Thanks Corinna! If I happen to see you on board, I will send a Margarita your way for sure! Looking forward to reading it tonight!

I always thought the 'i' in iPod or iPhone stood for I as in 'me' for some reason - like in the personal sense, although I have no idea.

I'm not too sure what size T-Shirt I am in the US! I'm sure I have 1 WDW T-shirt that is a ladies medium, and 1 that is a Youth XL. DBF for sure would fit into a Youth L - he has a couple of US tshirts at home, so I'll check the labels tonight!!

Hello all!! I hope you don't mind that I dropped by your thread to ask a question?? I am sailing a week after you & wondered if any of you in GTY have gotten a stateroom assignment yet?? Again thank you for being so hospitable & allowing me to visit.

I don't know the answer to your question but just wanted to say your welcome to drop by anytime and we'll get the boat warm for you :)

Over the years I had a Walkman (until you could no longer get tapes and let's face it, the sound quality was not wonderful), a portable CD player (which ate batteries and meant I had quite a lot to carry around with me as I needed CDs as well) and a cheapy MP3 player (that still ate batteries, had a very low song capacity and the sound quality was not fantastic either).

Sounds familiar. I've done the Walkman, the portable cd player and the cheapy mp3. Same complaints about the batteries. I still have the portable cd player. I don't have a cd player in my van, so I plug the CD player into the tape deck with an adapter. DS and dh each have an Ipod. Ds's is nice but older. He got it for 35.00. He loves it. Dh bought his from a guy at work who needed cash fast, hence a great deal for dh. I will actually have to buy mine off Ebay if I get one. Dh has a couple Ebay gift cards he wants me to have in order to buy an Ipod for myself. I never thought about getting an Iphone. I'll have to research those.

After all these years of never wanting a dog, Dh and I have actually starting talking about getting a dog....one day. It seems we have very different ideas about what kind of dog, though. Why does this remind me of two people talking about their future children.

Monica,

:lmao: thats so cute. One of you probably wants a BIG dog and one wants a little dog??? Can't wait to hear what you decide. I think it's great you are talking about it now, that way when the right dog comes along you'll be ready!

Monica, I have that same struggle with myself. I love my big dogs so I feel protected and I love my little dogs for sitting on the lap (although the big ones think they can do this too) and easier portability. Both will give you lots and lots of love! Good luck and I can't wait to hear what you decide to do one day. :)

Hey it's very quiet around here this weekend!!! Anybody home???? It's August!!! Woohoo that means our trip is NEXT month!!!! I am so glad it's finally getting here. I guess I better get my bottom moving on the rest of my FE gifts.

I can't believe how this has crept up on me. I can actually say I am going on vacation this month as we are flying to Florida on August 31st.

Corinna

I'm home (finally) after working fri/sat......and I'm tired! But, I'm off for four days and don't have to work till Thursday! :cool1:

Wow! I am  happy for you! I know how thrilled I feel when I think about being a roughly 5 weeks from leaving, so 28 days is even more thrilling. I can't see that we'll be doing a Disney precruise trip any time soon or ever (due to the financial ball and chain of this house we so half-foolishly bought before we really had enough of a down payment) but it sure sounds like fun. By the way, what kind of progress did you make on your portfolio since you last posted about it?

Trip insurance. Who bought it? I totally forgot, but I think I have time. In the past, we've used www.insuremytrip.com .

I should be at church right now, but I got way too gungho about cleaning the basement up yesterday. I strained my back. Not horribly, but enough that I knew soon after the last box, I would need to take care of things before the inflamation and/or spasms kicked in. That's not why I can't go to church though. Because I knew I overdid it with the hefting, lifting, and putting heaving bins on shelves too high, I took an iboprofins which didn't do much. (old bottle). So I took a Valium afterward to reduce muscles spasms. I figured the prescription was so old, I could take a whole one without much effect. WRONG! I am still loopy this morning. I'm going back to bed. No, take that back. I'm talking to Patty IM first.

We bought trip insunrance and I'm thankful that my mother talked me into doing so. I really didn't think there was a need to because there was no way I was going to miss being on the Wonder. I figured even if there was a hurricane the boat would still need to go somewhere. Well, now mom's boyfriend may have prostate cancer (we just get one grandpa well and now we are back to praying with the other one). We won't know until the tests come back on Aug14th. So depending on what happens and how he is feeling he may not be coming with us. I sure hope he can come. I have learned no matter what to get that trip insurance! We also used insuremytrip.com

Dawn,

I'm sorry to hear about your mom's boyfriend. I'll be praying for him. Keep us posted.

We missed watching the Wonder leave port this afternoon. Went for a ride with hubby and got back and just forgot until a few minutes ago and of course it's busy now and you can't see anything!!! :confused3

I meant to look up the webcam today too and forgot all about it.
Thank you Patricia for your prayers!

we will be keeping your family in our thoughts of course...I hope all works out well. We used Access America for our insurance...it covers weather, work and other types of trip "interruptions" plus it covers lost baggage issues from the airlines and all that stuff...check out their website for more info if u are still in need of puchasing.

I myself have hit a major set back in FE project, as I have not been on in a while...my computer (just love my HP...yeah right) decided that its hard drive was in desperate need of crashing...therefore all my designs and the downloaded software (all legal copies of course ;-)) have went to the land of the blue screen of death. I put an order in this evening for my design software but they insist it will be 4-6 weeks for delivery which puts us very close to our sail date...if i can get the beast up and running we will all be sporting some sweet shirts...if not...you will all be getting a gift that is just as sweet just not a shirt...so sorry...did i happen to mention how much i just "love" HP....grrrrr

Dawn,
I am so sorry to hear the bad news. He is in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully all will turn out well.

The portfolio is coming along nicely. My line manager (who rocks by the way) was very impressed. There is a few Is to dot and Ts to cross, but otherwise we are there. We have to do my action plan together which we will do sometime this week and the final sign off. By this time next week this should hopefully on its way to Dubai and then I can concentrate on the other aspects of my job. I am so behind with my call monitoring.
I still do not know what happened that we ended up with the vacation of a lifetime like we are about to embark on. Still, this is the perfect timing for it. My life seems to have turned completely upside down (in a positive way) since April and this has given me something to focus on and look forward to.

Tony,

so sorry to hear about your computer. It's sad how much we rely on them. My work was offline for two days and it was pathetic, I can't function (nor my boss) without access to the internet. I hate when things crash and you lose programs, that is really the pits. No matter what you end up doing for the FE, I'm sure it will be fine.
