On the other hand, once dh has had a couple beers, he'll wear the bandanna and even an eye patch if I give him one. LOL.

By the way, I finally called my mom to ask her if she would like to watch the kids while we are on our cruise. I figured she'd be thrilled and she is.

Monica,

I hope you slept better last night! :goodvibes I was dying about your hubby. Yea my hubby is not one to get 'dressed up' in costume, so who knows, but I'm sure he'll enjoy a few beers too and may be talked into putting that bandana on, lol.

YEA for your mom being excited!!! Glad that you don't have that hanging over your head.

I think enjoying the afternoon on the ship will be very relaxing and I'm looking forward to it! The only thing I would like is a Bahamas stamp on my passport! We only get a stamp if we fly out of the EU, so at the moment, I have a stamp from Turkey, and a stamp from the USA - I'd love a Bahamas stamp!

Brunch AND Dinner! Are you allowed to book 2 Palo reservations if you pay the $10 per head towards them? I really hope so! We are hoping on doing both brunch and dinner - we have the Romance at Sea package so I'm not sure if that makes any difference?!

Oh, and good afternoon! It's 12.50pm over here now!

Hayley,

Being this will be a first trip with passports, I WANT a stamp in it, lol!!! In the states Palo is $15 pp, but in the UK, you may have different things. Part of the Romance package is your dinner (or brunch) at Palo, so you don't ahve to pay for that one. We get our one dinner as part of our vow renewal (they change you $1500 for the vr, so they give you a couple 'little' things, lol).

Now that we have added on the land portion that we weren't initally going to do, I really have to try to keep the 'extras' to a minimum. We won't be doing any real excursions in Nassau and as for Castaway Cay, probably just soaking in the sun!

No, I think you are right... I probably made that figure up

With the Romance package, I was going to get dinner, and pay OOP for brunch, or vice versa, so hopefully I'll be allowed to do both!! How gracious of them to throw in Palo for 'free' ;)!!

Soaking in the sun on Castaway Cay sounds good!! We'll probably hire some snorkells and that's it. I was going to book the paragliding, but after hitting the parks hard, I think we need to do some relaxing before going home!!

No, you didn't make it up, it use to be $10 (my son and dil did a disney cruise for their honeymoon). I think you can book the additional palo especially since the one is from your romance package.

We are most definitly dressing up pirate night. My eldest son has been a pirate every year for halloween for the last five years and my youngest has been a pirate for the last two years. We have TONS of pirate stuff around the house so it isn't a stretch! I am going to try to come up with a pirate custome for myself. I'll be lucky if my mom and her boyfriend wear even the pirate bandanas. I know my mom won't want to mess up her hair! :rotfl:

I never did find out what happened last night so I assume the police got what they were looking for. :confused3 My poor son was scared to death last night....he went around making sure all the doors were bolted shut. He was happy to have a HUGE dog to sleep with. :dog2:

Hayley, I have read that you are only allowed one Palo Reservation per stateroom but that may not be the case with your package. It is definitly something to check into!

Patricia, what is the couch to 5k program? You've been doing SO awesome.....I get excited to hear about your progress. :cheer2: :cheer2:

Monica, that benedryl is a killer! It is great to put one into a coma! I have been having terrible allergies/ sore throat/ nasal conjestion. I use the clariton D (or allegra d if I"m at work) and that helps me to feel human again. Breathing is ALWAYS a good thing! Hope you feel better and get some rest! I am really glad to hear your mom is as excited as you thought she would be!

Well, I might be around later but I have to be a good mommy first and help my son with his project about the inventor of radio. I hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!

Dawn,

I think it's awesome you guys have pirate costumes. I'm sure they boys will have a ball. As for the couch to5k here is a link.

Thank you Patricia! It looks fascinating and I wish you lots of warm wishes. :goodvibes I would love to try it but I have to do something the boys and I can do together. I can't leave them at home by themselves. Bike riding has been the best thing thus far. It has been great exercise and something we can all do together!
Well, I'm off to bed. Have a great night!:hippie:

Good Morning!! Thank you for the great info guys :)

Our DCL info came yesterday!! I am so excited!! I love the little cute folder it comes in!

It states on the planning calendar part of the letter that the date we are allowed to make reservations, etc. is May 25th, so I will definitely make the Palo brunch one first because after seeing some more photos of it yesterday, I *think* that is the one I want most. Then I'll try to make the Palo dinner reservation, and if it works, great, if not, then we'll just have to try it next time ;)

And it does indeed say $15pp for Palo in the pack

Tinkerbell, I'm glad some other adults will be dressing up! I definitely want to, how many times in your life do you get to dress up as a pirate?! pirate:

When are we allowed to start checking in for our cruise?

