for 5:10pm.Cannot wait for this trip to begin!
