Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2005

Not sure if this has been asked already in this thread as I haven't read the whole thing.

What time are the parades and what time is Wishes during the Party. I also wanted to know , does anyone know what time is a good time to make ressies at the California Grill so you can view Wishes. I wanted to make a ressie for just my dh and I and surprise him with the fireworks, (he doesn't know you can see them from the Grill )

Thanks

Last year the parade was 8:15p and 10:45p and it usually stays about the same each year give or take 15 minutes.

The party fireworks are always at 9:15p unless there's a weather issue.

I have ADR at LTT for 6:45pm - we'll have dinner and make it out just in time to see the 8:15pm parade near Liberty Square which I have read gets less crowded then main street and near the castle.

My question is this.... Do we have time to see Twas the Night before Xmas show in Tomorrowland and then dash over to LTT for our ADR?

Or should I change or ADR at the 90 day mark and get something earlier like 5pm?

thanks

I saw it mentioned that there is an AP discount for the MVMCP tickets. What is the price/discount, and is there a limit to how many tickets an AP holder can purchase?

Basically, here's the deal. My MIL & FIL have active AP's. We are going to WDW with them in December. We (me, DH, DD & DS) will be buying AP's in December. SO - can my in-laws buy the MVMCP tickets for us now with the AP rate, or will we have to wait until we get our own AP's?

TIA!

I would try to get an earlier ADR at the 90 day mark. Others have advised me to get one around 5:30, because that lets you out just before 7:00 and you can get your photo taken outside LTT right away while most everyone else is shuffled into Tomorrowland.

The AP discount is good only on some of the party nights. I paid $35.10 for my ticket and then an extra $3 to have it shipped to me. Because I have an activated AP now, they were able to give me the AP rate. I believe that you may have to show your AP (activated) when you go in. As far as how many can you get at one time? I think they would limit it to one ticket per pass.

When I called last week, I was told that I would have to show proof of my AP when I picked up the tickets. Couldn't get them mailed to me. There wasn't a limit though to how many I could buy at the discount price.

Your parents can order them and then pick them up via will call and show proof of an activated AP. Or you can even buy them and just show your APs to pick them up.

If you order on the phone with AP discount, they will no longer mail them to you. They want proof of the AP. You can get around this with an unactivated AP online though and have them mailed to you.

In the beginning many were mailed their AP party tickets and some even without APs got the discount. That is no longer the case. All CMs are finally on the same page.

I think dan-tot was asking what the AP discount price is.
35.10 adult and 27.64 child

Hi! We are going Dec 10-17 and are going to MVMCP on the 13th. We have also scheduled one more day in the MK. Do you feel this is enough time to visit the MK with dds (almost 5 and 1yr)? Any advice would be great! Thanks!

Are those discounts off the gate price? The child price is actually more than the advanced ticket price on the first page of this thread.

I never noticed it before but I think some of the prices on page one are incorrect. Maybe they are from last year?? :confused3

Here are the prices for this year:

Welcome to the DIS! I'd need more info to offer advice. How many days are you doing parks? Is this your first time to WDW? On your MVMCP day, what are you doing during the day?

SSPrincessMom I will be there same time as you and Party same day. What a small world we live in.

Hi Ccgegg! We are going to be in the parks 4 days (1 Epcot, 1 MK, 1 MGM, 1 AK) We are not planning on going to the park on Tuesday morning. We were thinking of shopping in DTD (girls) and golfing (Guys) that morning and then all going to the MVMCP together! We do have our last day open, and I could schedule it for another day at MK but we were thinking of doing a tour that day (maybe family magic?) I wasn't sure if it would be better to just have another day of rides/shows/etc. at the MK rather than the Family Magic Tour, or if between the MVMCP and other day at MK if that would be enough for us.

We are celebrating younger DD's 1st bday (hopefully at Cindy's) and thought the family magic tour might be fun for Dh, myself, and older dd (will let Grandma watch the baby) to give older DD a special activity "just for her".

SO, maybe my question has changed....is it better to do 1 day at MK, one night at MVMCP and then the family magic tour or 2 days at MK (just riding rides, shows, no tour) and one night at MVMCP? :)

We will be going to see my brother later on that afternoon, so we would only have the morning in the park to either go on our own or go on the tour.

Hugpug, are you getting excited? That is neat we will be there the same time! :earsboy:

Thanks for all the advice and help!

If it's DD's first time to WDW, I'd say spend the extra day in the park. I think she'd like that more than the Family Magic tour.

If she's "been there, done that", I think the tour is a good idea.

I ordered my tickets for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and although i had some trouble on phoning WDW to get them because they couldn't really understand me. They took about 6 days to come and were delievered by UPS rather than Royal Mail. Cannot wait to go i think our tickets are for the 15th.

Thanks! This will be our 2nd trip to WDW. She really doesn't remember the last time (only 2 1/2) but we went to DL last year (had to change from WDW last minute with hurricane!) She got several days there, so I think she will be up for doing something different! Thanks so muchfor all the great advice!
