Just planned a trip down for the week of September 17 :woohoo: and thought we should check out the MNSSHP.... Thoughts from anyone who has experienced it if it is worth the cost? :confused3

I love MNSSHP. We are taking our adult/children spouses and buying 11 tickets for it. Yes, I think it is worth it.

We went last year for the first time and I loved it. We go to Disney often and it was so much fun experiencing something so special and different. Make sure you read the thread that will begin about what to see when- there is so much you actually need a plan and still will not see everything. We skipped the candy lines and had to miss the villian show. Not sure how old your child is but there is a dance party that has the TS characters that was wonderful, our 3yo loved dancing with Woody and Bullseye, we stayed for over a half hr.

We also went last year and would highly recommend going. The fireworks were better than wishes. We all had a great time, I just wish I would have brought a costume. If you go get a dinner reservation in the park, we had a Five pm reservation at Tony's town square and it all worked out really well.

I would also highly recommend it. Certainly worth the extra cost. We've found the crowds very low at the party, especially in September, the Halloween parade is awesome, the fireworks are wonderful and its just a really great atmosphere.

Well that does it then! We're definitely going! Like some of you have said, we've been to WDW numerous times but never this time of year. So it will be fun to experience something different.

On the mmnschp - We took the morning off, went to extra magic hour the night before. Goofed off during the day / 1/2 down day. Then went over to the park around 4pm. got in early which seem to be the norm, then had a great time.

Well worth the cost.

you can get into MK with your hard party ticket as early as 4pm. The parade alone is worth the cost. You will have a fantastic time!

I love NMSSHP - you get TONS of candy, great character interaction, and hardly any wait on the lines. I do second the costume idea....it is so much more fun if you are dressed up. The first year we didn't wear anything, the 2nd time we wore Halloween type shirts, and the third year we all dressed up as the Flintstones. I think this year we are going to be cowboys/cowgirls.

I went for the first time last fall and we LOVED it! One of our trip highlights! Definitely worth the cost - for us. We don't do a lot of character interaction (except a meal or two) so that didn't matter to us. The kids liked the candy - but that can be bought so it didn't really matter. The fireworks were soooo cool! But the limited ride lines were our favorite part!!! We went on BTMRR five times in a row and never had to wait. We went on Space Mountain 3x with no wait. THAT was our favorite part!

Has any taken a toddler?? My son will be 21 months and I am hesitant to take him. He usually goes to sleep around 8:30ish and we could bump that back, but wondering if he will just meltdown!

What if it pours buckets though? I am holding off for now on buying our Sept tickets because I fear spending over $200 and then having an all out downpour that would ruin the evening.

I am already booked and did the tickets and am just now learning about MNSSHP. Do I have to pay an extra fee or how does that work? The tickets I have are park hoppers not sure if that makes a diff.

The MNSSHP tickets are a hard ticket event, a separate purchase from your regular park passes. There are specific evenings in Sept/Oct when the parties are held. Here is a link to Disney's page with ticket & party information.

I've been trying to convince my 18 yr old DS to dress up with me for when we go. We are going there in October for his senior year trip. It will just be the two of us. Maybe if I can't get him to dress up, maybe at least a halloween shirt. I think I may wear my Cinderella costume even if he doesn't dress up!

You know, I did have that thought cross my mind. I wonder if they're transferrable to another day if that other day is not sold out. :confused3
