Mickey's Philharmagic

Does anyone know when Mickey's Philharmagic is supposed to open. I know that they are giving random 'screenings" every once in a while, but when is it supposed to open to the general public?

Disney's web site doesn't give an actual date, just states that it is opening in oct.

Safari Steve who is a CM at WDW and posts on these boards said October 8th was date it was to open.Looking forward to seeing it also on my December trip.
