I am excited that my hubby loves our 'baby' so much to do this. I never would have looked into this knowing that it is ver expensive, but he said we HAVE to, it's our baby. When we left the vet, hubby said, good thing we already have our vow renewal and cruise/land trip all planned and booked, otherwise we wouldn't be going! I'll update you after she has her surgery to let you know if my baby can see my face again!

Wow, what a guy! I know that would probably not happen here.

Hello everyone. My name is Shawn and my girlfriend's name is Nichole(PoohBear111 on here). We are from the great state of Delaware. We recently booked this sailing and we're very excited, it will be our first cruise. We will be in stateroom 6503. We look forward to talking to all of you and hopefully seeing some of you.:goodvibes

PS - We will have questions.:disrocks:

Hi, Shawn and Nichole. Welcome to our thread. As you can see from my signature, this is our third Disney cruise but the first one that will be just my husband and me going. We have a fourth cruise booked for late next year, but that one's an anniversary cruise (50th for in-laws and 20th for dh and me) and the in-laws are treating. I work a part-time job so we can go on Disney cruises. We just love them!

It's been a while since we all discussed Palo reservations. With our window of opportunity coming up (90 days for Castaway members), I'm trying to decide whether to try to book brunch or dinner. I don't think dh has a strong preference either way. The ONLY reason I would pick dinner over lunch is for the chocolate souffle. Brunch or dinner :confused3 and which day. Decisions, decisions..

Shawn and Nichole, Welcome! (also my fellow Delawareans, small world!!!) I know this is your first cruise (same for several of us), but have you read about or thought about fish extenders? about a possible dismeet on board? And if you are still around and wish to vote for the 'title' of our group, please do so before voting closes. Some of us are making magnets to put on our stateroom doors (there is an entire thread about that and also fish extenders on the regular cruise boards). Again, welcome and jump right in. If you want to join the yahoo group, just pm me (or click on the link in the first post).

Thanks for the warm welcomes. Can someone point me somewhere to understand the whole magnet and fish extender thing?

:goodvibes You all know what today is, right? :hyper:

It would not be the 90 day mark by any chance? I have lost all concept on how long until we are cruising. I think the 75 day mark for our cruise on the Magic is June 18th.

Corinna

No, unfortunately, it is not the 90 day mark. That's Monday. It's the three-month mark. Three months from the day we sail!

I don't book our excursions through DCL, just Palo. I just checked the DCL site and saw this:

Can I reserve more than one meal at Palo?
Because availability at Palo is limited, each Guest may dine at Palo for one Dinner, one Brunch and one High Tea per cruise (note that Brunch and High Tea are only available on select cruises).

That's good news. I might be able to book brunch and dinner.

Monica,

I read that the same way, so we are booked for our dinner and a brunch at Palo. Our dinner will be the Nassau night (after our vow renewal) and our brunch is on the day at sea! I cannot wait! Three more months!!!

I also managed to book brunch for the At Sea day and our dinner will be on Pirates night. I am hoping to get brunch, tea and dinner on the Magic. I have not much hope that I can get brunch and tea at the 75 day mark, but we should get to the port nice and early and will get in line for Palo reservations as soon as they let us on the ship.

Corinna

I have high hopes for your success. We were able to book brunch and dinner that way.

I guess we don't have to decide on a day for the brunch since there is only one at-sea day. It's a question of dinner on Nassau day or Castaway Cay day. I have to look up the estimated time for sunset on those days. By chance our last dinner at Palo was just before sunset. I wouldn't mind doing that again.

Tonight, at midnight, I and probably several hundred other people will have their shot at making online reservations! I'm working tonight. We start at 6pm. The book store we're auditing is about 20 minutes from my house. It'll probably take 5 hours to count the store. I might just make it back to my computer before midnight!

Wish me luck!

Good Luck with the Palo ressies. I haven't eaten there but, some people love it. I've always been happy with the dinning room.

Welcome to the newbies!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We went to Universal yesterday and just hung out today. It's been very hot and we had to turn the solar off on the pool because it was getting too hot. 85 degree water is a little too warm even for me.

I got home a lot later than I thought I would, but it didn't matter in regards to booking Palo because the DCL website won't let me book it! DCL's math must be different than mine because it is technically Monday, the 9th and to my calculations, that is 90 days from our cruise! Oh, well. If that's the worst of my disappointments in life, I am very blessed. LOL.

Good Morning! Hope everyone had a good weekend! I've been ill with a virus these past couple of days, so I haven't been able to get on!

Corinna - CONGRATULATIONS on the new job! That is fantastic news! Well done you!

Patricia - I hope Abbey will be OK! And congrats on losing all that weight! How do you do it?!

Shawn and Nichole - WELCOME!! Looking forward to having you on our cruise!

Justthe8ofus - Hope you had a great time! I would love to be able to pop over to Universal!

Always something I forget :)

I hope you guys can make your reservations OK! I had a lot of trouble making mine... the website was completely playing up and I was up for 3 hours trying to make them.

The poll is now closed... Mickey's Party Pirates or Sparrow's September Sailors?

And woohoo for the 3 month mark!

I don't mind either :) The others can decide!

I'm in the middle of making our other magnets and things to stick in the window at POFQ :teeth: I'm also making DIY luggage tags!

Hopefully DBF can borrow the laminator from work tonight as ours is broken, so I can finish some things up properly! Will post pics up when I'm done!!
