We will be going the third week in October. I was trying to see when I really need to get started planning. When will the Halloween Party Tickets go on sale. Another question about the party. The ticket your given is totally different, right. We are purchasing 7 day no expire no hopper. Will we be able to visit say Animal Kingdom during the day and go to MK for the party that night? Thanks for all your help. This is our first trip to Disney, so I am a little out of loop.

When we started planning our trip for Oct 05 it was April or May and I think the tickets for MNSSHP were already on sale. It is a completely separate ticket, and even if you didn't have ANY other tickets for WDW, the party tickets would allow you into MK.
You might want to consider the day before the party as a bit of a "down" day, since the tickets are pretty pricey and the party runs late. But yes you can go to AK or somewhere first then to the party later.

I was wondering if you needed a park ticket to get in so thanks for the answer. I have some park hopper plus tickets left from a few years ago with 1 day and some plusses on them so I was going to use them in October 2007. It will be a short trip from Sun-Wed, so I figured I would only have to buy the MNSSHP tickets and use the other tickets for 1 full day in the parks and a plus for a water park and just go to the party that night. I will have AP's for our August and December trips this year but then I can finally use up those tickets for October 2007.

Yes, your MNSSHP ticket is seperate from your regular ticket. The Halloween Party lasts until Midnight so we always take that day off from any major activity such as walking around, etc. We'll usually swim at the pool and just hang out. Also, even though the Halloween party officially begins at 7:00 you can get into the Magic Kingdom with your MNSSHP ticket around 4:00. One year we made ADR for LTT for 5:00 and last year we just slipped into Cosmic Ray's to eat dinner right about 5:45 and sat there until about 6:40. The ended up opening Fantasy Land and Tomorrow Land a little early and we had that side of the park to ourselves for about 30 minutes.
Also, being this is your first trip to Disney all of this may sound very overwhelming, but you have come to the right place. Feel free to ask all of the questions you want/need to.

WELCOME!
