Some quick questions

1. There is a separate charge right?
2. If you are at the park that day when do you get thrown out?
3. Is it worth it? We have done the MNSSHP is it the same?

1. Yes.
2. Yes, but I wouldn't word it as thrown out. More like asked to leave.
3. People love it! Other than the rides, that you can go on outside of the party too, it's pretty similar to MK's party.

1. There is a separate charge right? yes it is a seperate charge
2. If you are at the park that day when do you get thrown out? It really depends on what time the Halloween party was starting.
3. Is it worth it? We have done the MNSSHP is it the same? I have never done MNSSHP but we really enjoyed ourselves when we went this past year. We came home with a ton of candy and got a ton of pictures. The parade was nice and the fireworks were exclusive to the party.

I certainly think it is worth it. I have gone to every Halloween Party (it has different names almost every year!) I have also attended one MNSSHP and the two are very different, but the same. Florida's event has an awesome parade, whereas California's event has had a Cavalcade. (I am curious to see if this will become a true parade at some point.) Just last year, DL version added the Halloween Screams fireworks show, which now matches MK's event in the fireworks department. You can still trick or treat for candy and last year's CM were VERY generous with the candy. I still have a bag of candy from MHP from last year.

And don't forget, DL has Halloween Time, where the park is decked out for Halloween. Even if this is not apart of MHP, it makes a trip to DL during Sept/Oct a very good time to visit.

There is a great blog about the 2010 Halloween Party here on DIS. Read it here. It should give a good idea of what was offered at last year's MHP and it has tips, too.

There is a Halloween at DL superthread, where information and pictures on Halloween Time and MHP is posted. Find it here

Great links!!! I think you have made up mind. I was deciding between a RCL cruise and MNSSHP or a DCL cruise and DL.

Disney wins as usual!!!

We went this past year and I've gone a couple times before at DCA. Truthfully, I liked it better at DCA. I can understand why it's not there now because of construction. I just felt DL was too big and spread out. I liked all the Halloween decorations, though.

The party was my Mom's favorite part of our trip last October. This was after I trumped her and bought tickets anyway....she didn't think it would be worth the money.

Sorry, I am confused. Did you decide on a West Coast cruise or an East Coast cruise? I think you have decided on a DCL cruise and DL.

Awesome! You should have a great time. Be sure to get all the info you can. The Halloween Superthread will probably have info on this year's MHP when the announcements are made.

There is an October Check in thread Here is the link, where Disneyland October Sojourners' vacation dates and lodging is listed. There is also a Halloween Party thread that I have started, but it is too early to start listing the attendees and their dates. I will update the thread as soon as tickets go on sale. So when you have your dates and MHP tickets bought, you can visit these threads (or post your information) to see when other DISers will be at DL at the same time you are.

And oh I forgot: Welcome to DISboards! :welcome:

Thanks for the all the great info....I know this whole trip is going to drive me crazy because planning for WDW is so much more intense (or so it seems). I think this may end up being a relaxing park trip!

I felt that it was totally worth it. In fact, I had such a good time with some out-of-town friends at the Trick or Treat Party last year, that I ended up buying a second ticket and going with some other friends a second time. For us, a big part of the fun was being able to dress up in costumes. I highly recommend going that route. Good luck with your trip planning!! :goodvibes
