I made my costume last minute out of a T-shirt, some shorts, needle, thread and a hat I bought there.

And my mom made the jack sparrow wig and we bought the rest but I think my mom may have fixed it up.
My brother just wore a mask.

So what is everyone planning on doing this year?

I can't make up my mind- I'm probably going to go as Esmeralda, but that isn't set in stone.

I am so excited that MNSSHP is starting on Sept. 4. Taking my DD6 to WDW for the 1st time and she has no idea yet and then we will go to this also. I am sure it will be a treat for her, and me as I have never been to the Halloween Party either.

I changed my mind!! haha (I said Esmeralda wasn't set in stone!) I'm going on 10/23 and I'm going as Meg. This is the costume I got-

I'm not wearing the necklace and crown and I'm adding to the dress to make it more like Meg's. I'm so excited!

Make sure to look for me if you're there!

Thank you (those who posted great pics of their families and kids in costumes) so much for inspiring us to consider our MNSSHP costume ideas

I doubt that Muetti and I (we're Passholders) are going this year, but if we do, we'll wear matching shirts, matching backpacks, and bottoms of choice (hey, maybe have Muetti's co-workers do the same if going with us), have moi carry a flag, and pose as a mini tour group! I know they're the ire of a lot of us (me included, I have to admit, because they take up so much space and lengthen lines), but hey, those South American kids I have seen time and time again provide a great costume idea if you're going to MNSSHP in a group!

I was at the thrift store looking for a dress to repurpose as Auruora for DNiece, and I saw this exact costume for, like, $2.

We went on the 6th and 9th, and it was so much fun! I posted a video from those nights on YouTube here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0o48NLizqTI. It has our costumes (White Rabbit, Cheshire and Mad Hatter) plus a few other cool ones we saw. I hope you like it. :goodvibes

I roasted in my furry costume, but I'd do it all again. I can't wait to return next year!

Your video was awesome! We really enjoyed how you put videos in with your pictures & just loved the background music!!

Our family went to MNSSHP on 9/22 & had a completely amazing time! I'm trying to work on some sort of picture/video combo like you did! Just awesome! Thanks for sharing! :goodvibes

Jjzmgailey, thank you so much for your kind comments. This was my first attempt to make my own video, so I REALLY appreciate what you said. :goodvibes I just used the free program, Windows Movie Maker, and it was pretty easy!

I’ll be keeping an eye out for your video on your blog. My family loves watching other people’s Disney videos to get our "fix" in between visits!

:thumbsup2These are all great, I can not wait for the big family trip to dress up w/ DNs & NFs. Have the costumes all ready:banana::banana:

Loved watching the video, great costumes here. MNSSHP is the best, I hope I can go again this year but I won't wear anything so warm next time...I was dying of the heat and really feel for the characters more than I ever did before,

Luvchefmic, that is a cute costume! I like the special, Disney themed ones like yours best. Seeing the other people dressed up was really cool -- we even had a few people come up to us and ask to take our pictures.

October sure can be muggy in Florida. I was roasting in my sleeveless top, so I think I would have passed out if I wore a full furry outfit! ::sunny:

We may go back again this year, too. We'll dress up as a family again, since that was a hoot. Not sure who we'll be yet. I loved seeing the amazing family dressed as the Incredibles last year, but I definitely don't have the figure for Elastigirl....haaaaaa!
