Actually City Hall is on the left, if you're entering the park, it would be on the right as you leave. This will be our first MVMCP, we've done Halloween, but didn't know at the time they had special merchandise. Thanks for the info you guys!

AuntPatti: We'll be there on the 11th too, it's my dd's 6th birthday! Hope you have a great time and a magical birthday!

Thanks so much! And a :bday: to Kirstin too!

Sorry if I missed a post on this before...but I have a 12/13 ADR for LTT at 5:30pm for a table of 6. I am canceling it. Anyone want it?

Hi everyone...I love reading these boards. Everyone's tips are so helpful. :)

My family is going to MVMCP on 12/18 and we are staying at WL. My question is about transportation for this event specifically. We are driving to Disney so we will have our car, but thought we'd just take the boat over to the MK for the party. However, I'm wondering if the boats run that late coming back? What about the buses? Also, does anyone know how long of a wait to expect to take the boats or bus back to WL? My youngest is 4 and I'm just thinking at midnight or 12:30 I really don't want to be holding him for an hour while waiting to board. Would it be quicker if I just took my car?

We went last year, but only took my older son and we stayed until the very end and took our car. But we also did not stay onsite. So, just wondering what would be the quickest way back to WL.

Thanks!

I HAD READ THAT MVMC WAS NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I HAVE TRIED TO READ THROUGH A LOT OF THIS THREAD AND HAVE NOT FOUND A LOT OF INFORMATION, OTHER THAN YOU ALL SEEM TO ENJOY IT. MY FAMILY IS GOING THE FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER, IS IT WORTH IT? AND CAN YOU JUST GIVE ME A SALE POINT OR TWO? :cool1:

I have never been before...BUT, I think that there will be a few things worth my money...
1. Snow on Main Street
2. Hot Cocoa and cookies around the parks
3. Special holiday parades only seen at MVMCP
4. Less crowds in Magic Kingdom
5. Christmas lights at night
6. If you are a night person...I think this is perfect!!

I see that you probably have daughters, I think that the Christmas celebration will be great and very special...however, it just depends on how late you stay. Maybe you can all take a break in the afternoon and then stay longer at night in the park...the lines for the rides will be less long and it will be cooler at night. I love cold weather and I am looking forward to the party. I, like you, debated on spending the extra money but I just couldn't pass this up because I love Christmas and I live in Texas so I never see snow!!
:wizard:

We also live in Texas and love Christmas. I think I may have the biggest Christmas CD collection. I had just heard that it was usually packed and wanted to use the money in the right place. But, I think I might take the family.

Well, it is a lot of fun...definitely a festive atmosphere. And it certainly put us in the holiday spirit with the snow, the decorations, and my favorite: listening to the carolers sing as we were all lined up waiting for the Christmas parade to start.

Thanks for the special MVMCP pin info! I didn't know they were only available at City Hall, I assumed they were in the stores with the other MVMCP merchandise. We attended in 1998 there was no pin collecting/trading back then...

Princess Dad, I've read some people don't think it's worth it too. When I went years ago, my kids were teeny, a baby and preschooler and we did not stay late at all, but I thought it was worth it! I guess alot of it is expectations for rides. I'm not there to hit a ton of rides, I'm there for the magical Disney Christmas atmosphere, parades, shows, all the special things that aren't there any other times. We'll go on some rides, but that's just part of fun of the night, not our main focus. I can't wait! :wizard:

Hi can someone please tell me how many parades are they at this party, and if you are already in the park do you have to leave???

There are two parades around 8:00 and 10:00 and as long as you have party tickets, then you do not have to leave but if you do not, you will be escorted out by 6:00p.

Thank you. I will read all the other posts on this, we are going to this on the 15 /12 and will be staying at Disneys port Orleans fro the 13 to the 17 / 12 our second visit this year and after this we will be staying in a villa until the 30/12

1st time at MVMCP, dinner at the castle around 5:30. I understand that everyone is moved to tomorrow land between 6 and 7 for the park to be cleared, but would you reccommend that we head back to the main entrance to get the full effect of the night when the party starts? :cool1:

I've never done that. But what you might get is the "full effect" of thousands of guests still arriving for the party and streaming down Main Street. If that's what you're looking for, go for it.

It's hard to believe, but not even close to "everyone" is in the park by 7:00. Last year we happened to cross the end of Main Street around 7:30, and people were still pouring in! Personally I think 7:00 is a good time to catch a show, get your picture taken, or catch a couple attractions in the far corners of the park.

Just bought my tickets today when I made my hotel reservations. We're going Dec. 6. I actually think I was told the wrong thing. The cast member told me that the shipping was $3. I told her I wanted to do will call instead. She said you could only do that if you were ten days or fewer out. I know I've heard others say they were doing will call, but I didn't figure $3 was worth the argument.

I ordered mine online and believe the shipping was $3. I think AP holders have to do will call, but everyone else gets the tickets mailed? I don't think mine had the option of will call. Of course, I want mine in my cold slimy hands anyway. $3 is worth not standing in line at the front of the park to get my tickets to me.
