Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central!

Baloo,

Unfortunately, according to WDW site, BTMRR will be closed for rehab Aug 24 to Nov 19. That puts all us party-goers out of it!
(Boo--that's one of my favorites) But, I'm SURE there will be PLENTY of other things to do.

Looking forward to the Haunted Mansion and to see Main Street dressed up for the party!

Well I've done it,many thanks to all for the advice,4 adults & 2 kids winging their way to MNSSH on the 10/5,this will be after Howl'o' scream 9/26 & Horror night 10/3 !!
Just going off at a tangent what are the normal parades in the park this year?I notice that MK is still listing "Have a dream come true"? We seen this one 2 years ago?!

6 WEEKS & COUNTING!!:jester:

Just to be clear, when people write that they are going around 6pm for the MNSSHP, does that mean that they are able to get in with ONLY the hard MNSSHP ticket at that time? Without a regular park admission, or do you need both to get in before 7pm???

There are 5 of us, but one will not have an UPH pass as well.

Thanks!!!!:Pinkbounc

Sorry to ask this when I know it has been asked before, but I get distracted when I go back to try to find the answer. :o

Will counter service restaurants be open during the party? We can't get a PS at the LTT until 7:10 on the 19th and that's a bit later than I want to eat. I don't want to spend that much of the time from the party eating. I would like to eat around 5 or 5:30 that night. We have thought about leaving the park, but I don't really want the hassle of leaving the park and getting back in.

Thanks for your help!!!!!!!

You can also try and get PS for Crystal Palace and the Castle when they open up for PS.

Yes, some counter service will be open.

Both CP and the castle are already open for reservations for any MNSSHP date due to the new dining PS policy.

thank you kilee! That's great news for us because LTT was totally booked on Oct. 3rd and with your info we were able to get dinner PS at CP that night.

Hey I have two questions. First of all do you have to be in costume to get candy. And second of all, where is the picture taken and is it better to get it early in the evening or later because the crowd thins out?? Also is it better to eat at one of the resturaunts or should we just go to one of the counter service places?? Thanks in advance for your help!!

Thanks. For some reason I thought the LTT would be the only place we could eat after 5:00. Since we have CRT that morning I decided to try CP that night.

When I was making my PSs, I WAS TOLD that LTT was the only place that would be open for dinner. We're going there, and that's great with me.

Looks like the new dining policy has changed things though, which is good, I think, because I called back in the spring & got my tickets to MNSSHP for 10/3 & my LTT reservation. The next day, I called to see if I could change the seating time and was told they were already COMPLETELY booked!! for 10/3.

Under the new PS policy, we did get PS for 5:20 at Crystal Palace on the 26th! ;)
I know LLT is booked so any who want in at MK for dinner prior to the party should give a call!

Just made priority seatings today (now a 90 day out policy) for Cinderella's on October 31 at 5:05 pm.

I kind of forgot that you can now do this too, since they changed the policy!

Just to clarify, as I'm reading through these posts, since I will have a UPH ticket, I can be in the MK prior to dinner, get my wristband (where do I go for this??? Confused) and then go to dinner, and be in the MK for the party at 7. Am I correct?

Thanks for the great posts everyone!!

If any of you could shed some light on opinions for dinner - which do you prefer? Cinderella's Castle or Crystal Palace? I need a place to eat before the MNSSHP.

As always - thanks for the info!

You'll probably get lots of different opinions on this one. My preferance is Cinderella's Royal Table. That is my absolute favorite at the MK. It might be fun to watch FantasyLand clear out while you are eating too.

What night are you going?

Michelle,
We finally narrowed it down to 10/31 - so I was finally able to order tickets!

Our DD is 9, and does not know that we have a PS for CRT for breakfast on 11/1. Is that too much of the castle?

Thanks for your help!

In my opinion, NO. There can never be too much castle for me! But your daughter might be disappointed that there are no characters for dinner. Or she might enjoy being able to look down on FantasyLand. Could go either way for you.

Hope you have a WONDERFUL time!

Just to let everyone know OUR TICKETS HAVE ARRIVED!!7 days after ordering they arrived-still haven't recieved our passes from the Uk operator-Go figure?
I notice a few discussing dining in the park, what sort of food is on offer? We normally always eat counter service when visiting the parks.
This is also our anniversary does anyone know of anything that I can arrange as a surprise?

I just read something a bit disturbing in the 2004 unofficial guide which contradicts what I have been hearing on these boards. According to one reader who wrote in, they had visited the party for the past two years and commented that it is so crowded you shouldn't attempt any of the attractions.

This is a concern for my group. We want to ride the mountains and a few others and now I have no basis to draw a touring plan for. We aren't going to be at the MK except for MNSSHP and are actually attending the worst night - 10/31 which falls on a Friday.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Shooby Doo,

Wonderful that you're making the trip from Scotland---in MK--take your honey to Tony's Town Square. It's right as you enter Main Street--off to the right. We usually go at lunch. The food is excellent Italian. The decor is based on "Lady and the Tramp".
Pick up a Birnbaum's Guide book from the wdwig.com site. It will tell you about the restaurants of Epcot. A lot of people like the Coral Reef restaurant for romance....(seafood). We have enjoyed visits to Nine Dragons in the Chinese pavilion. In MGM--the Brown Derby is the best place. (it's on the right just past the street that goes to the Tower of Terror) In AK--we usually stick to counter service. In Downtown Disney, Fulton's Crab House would be the choice. (seafood and steak) It's in the water in the steamboat. Decide what you may want and MAKE PRIORITY SEATING. The LAST thing you want to do is wait because you didn't prepare. 407-wdw-dine or make them when you arrive ---ask the desk Cast Member.
Congratulations!

Our experience is that the MK IS crowded at first....after the first parade crowd thins out nicely.
It will be overwhelming at 7:00,be patient.
We don't go to ride the attractions during MNSSHP,we go for the party.....
MK takes on a different look and feel during MNSSHP,it's fun just to wander around take in the colors, costumes the decorations, ect. and not put pressure on yourself to ride anything.
And we sure don't waste any of the party time eating at a sit down resturant.
HAVE FUN
