Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central 2004!!!!!! =0)

DS on-line just added new Halloween costumes! And, if you purchase today, you can get the 15% off! I just ordered my ds(7) a Prince Phillip costume for our CRT bkfst. and a Stitch costume for MNSSHP!

I'm a terrible mommy, but what if my DS (age 3) doesn't wear a costume? I know the 1-yo probably won't leave anything on unless it's a regular clothes type thing, the 3-yo will, but it is worth the hassle? We are eating at LTT prior to the party, and I KNOW he can't eat in his costume....

Are the MNSSHP t-shirts available in little kids' sizes too? I thought we might just all get one of those, but I don't know if 3-yo will care or not. I don't want him to feel left out with no costume.

BigBabyBlues,

What if your children wear regular clothes type costumes? Like Woody the cowboy, a pirate, etc.? Or maybe their favorite occupation (doctor, police officer, etc.)?

Have a great time planning!
:)

Lisa -- who will be at Disney and is thinking about attending a MNSSHP pirate:

Hi! I am so excited. Although the kids and I have been to Disneyworld several times, my husband has always refused to go. This year, though, I asked him again, and he said YES! So, we're going for 9 days, and we'll be at the Halloween party on the 29th. Let me ask you, though, can we still get in at 4pm if we don't make PS somewhere? And, I'm not sure I am following this. We can get in at 4pm without dinner plans, and what? Go anywhere until 6pm--when we'll be shuttled into Fantasyland or Tommorowland? Please let me know!

Thanks!

Yes, for the last 3 years or so they have let party goers in AFTER 4:00p with only their party tickets and you did not need a PS at a restaurant. Of course, all things Disney are subject to change but that is how it has been before.

They will give you a wristband and you can do whatever until 6:00p and then all wristband guests will go to Tomorrowland while they clear out the rest of the park.

Eating in a restaurant can avoid the herding if you so choose.

Well, thank you! You're quick!

You are welcome! I'm quick on the subjects that I love and I'm also subscribed to this thread!!;)

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I don't have the patience to read this entire thread.

When everyone is herded into Tommorrowland at 6:00, are the attractions there still open? In other words, can you ride Buzz and Space Mtn while you are waiting, or do you just have to stand around trying not to be impatient?

We are going on Oct 29 for the first time ever!

Thanks.

Yes, you must as the Halloween parade is ONLY shown at the Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween party. There is no other way to see it.

Let me try this again. I posted this once but in the wrong place. First time that I have ever posted. I was wondering if MNSSH is worth an extra night stay. We are scheduled to leave Disney on the 1st of Oct. Saw all of these wonderful post and am reconsidering. This is our first trip ever to Disney. We have a room on the 12th floor of the CR. Thought if we stayed an extra night we could switch to a room only and stay in one of the garden rooms. Is it worth the extra night?

We are considering go to MNSSHP on Oct 1st. Since it will be the first night, do you think there will be a lot of park guests in costume? Also Oct 1st is a Friday night - do you think it will be very crowded?

Thanks,

tkay

robinson, first of all, welcome to the DIS!!!!! You will find soooo much information on these boards!

In my mind, it's worth the extra night to stay for MNSSHP! I have to admit that I haven't been yet and this year will be my first time, but I have seen so many posts from people who just had a wonderful time. Since it's only 1 more night, I'm sure it will be more than worth it! I've also seen a lot of people mention that they've gone more than once and they still rave about it! Besides all the Halloween celebrations, the lineups for the rides are supposed to be very short so that's hard to pass up just in itself! And all the Halloween festivities are supposed to be awesome! Plus you get a free photo too!

Of course, any more time in WDW seems like a good idea to me! Have a great time on your trip!

:earsboy: WELCOME to the DIS robinson!!!:earsboy:

Well MNSSHP plus the F&W Fest at Epcot makes Oct. my very FAVORITE time of year to visit WDW!! 2004 will be my 9th time at the "world" for these events sooooooooooooooo IMHO YES it is worth it !!!! :earsboy:

F&W starts Oct 1st this year so you could go over to Epcot for awhile earlier in the day then attend the Halloween party that evening. They both are "must sees" in my book! :D

tkay ...I haven't been that early in the month to a MNSSHP before but I'm sure there will be a great number of guests in costume though. From what I've read from last year by DISers who attended the first party I think the first MNSSHP won't be too crowded.I think that would be a great night to attend!!!

Thanks so much for all replies.

Must admitt I have learned so much from these boards.

What is the F&W in Epcot? Looks like I now have two reasons to stay another night. :teeth:

Hi guys I have a question about our PS at LTT on 10/17 Sunday and MNSSHP, I originally made a PS immediately, but now our travel party has changed and I am not really sure how many people will exactly be there so I called back last night and made another Ps for the additional people, I want to know is are babies considered part of the reservation party, like when you tell them 6 people dining, would it matter if there was an additional child age 1 or under with you, and if so is there a charge for them??

Also, I just read that everyone will be gathered in Tomorrowland, if we are eating during that time, when we get finished will we have to go over there or can we stay by Frontierland. The Ps we have is for 5:30, is this enough time to eat before the party starts. Sorry for all the questions, we are first timers to the party and to LTT and any other PS dining place.
Thanks,
Kim

I went to my first MVMCP on the first weekend last year and it was very pleasant. Crowded but not too bad, no long lines for rides, stayed for the 2nd parade and was able to find a great place to sit and watch.
The Wine and Cheese party at Epcot is really very interesting. I've been there twice and am looking forward to going back this year.

Thanks for the info. This is the most informative site. I am always recommending it to friends who are planning trips to WDW.
