Paid off our cruise today (still have our land portion to pay off, but that's not due til July sometime). One big relief there!

I am well prepared for our vacation now. Today I received two copies of the PassPorter's Guide to the Disney Cruise Line and its Ports of Call and two copies of PassPorter's Walt Disney World!

Yes, three friends from the USA sent me a surprise and they all arrived yesterday. One sent me both books, another one the cruise guide and yet another one the Disney World guide. I have PMed Hayley to see if she wants the spare ones as I don't need two of everything.

I got the confirmation from my brother for our flight to London this weekend! :woohoo: I'm SO excited!! :cool1: I've never been out of the country before. :cloud9: I'm going to be a tired puppy when I go to work on Monday. :faint: I'll have some stories to tell though! :thumbsup2 I'm counting down....already packed. :hyper:

Dawn,

Have a great time! Takes lots of photos (since you know how to post them). Enjoy yourself!

Hi, Ladies,

This is just a check-in post to see what you're all up to. I haven't had the time to get on-line much. Exercising, forget about it~! Way too busy finishing up the school year with the kids, working at night and trying to keep things going at for the co-op and at home. Things should get a little more relaxed in June.

We moved the chicks and their mom out into the chicken yard yesterday. They have a special area out there for the next couple weeks -protection from the other inmates until they're bigger.

Gotta go get dressed for work.

Hi Monica,

I've missed chatting with you. My work, your school, co-op and job, keeps us from getting together online. Hope all is well and you didn't have any trouble with all that rain earlier this week. Still working out each day, moving forward on the 5k training. Hope to talk to you soon.

Where is everyone? It's almost 5am. Shouldn't you all be up and making your coffee? ;) No? I know Patty will be up with the dogs soon, but I'm going to bed. I just got in from work and wanted to check something on line before I go to bed. Be back later....maybe..

Monica,

NO WAY!!!! You can't be staying up to that time. You'll be exhausted when you have to get up later on today. Get some sleep hon. My 'girls' let me sleep til 5:45 today!!!! Actually that is when my alarm went off, but I layed there til almost 6am!!! That's sleeping in for me.

Abbey (my pug) is completely blind now (she has diabetes and lost her sight in a matter or maybe two weeks). We are dealing with this and actually looking into a doggie eye doctor for her.

I hope you all have a good Friday! I'm sure I'll be on again later.

Well, Tink's out of the country this weekend and Dolphingirl is probably busy reading her passporter. Who's around? Patty, you're probably around. I'm sorry to hear about Abbey. I wonder what it's like for a dog with sight to go blind. Can she find her way around? What kinds of things does she have to readjust to? How was gown shopping?

I feel good today. Friday, I did not get adequate sleep so I was dragging but functional. It's always like that the day after a super-late shift. You know how it is, takes a couple days to recover. I didn't work last night and I managed to sleep until 9:30 this morning! Enough sleep and a cup of coffee-laced hot chocolate and I was good to go for the whole day.

I've been challenged by my former camp counselor to a Scrabble showdown next weekend at our camp reunion. My game is a little rusty, so I might have to use some of my precious online goof off time to practice my game. (It's been a year since I've played.) It's prideful but I don't care about winning, I just don't want to embarrass myself.

Hello everyone! I'm not out of the country. :sad2: I made it all the way to the plane but it filled up at the last minute and I couldn't get on the plane. So after sobbing at the gate for awhile:sad1: , I came home and started planning my next great adventure. :) My brother said maybe we'll try for Japan next time. :thumbsup2 I hope everyone is having a good weekend! Time for me to go do something special with my boys. :thumbsup2

I'm having a tough time saying no to Christopher....basically because I really want to say yes. Chris fell in love with a dog at the pound http://www.petharbor.com/detail.asp?ID=A231585&LOCATION=SRST&searchtype=ADOPT&start=3&friends=1&samaritans=1&nosuccess=0&rows=10&imght=120&imgres=thumb&view=sysadm.v_animal_short_2&bgcolor=white&text=black&link=blue&vlink=blue&fontface=arial&fontsize=10&col_hdr_bg=006600&col_hdr_fg=FFFFFF&SBG=006600&shelterlist='SRST'&atype=&where=type_DOG
He wants to name him Demon from the movie "Snow Dogs". I LOVE Siberian Husky's and that combined with the fact the he is older and at the pound (where they do euthinize animals afterawhile) makes it really hard to say no. I need to say no because I need dog #3 like I need dirt floors in my house but I'm such a softie. I just keep praying someone adopts this puppy before I cave!

