Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween DIS Party! DISney Princesses Party with Style! *DONE*

Wow Lindsey, it looks like you both had a truly amazing time. I didn't realize how all out they went for the food and wine festival, I hope I have a chance to check it out when I am down, looks amazing, thank you for sharing your day with us. :goodvibes

Thanks so much for the F&W update. I am going down on 10/20 and can't wait to try everything. I am glad to hear WOL is open, just wish cranium command was running. I made a special trip in Dec just to be able to go inside WOL as it was rumored that it was going to be the last time the rides would be open and I had never been inside there.

I forgot to comment on Wonders of Life........glad they opened it for the festival & it looked cool set up for the wine tasting, but it makes me so sad to know that is how it being used. I  Cranium Command & am :sad2: that I won't get to see that again...luckily we did see it in 2005 when we went down to the half marathon.

Any ideas what the real plans for it are? :confused3:

Thanks for posting the pics from the F&W festival......everything looked so great! Was it busy when you were there? I'm trying to talk DH into going for the festival one year......it looks like so much fun! :goodvibes

Have a wonderful DIS meet!!! Less than one week! :thumbsup2

Yay!!! :yay: Thanks for the Food & Wine pictures, Lindsey! I hope you had a great time!!! :goodvibes I can't wait to go! Only 5 more days! WOOOHOOO!!! :dance3:

Can you post a picture of the shirts you guys are wearing to MNSSHP? Are they all Lime Green? I can't decide if we should wear our Lime Green Mickey shirts to the meet...

Pre-TR18.jpg

Or wear our MNSSHP shirts from last year with our Focker Lanyards...

Pre-TR13.jpg

Decisions... decisions!!! LOL! :rotfl: I hope everyone has a safe trip to WDW! I'll see you all on the 5th! :goodvibes

-Michelle

I actually have our shirts posted on the first page of this Trippie! The front and the back. :thumbsup2 Check it out! :goodvibes We all have different shirts, some are white, lime green, or lime green tie-dyed. I think the majority has white. Mine is white because I didn't know how the design would stand out on the lime green. They are really cute! :goodvibes

DH actually has that shirt, but in red! He wore it to MVMCP last year. I bought it for him! :thumbsup2 I like that shirt, but either would work. I know we are not all in lime green shirts, but are representing the DIS with some lime green somewhere!

I can't wait for Friday!!!!!!!!

Oh my, i can't believe i missed 4 pages!!! love the food and wine festival, that was my absolute favorite time to go!! i would have loved to come for the DIS meet, but did want to take the kids out of school. maybe in a few years me & dh will come down again in oct.for now it's just july or aug.
well i am gonna go catch up on your newest trippie.
oh, also i can't believe The Wonders of Life building was opened. i think i was in once- 2001, for my honeymoon.
and i hope everyone has a great time on friday. can't wait to see the pics!!!
~sue

I'm glad you are joining my new Trippie! :yay: I had never been to the F&W Festival and I really enjoyed it! There is so much food to choose from and I did my best to try a little bit of everything! ;) I was glad to make it back into the Wonders of Life building. It's so odd to me that it's just sitting there!

Thank you so much for the preview of the Food & Wine Festival. We plan to stop for some tasty bites at lunch this Friday. I can't believe I can actually say this Friday! :cool1:

THIS FRIDAY!!!!!

It looked like Cranium Commando wasn't there anymore! It looked like everything was gone! :sad2:

Ahhhhh! Now it makes sense!!! I didn't realize that you all had different shirts. I thought they were all lime green. OK, well since we won't be the odd people out if we don't wear the lime green shirts, I think we will go with the black MNSSHP shirts and our lime green lanyards! :thumbsup2 Brenna is still wearing her lime green boa, and she is even bringing her Pixie wings to wear when she hands out her friendship bracelets! :goodvibes

Thanks for clearing that up for me!!! I feel much better now. I can't wait to meet everyone! :yay:

See you there!!!

