Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central 2004!!!!!! =0)

Maridw and others going on the 29th. . .any plans to meet up for anything? We have decided on roman/greek/toga costumes for all, except the costume I wanted was sold out, so I am going to go as cleopatra (same era, and husband could be caesar or mark antony or something). OH, my husband and son are going to look so cute in their togas! hahaha! They are actually great costumes with lots of details. . .not just a sheet.

So, any plans for meeting?

LTT is completely booked for Oct 22nd. We will only be entering the park with our MNSSHP tix, so should we just eat earlier at the hotel or should we make a PS somewhere else in MK? If so, where? (they are probably all booked!)

MNSSHP tix get you in at 4pm, right? Does it say right on the ticket (mine are en route as the travel agent ordered them for me)
Is it worth it for me to enter at 4pm if I have no PS, are attractions shut down for a while while MK is closing? This is my first time to MNSSHP, obviously!

Thanks for your Help!!!!

The only night that the MNSSHP will be happining when we are in town is our day of arrival. If we arrive at 4:15 (we are coming from Nebraska and don't have a lot of times to choose from) and get to the party at 7:30 or so can we still have some fun and is it realisitc to think that we can arrive at 4:15 and still do the party?

No it doesn't say that you can get in at 4:00p on the tickets. It's just been done the past 3 years. No guarantee but I'm 99% they'll continue to do it as it makes the gates at 7:00p not so crazy.

You can do lots of rides between 4:00p and 6:00p but then they will make everyone staying for the party go to either Tomorrowland or sometimes Fantasyland from 6:00p to 7:00p and you can ride the rides there...while they are clearing out the park.

Crystal Palace, The Castle and Tony's will take PS till 6:00p on party nights...and you can book them at 90 days.

Also you could eat at a monorail resort.

Hi Diane,
Thanks for your reply! And I'm very glad you were able to switch your ticket dates.

Hi Mike!

I'm in Omaha, When is your family going? We are going to the party on the 28th.

Laura

Mom2Princesses: I would call back on check on the availability. Sometimes one CM says it's full, but another gets you a table. It couldn't hurt. Or you could eat elsewhere, Crystal palace is always fun.

::yes:: Meeee tooooo! ::yes::

I was also able to book a PS for LTT for the 17th as well (I did cancel the original PS for the 8th). I was worried that it might be completely booked since the MNSSHP ticket holders have been able to book this for quite some time now, but there were still several PS times available.:bounce:

The rest of the good news is that we can stay at WDW one extra day by switching our dates! :sunny:

Any thoughts on whether Thurs the 14th or Sunday the 17th would be better? I'm leaning towards Sunday b/c we leave the next day. Is there any reason to choose Thurs over Sunday?

Too bad we won't be there at the same time. You can give me all the good hints when you get back tho!!!

I'm so excited - I just got done decorating our costumes :). Just had to share since everyone I know around here thinks I'm nuts for thinking about halloween stuff already  October 17th will be here before I know it!

Also - can you guys that have the Bush 2004 logos after your signatures please tell me how to get one too :) (sorry, but I'm somewhat computer illerate when it comes to stuff like that!)

Thanks!:)

I just sent you instructions and hopefully I explained it alright!;)

Thanks, I think I get it now. I will check for Crystal Palace (never been there) and recheck LTT.

I always do things so last minute -- and yet they always seem to "magically" work out!

Thanks again!

I have a question about trick-or-treating. We'll be there on Halloween, so my kids will miss out on trick-or-treating back home for the first time (poor souls). I know there is trick-or-treating during the Halloween party, but does anyone know if there is any place I can take them to trick-or-treat during the day? Also, what is the trick-or-treating like in MK?

I don't think anywhere does trick or treating during the day but several resorts and DTD do it at night.

The trick or treating at MK is fun. It's at several locations and you can see them by a big orange balloon of Mickey floating up high. The candy is good real candy and they aren't cheap about it. The lines can sometimes get long BUT they move VERY fast. Each location has different candy. There was one location in Liberty Square, then I remember one by the Tea Cups and one a few in Toontown.

You can get a map when you enter the park with the locations.

Hi--I just read something in the Unofficial Guide. He excerpted a letter from someone who went twice and complained that the crowds were just unbearable for the MNSSHP. He said the Christmas Party used to be bad, but they started limiting the tickets to 20,000. Does anyone know if they limit tickets for this? Why would that guest say it was so crowded when everyone on here says it's nice and UNcrowded? Help!
:D

Crowded is in the eye of the beholder. I've been to the last 4 MNSSHP's and Magic Kingdom has always been more crowded during our day visits then for the party. Rarely did we have to wait more than 5-10 minutes for a ride. I can't say that about our day visits. It's just a great way to spend time at the MK.