Patricia, I'm really sorry to hear about your pug. I had a shi zu that went blind but I didn't know it until we moved and she started running into the walls. Our dogs are amazingly able to adapt, and allthough sad, I'm sure she will end up doing fine with all the love she is getting from you. :)

Hi gals,

Monica, so glad you caught up on some sleep. I too got some sleep this weekend, but have that nasty tired headache. My one friend wants to do our 5k training today, but I am afraid I am not going to make it. Can't run with a migraine.

Dawn, so sorry you didn't get to go on your trip. How disappointing. I guess with how much the cost of fuel is the planes are running full with very few empty seats (making it very hard for those that can ride standby not getting much). I hope you'll be able to travel soon though. As for the dog, I understand and he is georgous! But I'll pray someone else adopts him first.

Abbey (our pug) is adapting the best she can. It happened so quickly (we think from her diabetes) so it didn't give her a lot of time to cope. She's sleeping a lot (thinking she is depressed). When we do go out, she makes out ok on a leash (I keep her right beside me) but in our yard, I usually just let them run. She gets lost out there and runs into the fence or bushes (and that's not good on her eyeballs), as pugs eyes stick out and can easily be damaged.

It's raining again here (not bad though) and it's not too cold, so other than my headache I wouldn't mind.

I did order my gown yesterday. I do not have any photos, so I might stop by the shop and take a couple this week to post in my PJ. I went to two shops I hadn't been to, and two I had been to and ended up at a shop that I stopped by one day on my way home from work. The dress is simple, yet elegant. Not too fancy, chiffon, very light weight for the cruise and it has pretty criss cross straps in the back. I am praying that there is no problem with this one. They said if I hear from them this week, means I'll have to put a rush on it (which is MORE money)! I hope not as it was a little more than I wanted to spend, but not nearly as much as some of the others I looked at.

Well I hope you all have a good rest of the weekend. Glad to see someone is posting on our board. Enjoy your Sunday!

I think you had a lucky escape there actually. I ended up going down to London yesterday and it was absolutely horrible. The temperature was only in the mid 40s and it rained non stop. Still, I had a great time.
My employer sponsors one of the soccer teams in London and part financed their stadium. The stadium is actually named after the company I work for. Part of the deal was that we would be able to use the stadium for one day a year for our interdepartmental soccer tournament. We sent two teams and there were also teams from Manchester and Heathrow airport, UK head office, our tour operator arm, a team from Germany and a joined team from Malta and Cyprus. Our manager had agreed to provide a bus to go down to London as we had two teams going and there were spaces going spare so I went down with some friends from work as spectators. I am not at all interested in soccer, but really wanted to see the stadium, but the atmosphere was wonderful. Our first team won the tournament so that was great as well. Of course, I have just applied for a supervisor position and I don't suppose it goes unnoticed that I am willing to give up my day off to support a corporate event either so it is all good.

Thanks for making me feel a little better about missing my trip. :) It sounds like you had great fun! I enjoy spending time with my company. We will be renting a boat later in June to cruise around the bay in. We also have a great time together. Good luck on your promotion! If they are smart, they will see the warm and intelligent person we have all come to know. ;)

I finally gotten around to do my trip report for Dubai. I have posted that on our Yahoo Group.

I have read a lot of talk about laynards on the ship. How great they are to have to carry your KTTW card ect. I have one that I have had forever that I soppose would work for me. My question is......I found these on ebay that I thought might be cute for the boys. I know they could use them in the parks but my bigger question is would they be useful on the ship? :confused3 http://cgi.ebay.com/Mickey-Mouse-Go...photoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262
