Mickey's Not So Scary Party: Early Ticket Buy Question

We have a WDW resort room booked for Aug 28, one night, before our Wish cruise on Aug 29th. We disembark on Friday, September 2 and want to go that evening’s MNSSHP. Are we able to do early booking on May 12 or do we only qualify for early booking if we have a resort room booked the day of the event?

Although I can't answer your question, I wanted to make you aware in case you weren't already that the early booking date is only for specific resorts (it doesn't state which they are yet but usually deluxe so maybe keep an eye out for that)

I'm staying at Pop Century Resort which has, in the past, been included in the early booking resort list.

Ditto this. I received an email saying I am eligible to purchase on 5/12 and we're staying at POP.

I interpret it that the "select hotels" are those added that are not Disney hotels, and all the Disney hotels are included.

Guests of select hotels at the Walt Disney World Resort can begin purchasing Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party tickets as early as May 12, 2022. All other Guests may purchase tickets beginning on May 18, 2022.

The advance purchase window is available to Guests of Disney Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, as well as Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort.

It's for all Disney resorts. I'm staying at value and got the email that I can buy tickets early.

You would only be eligible to buy tickets for the date that you have a resort reservation so August 28th as it stands. You'd have to book a room on property for your return date to qualify for early booking as I understand it.

I received it on 4/28, and then another one from the same address on 5/12.

Go into MDE, My Profile, Account Settings, then scroll way down to Email Preferences. I found that section a few weeks ago and was amazed at what I did and did not have checked regarding what email notices Disney could send me!

Do you ever get a confirmation that you are signed up? I asked in chat. They walked me through checking each box to sign up. I was signed up. I unsubscribed from everything and resigned up. I still get nothing. I called and they signed me up over the phone. I have not seen any emails from anything Disney. Do they do things like sending you 60-day reminders? I just find it funny that I was signed up for every email and get none. The only thing I ever got was a confirmation email months and months ago when I first booked the vacation.

I just looked at it and unchecked several things I don't want, like Golden Oak Realty, Institute, Aulani, Cruise, Adventures. My gmail address is clearly on the top, yet sometimes Disney send notifications to my old email and I can't get them to fix it. So when I make a dining reservation it goes to the right place, but reminders about the reservation go to the wrong one.

Your problems are not unusual, unfortunately, and it seems Disney IT is unable to fix them. It always makes me sad to hear of people missing things because of poor IT.