The next stop was Germany and it was the longest line we encounter so far. I saw the strudel on the menu and I knew what I would be ordering! Yummy! :goodvibes

The strudel was warm and the apples were fresh. It was very good, except for me choking on the powdered sugar! :lmao:

Pearville Fair

n25002324_32875263_5462.jpg

Yes, that's right the Pearville Fair! I also found this very odd! :rotfl: There was an entire area dedicated to pears called Pearville with pear games and even the king of Pearville! I didn't see any "real" pears there though. :lmao:

We finally made it halfway and we still had room to eat more! :goodvibes It started getting windy and then the rain came! The F&W Festival is definitely not set-up for rain! We were in line for the strawberry shortcake and it just started pouring! The Cast Members had to take off running with the cash registers and even the food areas were getting wet. :scared1: Everyone was screaming because they were in line with no ponchos or umbrellas. Luckily, we were prepared with our umbrellas, but it didn't do us much good.

n25002324_32875268_6706.jpg

It was not fun trying to figure out how to eat our strawberry shortcake in the rain. :confused3 We were soaked and DH held the umbrella, so we could try to eat without ruining our food. We were trapped for a while and then ran over to hide out in the stores in Japan. The strawberry shortcake was very yummy and the cake actually had a lemon taste to it.

More to come soon... :drinking1

I have no idea. It seems pretty empty and gutted. It looks like they have gotten rid of all the rides and shows, but the theatre areas remain. :confused3 I hope they do something with it, instead of trying to cover it with potted plants like they have been! :rotfl:

Thanks for posting the pics from the F&W festival......everything looked so great! Was it busy when you were there? I'm trying to talk DH into going for the festival one year......it looks like so much fun! :goodvibes

Have a wonderful DIS meet!!! Less than one week! :thumbsup2

You are welcome! :goodvibes It wasn't too busy. It's the slower season, so it's pretty nice and the weather is much cooler now. It's great! :) It's worth the trip! :thumbsup2

Yeah, different colors and style, but all with the same logos and our DIS names! :thumbsup2 I can't wait to see Brenna with the wig and boa! :goodvibes We are going to have so much fun!!!

I thought it was very interesting that Oklahoma was just randomly represented, but it was one of the neatest places to visit during the F&W Festival.

n25002324_32875340_2971.jpg

n25002324_32875341_3203.jpg

There was even an actual tipi you can go inside and a straw hut. There were actually small cooking demonstrations they were putting on inside too.

n25002324_32875342_3428.jpg

I just loved the Three Sisters Cafe and I had heard some great things about their sweet tea, so we had to go check it out! DH really wanted to try the buffalo. We decided to try one of everything!

n25002324_32875343_3668.jpg

n25002324_32875344_3891.jpg

It started pouring again, so we grabbed our food and went to hide under a covered area. Food tastes better with a little rain, right? :rotfl: I loved the soup! The sweet tea was good too, but I have had much sweeter! ;)

It is a dark, rainy, and dreary day here at Walt Disney World. Let's hope we have just one day without rain! It's not pretty, so I hope my fellow DIS'ers have a safe trip! I know there are a few traveling down today for the DIS meet!

Work is crazy hectic right now. Next time! In the mean time, I'll just have to read about it instead! :goodvibes

Hi! I just found your new trip report. Thanks for posting the F&W photos. We'll miss you by one week. We'll be at the MNSSHP on the 12th for my 50th birthday and then the F&W festival for the rest of the trip. Thanks for helping me with my gifts for my DH and DS. I called back to order for my DS but you were not there that day (must have been eating at F&W!!!!!) but I just ordered from the young lady that answered the phone. Have fun this Friday. I can't wait to read all about it.:woohoo:

We finally made our way over to Canada and this is where being a vegetarian stinks! :guilty: I have always wanted to try the Cheddar Cheese Soup, but there is bacon in it! Why does there have to be bacon!? :confused3 So, since I couldn't enjoy the soup, DH decided it was time to enjoy some beer. :drinking1

It's definitely one of my new favorite WDW events now! :thumbsup2 I recommend trying as much food as you can at all the different countries or you will regret it! ;)
