Stacy,

We'll be in NJ for Thanksgiving, and my husband doesn't really like flying and I didn't want to deal with Newark. We are leaving early on the 25th stopping in GA, going to Daytona USA on the 26th and checking into the GF on the 27th.

It's finally spring here in upstate NY and I'm getting excited about our trip in November when winter will be knocking on our doors!

Dawn

Well, if you're in NJ already, then it's halfway there (BAH really kidding on that). There is most defiintely a bonus of not losing luggage or dealing with the Magical Express that I keep hearing about.

haha - I keep thinking that I'm crazy to be wishing for late November to get here when the weather now is turning out to be perfect. I'm glad that I'm not alone on that!

We will be at MVMCP on Dec 4 (our first party) and cannot wait. We are eating at the Liberty Tree Tavern. I just read your post on walking to WDW. I made up my mind this morning that I needed to start walking to be able to take in the long days and late nights. I have decided to bike my way to Disney on my stationary bike...how cool is that :moped: Thanks for the idea and good luck on your walking :dancer: We have read so many helpful tips from every one about the party that I have to say thanks! :goodvibes

Thanks for answering so fast! :sunny: :cold: ...anything is better than Boise in December!

You would think! But the coldest I've ever been was in Orlando in December, and I'm from the great white north of Wisconsin! :rotfl:

I was stationed there for a year while in the Navy...and we had a suprise week long cold snap. No heat...for a week. We wore everything we owned and still froze! :cold: :cold:

Moral of the story...be ready for anything! :goodvibes

Hi All,

We are thinking about going on 11/27. I tried to buy tickets online but it says something like "tickets for that product are not available". I hadn't even reached a point where days were specified so does this mean it is completely sold out for all dates? :earseek:

More likely something just wrong with the online booking deal.

What are the ticket prices and hours? FOUND IT AT START OF THREAD/Still wondering about the online purchase capability????

Thanks

As far as I know they aren't available online yet, you have to call to order them. Eventually they should be available online though, just don't know when.

I was able to order my tickets for 11/27 online last Thursday. There was a 'Purchase Tickets' button on the page that describes the Very Merry Christmas party. I'm going to pickup my tickets the day we arrive, so I saved the money on shipping as well.

I'm soooooo excited we just ordered our tickets last night online for 12/1---- our first MVMCP!!!!! We also have AR's at LTT for 6:25 (that was the earliest time they had-- I was a little surprised).
I had to ask the woman 3 times to make the AR because she keep telling me I had to wait until 90 days before the date, it took about 10 minutes before she found out that I could make an AR and she also said I could only make it for Tony's or LTT--- I thought the CP and CRT were also open, does one know for sure?
Thanks!!!!

We're planning on going this year! We went to the Halloween party last year and had a great time! How quickly do dates sell out for MVMCP??? I'd hate to miss a good date, but don't want to order tix until we get back from our quickly approaching vacation at WDW. :cloud9: :earsboy:

THEY CAME!!! :Pinkbounc
I am sooo excited! My MVMCP tix did have the correct date.

Now I have a question....My PS for LTT is at 5:45. It will just be my best friend and I. It shouldn't take us more than an hour to eat. Will there be something special they do at the very beginning of the party to kick it off that we want to make sure and be there for? If so, should I move my PS earlier or are we good to go?
Anyone able to answer this one? :confused3

There wasn't at MNSSHP, but I'm wondering at what time the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony takes place. Hmmm. Anyone? Anyone?

:) Michele

We are arriving on the 18th - early to mid-afternoon. I can't decide whether to buy tickets for 12-18 or 12-20. The 18th seems too soon after driving for 2 days, but the 20th is the last day. Do you think the crowds will be the same on both dates? We've never gone before.

Thanks in advance for your advice!!

I can't remember exactly from experience, but online, I found a site that says it is performed at dusk, 6 p.m.

I love this party! I am from Florida so to see the snow fall on Main street is something very special. To answer the question in regards to the gate...Here is a tip....You can usually be allowed in around 6:00. The park crew is trying to get everyone out that doesnt have wrist band. We usually get our picture taken right away before the lines get so long...

Yes...The normal full scale dining is available. We eat at Tonys because I love Italian.

The crowds are great! We go during the week. We can ride everything and only wait about 15 minutes....

We try to go as late as possible in December so that we can wear sweatshirts at night. :cold:

LTT and Tony's are the only 2 places that take AR's when you buy your tickets, Crystal Palace and CRT are open I believe until 6 pm, you make those AR's at 90 days out.

HTH!

this will be our first time at MVMCP- Tuesday, December 6th-----the AR for LTT and Tony's were backed up to 6:55pm when i called, and we don't want to go that late....so i skipped it and will try back at 90 days hoping for cancellations.

as an alternative, will any counter service places still be open during the MVMCP? I assume it is just the full service places that close at 7?

My first thought was to tell you to go on 12/20 but then I saw that 12/20 was the last day so this might not be the best time to go due to crowds (I don't know).

I was going to say 12/20 since you might be too tired from traveling to really enjoy the party. But going on the same day that you arrive might also be a neat way to kick-start your stay.

Hopefully some folks can give you feedback on what their experience was going on the day they arrived or how crowded it was if they went on the last day of MVMCP.

We took our niece and nephew (then 5 and 8) the day before we were leaving to come back home and we should have gone earlier on in the trip. They were too tired from all of the other park exploring earlier in the week to really enjoy MVMCP. I did make reservations at CRT for the night that we arrived to WOW them some (it was their first trip), but my nephew was suffering from motion sickness from the traveling and didn't really enjoy it all that much. So going the day you arrive is good if all of you are good travelers and are rested enough to enjoy it all. It does sound like you'll have time to rest some before heading over there.

The party itself is SO MUCH FUN. Be sure to partake in the free cookies and hot chocolate and don't forget to get your photo taken.
