Five weeks from today, we'll be in Nassau!!!! And that afternoon we'll be renewing our vows!!!!! I can't believe it is finally getting here.

Greetings folks. Since you all sound rather low key and not too excited i thought i'd jump right in the mix. No, actually i am the "lurker". Patty's Husband-ruler-master-love of her life -bestes friend ...well you get the picture. Patty makes me sound like a Dis Board pervert. Hey, i just like to read. I'm really the silent shy type She said that if i'm going to keep reading i have to participate. So, here i am. Let's hear about the males (you know the dominent sex) going on the cruise. I want to know what kind of conversations i should expect. Do we have funny guys , boring guys , guys that like to read or talk? Any sports fans (real football for you English folks. Hah!)? How about any fellow Rednecks. I want to stoke up a grill and fire pit right on board the ship . For some reason Patty would probably leave me if i were to suggest it to the Captain. I hope these icons show up. When i click on them only words appear. Can you tell i don't do this often. Or at all. Incase these icons are showing up thats me doing my "happy dance" when we get on board. I am so going to embarass Patty. And probably anybody else near me.

Sounds like a match for my husband! Mine loves beer, sports (football and baseball) and throwing bags (the bean bag game!)

I love the firepit idea........sitting around having a drink, may be kinda hard with the kiddies for us! Thank goodness for the kids clubs and Flounder's Nursery.......where else can you go on vacation and have a babysitter for ya!

I think these tags are really only our ME tags so in case we end up needing ME we have the tags and our voucher already. We have rented a car for our travel back and forth to the port, so we wont' be using these. I know that we will be getting something soon (probably in the next week or two) from DFTW with stuff about our vow renewal. That's what I am looking for!!!

Hi Patty's husband! My DH is not going on this cruise with us (he is watching the other 4 kids at home) but, you two would probably get along great. Welcome to the board.

Those can not be your docs you are talking about. As exciting as that would be Disney sends them out like 2 weeks before the cruise. They make us wait until the last min! Other lines send them out like 4 weeks before. For me it works out though because DS and DD will be back in school by the time docs come. I have lasted this long without spilling the beans on their surprise and I would be so peeved if they found out at the mailbox!

We got the kids water shoes for Atlantis today. Starting to get excited.

Cool beaners Karen. Your hubby and i can chill in the sports bar during the down times. I'm sure we can drag some other hubbies in also. We'll have to make up for those like Mary whose hubbies are not going to be there. Can you say wings, corn dogs and pig roast . Yea hah. Let me guess you husband IS A Philadelphia Eagles fan. "Los Angeles (AP) -- As if rising gas and food prices weren't enough, a ticket to the Magic Kingdom will soon cost a few bucks more.

The Walt Disney Co. (DIS, Fortune 500) said Friday it is raising one-day ticket prices at its domestic parks starting Sunday.

Tickets for those aged 10 and older to Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla., will rise from $71 to $75, while tickets for children aged 3 to 9 will go from $60 to $63.

At Disneyland in Anaheim, Calif., one-day prices will rise from $66 to $69 for those aged 10 and older, and from $56 to $59 for children aged 3 to 9.

The price increase applies in varying degrees for longer stays, while the park hopper option, an add-on that allows ticket-holders to move among any of Disney's parks, will cost $50, up from $45."


Quite honestly, in this economy, I am very surprised to hear they are raising prices.


Dale, I would just like to mention that I am a Raiders fan. They have been my team since I was 8 years old. I still have vivid memories of the team playing the Redskins at the super bowl.....about 27 years ago I think. Even when they suck I still love them.

If my mom's boyfriend still comes, he is not at all a sports kind of guy. He is from Italy and very opinonated and please....for goodness sake.....Do NOT get him started on politics!!!! He is a chef and he use to design cars in Italy so I know he has interest in those. I think he will probably be quiet and not much company for the guys hanging out on this cruise. I think he is a bit shy sometimes.

Hey Dawn, i actually like to hear other peoples opinions because an opinion is NEVER wrong. They might be wacky, but, not wrong. I try to avoid talking politics also. Your Mom's boyfriend might be shy but sounds like he could have alot of interesting things to talk about. He designed cars? Regular, expensive what kind? I also love cooking but am far from a Chef. I'm like a master of the Grill and Dutch Oven. I could enjoy talking to him. Corinna, if your Husband is like me i prefered to just read also . Patty kind of forced me into this . HAH! Now i can't stop. Thank goodness i'm on vacation. Is anybody besides me going to use the Radisson buffet breakfast as a warm up for the eat-a-thon during the cruise ? I plan to use the workout facilities on the ship to balance out all i eat. HAH! I'm getting our monies worth back in food.

You know, I honestly don't know what kinds of cars he use to design. I want to say sports models but not quite sure. I have known the man for eleven years and still do not know much about him. Every year I get him wine for Christmas because that is the only sure fire thing I know to get him. He makes grapa from scratch (Italian moonshine). I am a light weight so have never tried it but my friends who really enjoy drinking think it is the bomb. It has definitly the reputation to only be consumed by serious drinkers.
I am happy we are on deck 8 right next to the midship elevators....it will make it convient to run up to deck 9 in the mornings and grap the Mickey waffles. Oh, and I have to remember where to get the moccoachino. I can never watch the Disney promo dvd without craving the pizza they show on board and then there is of course the free ice cream....hi...my name is Dawn....I am an ice cream a holic......I might even need to bring my own bowl......not just any bowl but the industrial strength one that you toss salads in. (j/k) I dont need the gym.... I figure I'll work the calories off walking being the buffets.

Hubbie (Mark) is a Bears fan......but, he'll watch any football cause he's in all those fantasy things online......fantasy sports his online obsession.....disney is mine! Sometimes, I think we both need therapy!!!

Quick question.....does anyone know what night is Pirate night? My friend read Nassau night which would be Monday, but the last time we sailed, it was on Castaway Cay night.......so, now I'm confused!
And, any other ways to figure out what our dining rotation will be?

We went to the Disney Store tonight......my husband and I got Mickey and Minnie t-shirts to wear to one of the 2 Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Parties will be attending while were there! Excited about that!

Hey, Patty! I know it's late. I just got in from work (we audited Bath and Body Works tonight. I can't believe women pay 22.00 for 6 oz. of a scented spray (mostly alcohol) to make their hair glow or shine or whatever illuminating effect that bottle of goo does) and I'm going straight to bed.

(It's officially the 5th, one month until we hop the train for Florida)
