Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party

We went to MNSSHP last year for the first time. DH, DS10, DS8, DS3 and myself. We all dressed as characters from Hercules and were selected to be Grand Marshall's in the first parade . It was the absolute best thing that we have ever done at WDW. (We've been 8 different trips) The parade was great, the lines were small, there was a lot of candy and special shows. We had such a great time that we went back a second time. We only wore matching T-shirts the second night and while we had a good time and got a lot done, it was a different experience than it was wearing costumes. The CMs and other Guests really gave us a lot of attention in our costumes. I would love to go back for it again, but it falls during school time so we probably won't be able too.

Thank you for all the wonderful information! We will have four adults and 2 kids in our party, and I think we are going to check it out. Even with the extra cost, whose to say that we will make it back down at that time of year again. To answer the question about the cost...according to the 2006 Unofficial Guide the cost in advance is $32 for adults, and $27 for the kids. If you buy them at the gate is says the cost is $36 and $30. I dress up every year and go trick or treating with my kids, this sounds like a lot of fun.

Last year, I went on Oct 2. The other two times I went on Halloween night. I had fun all three times. Each time, there were parts of the park that seemed crowded and other areas not so crowded. It just depends where you are at what time of night. I really think that if you have a plan in place, and set priorities of what you want to accomplish, then you will have a great time regardless of the crowds.

I got my picture taken on Halloween night with a small line; I got it done and over with right at 7:00p. We always focus on trick or treating and had no problems with the lines. Yes, there were lines for candy but the lines move VERY fast. The CM are very good at making the trick or treating lines move fast. We always wait for the second parade as its less crowded and its even less crowded near Liberty Square rather then on Main Street.

Oct 2 probably had less people but we had just as good a time on Halloween night as we did on Oct 2. I wouldn't hesitate to go again on Halloween night.

If possible I'll be buying tickets for one of the AP discounted nights (just like I did last year for MVMCP). My dd and I will both have APs but the other mom and her dd will have just MYW passes. Can I buy all four tickets or will the non-AP people have to get their own?

YOu can buy the tickets for them so they can have the AP discount.