Only 118 days til we leave for the World!!

Hayley, from what I understand you should be able to check in that same date. We don't get to partake in that fun until 6/25 and I fully intend to be online right after midnight trying to make my plans. :thumbsup2

I hope everyone is having a great Wed.

I have to post an amendment to something I said earlier. I told my mom that I didn't think she would wear the pirate bandana because it would mess up her hair. She shocked me by saying that not only was she going to wear the pirate bandana but that she wanted a pirate custome as well! :thumbsup2 :wizard: She said she is on vacation and she is going to have fun! She can't wait to dance the night away! :dance3: This is the same woman who almost refused to get on a train to Moracco because she was having a bad hair day. It just goes to show we can learn something new about our loved ones all the time. :cutie:

After weighing and comparing our options concerning transportation to Florida, it looks like we're taking the Autotrain down to Florida for the cruise. It's going to cost $594.00 for all five of us and our car. We certainly couldn't fly and arrange ground transportation for that cheap. It's barely more than the cost of driving ourselves and a heck of a lot more relaxing and comfortable.

This will be my third (dh and the boys' fourth) trip on the Autotrain.

Now that I've told my mom about the trip, should I tell the kids? LOL

Oooh, I'll try it then :)

I was a bit worried with the Cruise documents, seeing as we'll be in WDW 17 days before we Cruise, I was worried we wouldn't receive them in time. I'll ask them to forward them onto POFQ for me just in case, but at least I know I can print off my cruise docs online :)

Dawn,

Can't wait to meet your mom, she sounds like fun! Can't say my mom would dress up, but she'd be pretty gone by dinner time, so I could see her in the bandana! Will never happen though, cause she won't get on a ship.

Monica,

This sounds like fun! Do the kids know you and hubby are going on the cruise? I guess it depends on how they are...

if I told mine something four months in advance one would keep bugging me wanting it to come sooner. But, come on, wonder where they got that from, I'm the one that keeps say 'so many days til our cruise'!

Patricia, My mom is great fun! She LOVES to dance! I was just afraid that with her boyfriend around she wouldn't want to participate as much. Last time she danced down the street in Key West and he hid in a doorway. I'm glad I'm wrong about that and she intends to be a party bug. ;)

Monica, hmmmm, I dunno about telling the kids. Are they going to be upset to find the boat leaving without them?:boat: Summer is almost here and it would give them a lot to be excited about thinking about going to grandma and grandpas! Of course, if my boys knew what was happening I'd NEVER hear the end of it. As it stands now, they ask me how much longer until we go to AK in May.....and they have been there a gazillion times! :rolleyes2 You'll have to be sure to let me know when you tell them. I'll be anxious to hear their excitement. :)

I hope everyone is having a good Thursday! If you haven't seen this story already, I thought you would enjoy this from my neck of the woods: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24254754/
It is mating season ya know! ;)

Patricia, I live in a rual community with very few houses. We have seen LOTS of wildlife but I started telling everyone I lived in "The wild kingdom" when, after a rain storm, I had to wait for a catfish to cross the road! :rotfl2: That was the first time I had even heard of a walking catfish. I have seen many many many gators but luckily not in my own backyard nor kitchen for that matter! ;)
I was at the store yesterday and bought a new bathing suit for the cruise. :woohoo: I bought it a size smaller than I wear now because I fully intend to be one size smaller by the time we cruise!. :thumbsup2 Of course evil Olive Garden was here for lunch again today. :rolleyes1 Darn those breadsticks!

OMG Dawn, I was :rotfl: reading that about the 'walking catfish'!!!!

I LOOKED at bathing suits on the disney site today but I so have not idea. It's been years (litterly 5 or so) since I've bought a suit. I do need to cause my old one is too big, but I hate to spend money on something that only makes me look bad!!!!

Oh the Olive Garden, I would not be happy!!!! I love their salad! but yes those breadsticks are YUMMY!!

You know Patricia, I totally understand how you feel on the bathing suit situation. I have giggly thighs and flying squirrel arms (I have so much flab that if a good wind blows I get blown back two feet.....I think if I flapped really hard I could probably take off in a good gail!) I have decided though I'm going to have fun anyway no matter what anyone else thinks!;)
