Patricia, no this was something from Disney Cruise line that had to do with booking the cruise. Something you should be keeping an eye out for. It had several booklets in it pertaining to diffrent things such as shore excursions and packing lists. Most of it made me feel like I was just reading a version of the dvd but there were other things in there that were good to know......like you can't board the cruise naked. :rotfl:
I'm really rooting for you! I think that is awesome how you have gotten yourself up to 2.5miles! I remember the first time I ran a mile on the treadmill...it felt like such a milestone. I felt really healthy to be able to make it that far (couldn't do it now though). Keep up the great work and I can't wait to hear about your run next week! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: Hopefully I can get my act back in gear and follow suit.

YEA!!!! We got ours today!!!!! Darn, hubby will be upset to know he has to wear clothes to board the ship, lol, only kidding.

I just read on the trip report side of the forum that a pipe burst on the Wonder and flooded several rooms and the hallway on deck 7. :scared1: I'm sure they'll have everything ship shape soon (no pun intended)

I read this the other day and checked the first page of your board here and was glad to see that it wasn't any of our rooms. It sounded like it was a mess, but fortunately nothing major was ruined (of those in the two rooms). I hope and pray we don't have any problems.

Well it's almost bedtime and NO cheesecake today!!!! YEA!!!

3 miles by next Wednesday for Patty! I will if you will. My electronic readout doesn't work on the treadmill. An hour is probably what it will take, don't you think?

I read about that pipe bursting on the Wonder. I would think, even if it was one our rooms, it would be fixed long before September. If not, hmmm, free upgrade? I wouldn't mind that.

Welcome back, Hayley! I was wondering where you'd gone to.

Very tired. Talk to you all later!

Monica

Well, I realized this am, there is no way I can jog 3 miles. What was I crazy??? :rotfl: I have been working on the eliptical machine, working up my mileage and today thougth I'd try the treadmill!!! WHOA, What was that about? I couldnt' even jog a mile, I was dying! I may be walking the 5k if we do it (haven't registered yet). But yes, Monica, if I walk at a good pace, an hour should do it. So I can shoot for that and anything better will be a bonus. I am very beat today, so I took it easy. Did one mile on the treadmill and three miles on the bike (had a headache too, I'm a migraine sufferer). Hoping tomorrow will be better.

WOAH! This thread is going through the roof :teeth:

Patricia, the weather is just blah over here. It's still quite cold and quite rainy. Me and DBF are going to a themepark - Blackpool Pleasure Beach - tomorrow, so I really hope it stays dry!!

Well done you for the keeping fit! I really need to go to the gym before our cruise! I keep telling myself I will go to Weight Watchers next week, next week :)

Oh and I totally understand the cheesecake thing! The Smores cheesecake in Whispering Canyon..... a must!!

Well I made it through all of yesterday without any cheesecake (and there is still more at home). But I am determined to do good. I got to see that scale go down!!!

Patricia, gravity will get you every time! If it isn't pulling down on your muscles....then it is making all your skin sag! Kudos to you on staying away from the cheesecake! We had Chili's today. I had two fajitas and two cookies. I stayed away from the evil chips though....well....there was ONE really evil one that had to be destroyed but the rest I allowed to stick around and reak havoc on some other unsuspecting person(insert evil grin here). I think that earns me one brownie point, right? I'll trade my brownie point in for a cookie later. :rolleyes1 Keep up the great work Patricia! I love it when the scale goes down! Of course, I try to negotiate with my scale if it doesn't give me the number I want. I continue to step on it in diffrent patterns trying to make the number change just a little. As if standing a little to the right.....a little to the left....up a little...down a little...maybe if I hold my breath.....what if I step on it really lightly.....will at all change the end result. :rotfl2: I'm still rooting for you on your 5k adventure! I think your doing fantastic!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
Hayley, what kind of theme park is that? What sort of attractions do they have there?
Monica, sorry to hear your so tired. :guilty: I hope you can get some well deserved rest soon!
We have cub scouts again tonight. I think between Christopher's cub scout project and his normal homework we'll be up till midnight!
I hope everyone is having a great Wed! :hippie:

I must be crazy because I am NOT wishing the cruise was tomorrow, next week or even next month. Even though the cruise part is paid for, I'm still saving up for the non-cruise part of the expenses we'll have. I just started a part-time job a few evenings a week. All the paychecks will go into our cruise savings. Once we've met the goal amount, I'm quitting. Just kidding. There's next year's vacation.

