Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Questions

I'm so excited for my 1st MNSSHP! I can't wait to see all the Alice in Wonderland characters (I think it's weird no Cheshire Cat, though ) and I would LOVE to get my picture taken with Snow White and the 7 dwarfs! We have a 5:15 ADR at Tony's the night of the party so I hope we get finished eating in time for me to find Snow White! :rotfl:

MNSSHP is a blast. I have been 4 times. We saw the walrus, Alice and the Mad Hatter in the treat trail. As for Snow White and the dwarfs we have not been so lucky. while we have seen them, we don't ever want to wait in the long line for them. My advice, be right by their spot (over by Dumbo) right when they are scheduled to come out, I think it's right at 7.

Are there PhotoPass Cast Members with the characters taking pictures? If not are there at least Cast Members there to take pictures with your camera?

Thank!

Some of the characters don't have PhotoPass with them. However, there will be a character attendant with them that could take your picture with your camera.

Ok DIS Experts.......I need you on this one.

My wife and I are going to the World over Fall Break and will be attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party on the night of Sunday Oct 18th.

So here's the deal.......we will NOT be using a normal park ticket on the day of the party. We are going to swim at the resort and take it easy during the day and go to the park for the party that night. We have been to the Halloween party before (2006), and at that time, your party ticket would get you in the gate at 4:00 pm. The party officially starts at 7:00. As I understand it, we will be able to get in at 4:00 again this year. We currently have 2 ADR's at the Crystal Palace for an early dinner (don't worry, I'm about to call and cancel 1 of them). My wife was on the computer and I was on the phone at work attempting to book.....we both got ADR's.

So we have an ADR for 3:30 and one for 4:45. My question is, if we keep the 3:30 ADR and drop the other one.......will they let us in the gate with only a party ticket in time to make our 3:30 seating?

I would love to keep the early one if we can but.....if not.....no biggie, we have one for 4:45.

Anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks Guys!

No, they will not let you in any earlier than 4:00p with just your party ticket. That is already 3 (extra) hours before the official start of the party.

Lets try something out....
What do you do for dinner when attending the MNSSHP?
Thanks

Dressing up as pirates and getting makeup at the new Pirates League in MK where Jack Sparrow is recuiting new pirates. Then going to Pirates Island (the Polynesian) for Dinner at Ohana's then we will ride our pirate ship (Ferry) back to MK for the Halloween Party!

Lots of places on the Internet to buy pirate clothing on the Internet -- ruffled shirts and things like that.

I can not wait until OCT 13th! Going to be an awesome night for my family:) First time ever in Disney (with our 5 and 8 year old girls) and a Halloween party they are going to flip over!

I'm going to MNSSHP on Oct 2nd and then again on October 6th. I have never been to the Halloween party I have done the Christmas one so I sort of know the drill

My mother and I are character junkies and my 8 yr old son is a ride junkie.
The Oct 2nd's party is for my mother and I to go character hunting, go to the parties and see the shows. Basically whatever we can fit in.
Zach can't complain 1 bit or he doesn't have his WHOLE day at Disney Quest the next day. (he's a computer nerd LOL)

The Oct 6th party is whatever Zach wants to do at the party. I can't complain 1 bit even if it is to ride Branstormer 15 times in a row :o(

Anyway, Does anyone know what characters are out and where? During the Christmas party you can always find certain character at certain places is this the same during the Halloween party. I'm not talking about the unusual ones. I'm talking about the most common ones that are there all the time.

I know Alice & Wonderland characters are always there, I know Snow White and 7 dwarfs are always there.
My mother's favorite characters are Snow White and the Dwarfs. She has never seen all 7 dwarfs (she's only met Dopey and SNow White). I would love to be able to jump on that line first. Are they located in the same place every year? If so, would that be by Snow White ride. Would Alice be by Tea cups or by "her" party.

thanks for any info.

Yes. Snow White and the Dwarfs are always in Fantasyland (usually around Dumbo). As for the Alice in Wonderland characters, they are in Toontown for MNSSHP (on the trail between Toontown and Tomorrowland). Others are:
*Mickey and Minnie are in Toontown, in costume
*Cinderella and Aurora (and princes) should be in Toontown in the Princess room
*I think the fairies should be out
*Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore and Piglet are out, in costume near Pooh's Playground
*Woody, Jessie and Bullseye should be in Frontierland, near the Diamond Horseshoe
*Peter Pan, Wendy, Hook, and Smee should be near the PotC ride
*Aladdin, Jasmine, Abu, and Genie should be near the Carpet ride
*The villains from Mix and Mingle come out in front of the castle after the shows (pictures only)
*Tarzan, Jane, and Terk; Baloo and King Louie; Rafiki and Timon come out in Adventureland

Thank you for all the info. I'll be in Disney for 10 days so I'm not worried about characters I can see at anytime during our trip like the "fairies" unless they are in costume.

I don't even think I'm going to see the parade the first party day. I can use that time to gather character photos. I figure while everyone is watching the parade I can go a hunting LOL

thank you again.
I'm making a list and checking it twice

Im calling for MNSSHP tix today. we leave on sept 4th... ill get them on time right?:cheer2:

Yes, you should get them in time. They only take about a week to arrive. Regardless, if you are within 2 weeks of your trip, the CM won't ship then anyway. They will insist on your picking them up at Will Call.

I'm not sure if this was asked yet or not but...
If you can get into the park at 4 and you want to wear a costume (adult, not kid) are they ok with you dressed that early? Or should we get dressed closer to the party time in a bathroom later?

You're fine at 4---we have always gone in at 4 in our costumes, even if it looks rather strange(and sometimes HOT) to be costumed at that hour.

I am so excited! I will be 5 mths pregnant and will be taking my 4 yr old son for his first trip to Disney, and both of our first MNSSHP! We are going 10-12, anyone go last year for Columbus day? Were the crowds horrific?

This is our families first Disney trip. We have heard such great things about MNSSHP that we have decided to purchase tickets for the event. I am afraid to pay $208 for 4 tickets and it rains. I know the event is rain or shine, but I do not want to pay that kind of money for tickets to walk around in the rain. We are thinking that we will go the night of Sept. 29th. Are the crowds really heavy during that time? We thought it might be ok to wait until we got there to purchase tickets since it is on a Tuesday night. WWYD??? Thanks in advance for any advice!!
