Hi BeattyFamily You seem to be a seasoned DW vacationer!! So, I'd like to ask your opinion....We already have our tickets for DW...we are FL residents and we will be there the same time as you! My question is...Is it completely worth it to spend the extra $150 to stay for the Celebration? I know, I know, that's probably a tough question, and I am sure your answer is YES....LOL....but, it's a lot of money on top of the passes I just bought for our whole family!

I guess I want to hear that we wouldn't be missing out on too much if we don't stay for it ....even though I know you'd be lyin'!!!!

It's hard to say because we love it but it is expensive. It's festive and magical. It can sometimes seem crowded and yet to others seem like the rides are walk on. The snow falling down on Main street, the christmas parade and the special HolidayWishes fireworks are all worth it to me. Then there's the special shows and the free souvenir photo. The all round festive atmophere is just great. But it is expensive. You can still see decorations and hear the festive music during the day though.

You can enter around 4:00p with just your party ticket so you are getting about 8 hours with your party ticket so lots of people don't even use a day on their park tickets on the party day and just relax till 4:00p.

Gee, I never thought about NOT going to a park during the day and saving the day for another visit... That's actually a GREAT idea! I was thinking to myself, why would we go to the park during the day, then spend more just to get back in later! My brain is on overtime this time of year! Thanks for the advice! I'm so NEW to this. Am I right in understanding there are two parades at MVMCP? If there are, and we only choose to see one, which would you recommend? We have two children (DD 5 and DS 2) but plan to take an extended rest in the hotel before the party and sleep in the next morning.

The later one is usually less crowded.

Not crazy at all. By the time the second parade rolls around DS is pooped out, so he gets to drift off during the parade...must make for great Christmas Dreams. You will have a fabulous time!

FYI:

When we went last year they did NOT have any t-shirts to sell on our night!!

We went on Tuesday, and they had sold out on Sunday and were still waiting for a new shipment.

I hope they have some this year.

WOW! This month has gone by sooo fast! We leave for WDW on Novemeber 30th!!! Today is my son's 7th birthday and we plan on celebrating it again on the 30th at WDW! HE is soooo excited as are we, to be going to see Mickey at Christmas time! This is our family honeymoon trip also, as we got married in September and my son did not go with us on our honeymoon. WE told him we would take him to WDW in Dec for Christmas and he was thrilled. So we have so much to celebrate next week we can't wait!

We are going to the candlelight processional on the 30th and MVMCP on Dec 1st! This will be my husband's first time to disney since he was a small kid and I can't wait to see his face when we enter Magic Kingdom all decorated for CHristmas! We are all Disney and Christmas freaks so he will be so excited!

Time to think about packing! We are having Thanksgiving twice, once on Thursday and once on Saturday so all my time has been planning that! Now time to start the Disney Mania Countdown!!

they have special MVMCP t-shirts and pins. The lines for the pins started at about 6:30 or so and were LONG by the time 7pm came around.