Tink, if you want to have the edge on your scale -weigh yourself in the morning, naked, before breakfast, after you've used the toilet, plucked your eyebrows, shaved your legs and underarms, cut your toenails, and do the weigh-in up on the roof where there is less gravity. What do you think? You know I'm just being silly, right?

Hayley, nice to have you back. What do you teach, by the way?

Monica that was really funny.....and don't think I don't do half of those already! :rotfl: I actually am glad too that the cruise is still months away. I also need to save money for all the same reasons. Right now I'm trying to just get my cruise tips payed for! Before Christopher's birthday is Chase's birthday so I have money to save up for that. I already have the hotel and WDW tickets payed for for his birthday extravaganza in May. I have both boys birthday gifts payed for. I just need to buy Chase's cake. I'm soppose to take Chris to Oregon to see his dad for a week this June so I have to make sure I have the money for that. I am fortunate my brother works for the airlines and it doesn't cost much at all to fly.....we just have to be able to get on the plane. With flights getting fuller and fuller that is getting harder and harder. Chris actually told me he'd rather see his father than go on a Disney Cruise and if you knew my son at all you would know that is a HUGE deal! I'm going to do everything I can to get him there. I will also take the opportunity to see my friends in Seattle while Chris visits with his dad so that will all add up. So little time and so much saving:scared1: ! I also like having so much time to be excited. I really enjoy planning and meeting all of you is definitly a hightlight! :thumbsup2 Once the cruise actually gets here it is going to go by SOOOOOOO fast. I'll enjoy the getting there as long as I can. :) I actually had a dream the other night that my family and I were on the Disney cruise and my mom's boyfriend got VERY sea sick. I pray that isn't an omen.:scared:

Ok, Dawn, Monica and I were 'chatting' earlier and we want to knwo WHERE do you work that you get lunch catered every day. (part of me wants to come work there, part of me wants to stay VERY FAR away)!

I was dying reading your negotiating the scale, I can see me doing just that. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Oh, goodness Monica, I was dying with this description also... :rotfl2:

Dawn,

I think this is awesome! You are such a good mom to make sure your son can still get to see his dad (even though it's the other side of the country).

I work in a VERY large doctors office and we have drug reps that cater us lunch every day and breakfest two to three times a week. They bring us all sorts of goodies. I got water bottle holders the other day that are insulated and have a little clip to hook onto your backpack or whatever. I figured that will be perfect for the cruise! :woohoo: Today we had Benigans.:drinking1 They have the best salad and sandwiches ever! I had a brownie and a cookie too but at least I didn't make it a party of brownies and cookies! I actually did well with my portions today. I am very lucky to have a free catered lunch every day! :cloud9:

wow Dawn that is awesome!!!

I'm flying to Florida and applying for a job where Dawn works.

Ok, no big plans compared to last weekend. My den is still clean!!!! WOOHOO! But I have not scraped all week. I did go to the y this am. So six days again this week. I'm pretty impressed with myself (I was a couch potatoe six weeks ago!!!). Granted I haven't seen major improvements yet on the scale (or in the mirror) but I FEEL better and I have more energy, so those are two bonuses. I am getting together with my friends to scrap this afternoon (this is our weekly get together for a few hours on Saturdays). I do have to take my baby (Abbey, my pug) to the vet. She's diabetic and has to have her blood sugar checked. And the typical, I need to dust the house, get this 'junk' listed on ebay, laundry. My list always outnumbers the hours in the day. And what am I doing now, sitting here Dis-ing!!!

I hope everyone has a great weekend. It's georgous here today! Was 85 yesterday, looking to be close to that today and then BOOM back to spring!
