One week from today (right now), I'll be on the plane!!! I can't wait. I've been packing away and checking weather website to figure out how much winter stuff to pack!

I can't wait for the Christmas party November 29, which is also my 40th birthday celebration! It's been a long time coming! :cool1:

:cool1: I just got my new tickets for Sunday Deceber 11th! not a problem to mail them back and switch dates and i saved $20. guess I will have to use that money to buy some pins.

19 more days for us!!!

Thanks for the info on the discount (or lack there of). Guess I'll go ahead and order my tickets on line. Surprising my DH, who is NOT a huge holiday kinda guy, suggested we do this. I'm not going to give him time to change his mind! :teeth:

IN the past how has the attendance been at the party around the 18th. It is a Sunday and my family and I are debating getting tickets. We are not going to Disney but just staying one night in the area before we fly back after our cruise.

If you have any advice it would be apperciated

We always go on weeknights so as to avoid the locals that like to enjoy the party too. I don't think I have ever seen a MVMCP too terribly crowded. I will say this though, the closer to Christmas you actually get, the more crowded the event will be and more so on weekends.

Just confirming what's already been posted, I had wondered the same thing a few weeks back and called NAS Jax and they said 'no discount' for military.

One thing to remember -- anything you can buy tickets for at Shades of Green, do so -- even if there is NO discount! You pay no local or state sales tax at SoG! That saves you 13%, which is a healthy discount in itself!

Where in the world are people charged 13% sales tax??????? :earseek: Sales tax varies here in Florida but it's normally only 6-7% and it depends on what county you are in.
